David Carr

The CFL or Arena Football. Maybe a backup in Tennesse? Wouldn't that make that fat S.O.B. smile

You can rip on My Hero all you want... but the man has a point. For five years the Front Office did so little to help his line and give him weapons... it's almost ironically fitting.

And moreover, how is someone criticizing our teams' lack of motivation to get better make him not a fan... yet turning on the face of franchise and throwing him under the bus for things out of his control makes you a true fan?

I won't call anyone here not a Texans fan... if we're here we're all fans. We all want to see this team succeed... but if you're gonna bash someone for supporting one of our players, then feel free to "piss off," as you'd say.

The FO showed there hand waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to early! So mush so that the only value left in Carr was to take a cap it. What makes us so sure that that Schaub will be any better of an option in the same system. I feel sad that Carr is basically being run out of town.

This situation just feels wrong to me.

Wrong.

Carr was suppossed to be the focal point of the entire offense and make everyone better, not the other way around.

That's why he was paid $35 million and the very first draft pick of the Texans.

All this Carr hand wringning is like the CEO of a company blaming his controller for the failed business.

Carr's job was to carry the load, plain and simple. He never was up to that, but was sure up to cashing the checks!

Its amazing to me that people claim Carr is the sole reason for the Texans' faults during his career here, then complain when other teams dont give up a 2nd round pick for him. Really, wth?

No matter how you feel about it, he is not a Texan anymore.

Yeah buddy Whatever you say! No fault lies with David lmao.
I love how everyone blames the FO . :wheel:

I suppose it's also his fault he didn't block for himself? It's kind of hard to carry a load if you aren't on your feet. People seem to forget that Carr had enough potential upside to be a #1 draft pick. The events over the past few years did very little to contribute to that potential (football is a team game ya know). Carr is not (and never has been) without flaw(s), but in fairness - he was never put in the right environment on this team.

I cannot believe the number of ways the FO has screwed this team's initial few years. The pattern continues with not getting anything for a former #1 overall pick. You want proof of a lousy FO? Look how excited people are over Schaub. I rest my case. When people talk about this young franchise "rebuilding", my only question is when was it built? I think I missed something. I'd take a committe of 10 random members of this board and assemble a superior FO who could build a team to be proud of. While that's a compliment to the knowledge level on this board, it's a sad sign of the true state of affairs that has become the Texans FO.

The beating this man has taken here is reason alone to cash his checks, the failure(s) of this FO have nothing to do with his professionalism. Frankly, I don't understand this kind of comment.

Signed,

35 million dollars.

That was his salary, the organization got nothing for him in trade. The reason that I consider that fair is the fact that they have never given him anything better than sub-par protection. Pay attention Schaub may or may not have a chance behind our improved line this year Jordan Black being a solid addition. Unfortunatly that is a chance Carr never had the opportunity to have. ^^^^Don't talk about his contracted salary. ^^^^^^^^ Talk about the fact that the franchise didn't get anything because they essentially froze him out starting at about week 11.

David should have never been the 1st pick IMHO. Some blame has to lie with the players. Yes we could have giving him a better OL but HE should have giving us better QB play as well. But it's all in the past now and I have just one more thing to say..................................:texan:

Right now, we just have to wait and see what happens next season w/ the team.

I wish Carr well. He's a class act and I think he will have succes w/ another team - and be like other former Texans that have gone on to the playoffs :-) - it could happen.
