Arian sounds really down

I saw this interview with Winston, Antonio and Arian. Foster is the last segment at about the 1:50 mark. My home speakers aren't the best and he kinda mumbles but it sounds to me like he said he was ready to go back in and just didn't get the call. Did I misunderstand? Or is he being saved for next year?
 
Well, he said he was ready to go back in, and healthy. But, he had been limping earlier. Just very dissapointed in the loss.
 
Some dumbass on the radio just said, the reason the Texans held him out is because they dont want to pay any bonuses he may have in his contract....BTW a Cowboys fan. :wadepalm:

maybe I am being a little cynical, but it wouldn't surprise me. being the 'NFL leading rusher' is a pretty good bargaining chip. Now that chip is to be squashed it seems...

Either that or they FINALLY made a good freakin' choice and gave one of our stars a rest! Everybody on here knows how short the shelf life of an NFL back is, why would we want to send out Foster in a meaningless game when he is less than 100%? Limit his touches in the last few games, pay him, reap the rewards next season. Simple.

That's what crossed my mind. Hell, AJ's been playing with a high ankle sprain since the second game and he's not sitting. I did see Jacoby getting a lot more snaps Sunday though so maybe they're resting him a little but I did think about *someone* not wanting him to get the title. If there's any truth to that, well it just sux.:foottap:

1. The run had been ineffective all game

2. We were down by multiple TD

3. Pretty sure Foster will be a ERFA

4. The Texans have no problems paying players, especially deserving players

Bob certainly deserves criticism, and lots of it. There's no reason to levy false criticism.

Wait, so Arian Foster felt like he could go back in however the coach felt otherwise and kept him on the bench?

Why didn't Foster throw his pads into the stands? The least he could have done is cuss out Kubiak in the locker room and walk out on his coach (not his teammates btw). AF clearly is not a winner.

I don't know the details of Arian Foster's contract (other than he will be an ERRFA) and have no idea of what his bonuses - if any, are, however it gives me an opportunity to (see above), Bob McNair is a cheap bastard"

redundant posts? more like redundant franchise. its not my fault its the same thing over and over.

bad coaching. bad management/personnel decisions. poor ownership and leadership.

if the Texans were something other than that, I would write something other than that. feel free to refer to my posts during the halcyon days of the early season. I was skeptical but was happy with being 4-2 even with needing comebacks against average to below average teams. was I redundant then too?

i call it like i see it, and its been this way so if my posts are redundant its because they give me little to no reason to ever change my tone because it was probably accurate and spot on from Day One...and it pretty much has been.

like i said before, my record speaks for itself. kubiak sucks and mcnair is cheap and happy with mediocrity.

both have played themselves out just as I expected...but McNair's 'Sunshine' review last week did catch me a bit by surprise...no way, i thought he was that oblivious but i guess he is actually a worse owner than i had originally thought. hopefully it was all a smokescreen and the good ole vote of confidence...but it felt like an actual vote of confidence....frightening. simply frightening.

In case none of you have taken the time to be a FREE THINKER...

Go back and look at Second Honeymoon's posts from week 1 until about week 5 of this season.

He was very excited about this team, this year, and was actually posting a lot of positive stuff each week. In fact, he was sometimes telling people to calm down and wait and see if the defense improves, etc.

But a few people on here go and rag him out, without telling other parts of the story, and people pile on and quote things and create what I consider to be an unfair image of the guy.

He's been here a long time. He's held unpopular stances, for a long time. He's taken as much as he's dished out, for a long time. Outside of straying from the rules about "attacking posters with personal insults," he's been a pretty loyal "fan" to have stuck it out for this long.

I don't always agree with what he says, but it's part of the gig here.

Two games left, and we're already bored to the point of going after one another. Awesome.

thanks, GP. i was hated for thinking carr sucked since day one and now i am hated for thinking kubiak was a bad hire since day one and that he sucked.

seems like i am hated for being right....i'll take that any day but thanks for the support and for the record, I wish I was wrong about this team. they just stink.

and as for being optimistic, of course I was optimistic. we were 4-2 and our defense sucked. i tried to buy into the defense improving but our inactivity/incompetence in FA/draft doomed us.

as for personal attacks, I think its safe to say i am attacked more than I attack...but you won't hear any whining here about it.

i love this board and was here since it opened..albeit under my original banned user profile Honeymoon Is Over back in 2003. yeah, I was pissed in 2003. go figure. at least our defense didn't suck back then.

I got 2 awesome daughters so we really don't go to steakhouses, but if I did the last place I would go is to some immature baller's startup steakhouse. Is bud Adams funding it?

All the more reason not to go to that place (not that I would go pay $50 for a horrible steak ... read the reviews on yelp.com).

I just saw him at HEB on buffalo speedway... I kept calling him but he dissed me and my gf. Not sure if he was just cocky or irritated but he didn't seem happy one bit. Just saying

Just curious...

How could you possibly know from day one that Kubiak was a bad hire?
He came from a winning program, been to and won the SB as either a player or coach, appeared to have put in his time moving up the coaching ladder...this was the logical next step for him. Nothing in his past "shouted" that he was going to fail. (I liked the hire but was ready to move on after the 2nd 8-8 season)

Again, I'm simply wondering what you saw from day-one that you were so down on him about.
