Wow. So losing to TWO service academies in one year hasn't happened since the 1950's.

Just kind of wondering how much of pass Weiss gets and how short of a leash? Also....maybe it shows Ty Willingham didn't do such a bad job recruiting.

I dont think he should get a pass, I don't really see anything that he has done. 1-9 is atrocious and he should probably be fired.

According the Golic this morning Air Force beat on them pretty good when he was there, I think he said 3 out 4 when he was there and the next three after that. I was a little shocked to hear that.

after going to two straight BCS games, he's not getting fired any time soon. especially since they lost so many starters after last season. and the upcoming recruiting class is #1 on Rivals right now. Weiss knows how to recruit.

Actually look at the recruiting classes Ty brought in compared to last years class, Charlies first full season it was ,depending on the source, anywhere from 9 to 11. If Notre Dame gets all the verbals signed this year it will be ranked number one. Ty was bringing in classes ranked in the bottom part of the top 25. Even with the academic standards at Notre Dame that is unacceptable.

One thing Charlie did do wrong is he did not play a lot of the younger players the last two years and now he is paying for that mistake.

He is catching some heat but nothing more so than any other program that hits a stumble. Not fire him now heat but more so about some of the assistants and system he runs and some of his go for broke play calling. Now if he has another season like this year then he would catch some heat.

The issue with Ty was he did not put in the hours like Charlie does and he thought recruiting was more so on assistants than himself. At least that was the perception, and if you get a certain perception real or not it could doom you as it did Ty.

yeah they'll be back. They'll waltz through Texas once agian and nab two or three off the top one hundred list. I don't mind the Texas kids going to LSU or Oklahoma, Missouri ect...But fricken ND and Michigan it just kill me. I hope the Cy Fair kid breaks his leg walking off the air plane on his way to Ann Arbor this fall. Fricken Traitor.

I don't mind the Texas kids going to LSU or Oklahoma, Missouri ect...But fricken ND and Michigan it just kill me. I hope the Cy Fair kid breaks his leg walking off the air plane on his way to Ann Arbor this fall. Fricken Traitor.

Yes you would rather a kid stay in state, oh but LSU, OK and Missouri is ok but nothing else or you wish he would have a horrific injury, that is so nice of you. I mean to hell with a kid going to ND for a great education, or going to Michigan because he would not be buried on the depth chart and he wants playing time so he has a chance of making it into the NFL.

Yes everyone knows I like Notre Dame and I do not like nor want certain kids to go to a school that are ND's rivals but I will not wish them ill will, but more I wish them success except when they play ND. I also wish them success in the classroom and that education is just as important, if not more so, as sports.

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you mentlly to wish a kid ill will because he did not goto a southeren school? I am surprised you did not wish them to get hit by a bus if they went to Harvard or Yale.

Yeah well tax the curches. Gonna to enoy the Katy game next week. It's one thingy if the kid has the smarts to get into the Stanfords of the world. It's quite another if the NDs of the world cherry pick off the top one hundred of the state. Theu are not going to get any better educated at ND or Michigan than they would at A & M or Texas Tech or LSU. Just an ego thingy. What I think about as far as the cathopic church is why they have people who can pay to get their childern into a private schooll and be included with in a public school division. Explain that one to me. In other words the public schools must abide by attendance zone and rules of residency and the Catholic schools do not. So the rules are for everyone except the catholic schools. If they have the money they can truck just about anyone they want to into their schools attendanec zones.

But what I most think about, especailly when the new Cardinal exposes his politcal veiws on illegal immagration, is how the catholic church baically brutlized , er genocided, a whole group of native american indians to convert them and steal thier gold. My I use the term tourtured ? Then the big he bull sinks all of that cash into the mightest armada the world has ever known only to see it get sunk into the bottom of the english channel by a group of junk ships. Too funny. Lastly I think about how these same people who have been sitting ontop of Mexico for six hunderd years and their solution after all of that time to the poverty and deprvation their is to shovel their extrament of failure onto the american tax payers backs. Yeah I think a lot about the catholic church. They can't be down deep enought to suit me. Tax the churches.

This is one of the dumbest things I've read in a while. Why is the guy a traitor if he chooses a school that's not around Texas? Are high school football players all supposed to have the mindset that if they're really good, they should only help teams in the south?
