Anyone Else Get Their Fans Survey E-Mailed Yet?

This may be a good place/time to complain about the out-of-town/area/state scalpers on the 'net. It seems to me that a policy like the Chargers have (zip code must be within 200 or 250 miles?) would serve us all well.

The Titans crowd was way outta control. Lots of loud cursing, ect. I knew if the Titans crowd was wack, the Saints crowd would be worse.

the problem you will have with your suggestion is that all the major cities in texas all fall within the 200 to 250 mile range. also the texans would never cut their own throats by restricting ticket sales, remember this is a business. they want every seat to be filled, they also set aside seats for opposing teams fans.

I got the survey.

This is what I talked about.

The Texans are trying to get the fans to be "The Homefield Advantage." At the same time, the marketing group deals with the devil Stubhub, and gives StubHub the season ticket holders' email addresses and mailing addresses. Encouraging season ticket holders to sell their tickets, to usually opposing fans isn't a way to help your homefield advantage.

And I also mentioned that ticket brokers own too many of the lower bowl tickets, including too many in the BullPen. That especially in the BullPen, they should discourage corporate and ticket brokered tickets because that area was originally marketed as our rowdy section.

I don't know what the Texans can do to make sure that Texans tickets end up with real Texan fans, but I do know at a minimum they should stop supporting StubHub.

It would be nice if the Texans went the way some other clubs in the NFL and the Astros do, by using the Ticket exchange for season ticket holders to sell seats that they are not going to use. Versus promoting stubhub.

I'm not trying to get in another battle with those that don't see it my way but, I hope they leave things the way they are. I happen to like making road games and want those fans or brokers to sell me their seats. Call me Stevie Wonder because I still can't see the problem with stubhub and ebay. If you think the ticket prices are outrageous now....wait until someone wants tickets to a Texans home playoff game...outta sight!

I know what ticket costs are, being a previous PSL Owner, and all I can find especially on Stubhub is tix priced 2 to 3 times the face value.
Stubhub is for the money not for the fans!

Those "Titans fans" were actually Vince Young fans. You know, whiney Texans fans who aren't really Texans fans because the Texans didn't draft their college hero. Texans fans wearing Titans Jerseys. Disgusting!

Maybe they could enforce a dress code in the BullPen? All BullPen ticket holders must wear Texans attire or they are denied entry.....

My comments from the survey:

The Texans could do a better job controlling the opposing team fans within the BullPen section. The current Texans promotion is "Be the Homefield Advantage", yet I see several opposing team's fans sitting with me in the BullPen, which was designed for the "rowdy" Texans Fans. I know that the Texans can't control private ticket sales, but they could deny brokers & ticketmaster access to this section. I know of several die-hard fans who wish to sit in this section, and when I see the other team's fans in this section with me, it's very upsetting. The 2 seats behind me are filled with opposing fans almost every game - who bought their tickets off eBay.

Perhaps a dress code could be enforced to help alleviate this situation? No fan may enter the BullPen unless they are dressed in Texans attire. I'm sure one of the many sponsors would even donate some "Homefield Advantage" shirts for those fans that arrived inappropriately.

Hey Chick..help me remember but didn't the Texans give everyone a oppurtunity to purchase those seats in the beginning. As a PSL owner do you feel that you got your moneys worth the first five years. I can't blame anyone that made a investment in this team to try to recoup some of their money from fans that wanted to wait and see what kind of team we had.

My comments from the survey:

its just to late......all those psls have been sold long ago. I really don't thing Mr. Mcnair cares how hard u guys cry about this. If its that hard to take..sell your seats...in a city this large i doubt you have any problems selling them. I bet most bullpen fans would trade seats in a heartbeat for say section 107..lol. I think what has happened is that the bullpen fans kind of bonded as a group. that does not give them the right to dictate who should be allowed to sit in a section. I hope you guys never get your way because if the other teams follow this crazy line of thinking.....there goes my road games.

Tell me about it...the PSL holder to my left was wearing a brand new #10 Titans jersey to the game. I thought he was gonna cry when VY didn't play.
