I like the last one best because you have us picking Okoye 1st. I guess I could live with the other picks, but this is how I would do it if I were the one picking:

1) Okoye, DT, I would love this pick!
2) Staley/Ugoh/Kalil, OL, I would think at least one of these 3 would be there in the 2nd.
3) Stanton/Kolb, QB, I think Kubes likes either one, and if we are going to pick a QB, I hope it's one of these two.
4) Coe/Bain, CB, or Tanard Jackson, FS, Hopefully one of them is there.
5) Black/Simpson, OLB, Black is moving up fast and may not be there.
6) Sepulveda, P, Hope is there in the 6th. I really think he would solve our punting problems!
7) Rabb, WR, Don't know how good he is, but he played at Boise St. Remember, they beat Oklahoma in that wild bowl game!

If the draft went down this way (I know, it's a very slim chance), I would be overjoyed. I think this fills alot of holes, not all, but alot. JMHO!

we have to address the WR position before the LB position, and with black signed, OL isnt a 2nd round need anymore unless Kalil falls, which he wont. GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEADS EVERYBODY!! KALIL IS GONE! and with stanley signed, i see no reason why we would pick sepulveda

to mock this years picks is near impossible, will be fluid all the way thru draft day. who knows the bpa?

Texans needs- DE, FS, OL, WR, CB, QB, DT

if the Texans take the bpa w/ea. pick addressing ea./need would everyone be happy
:)

Hey, I'm just giving you what I would be happy with. You don't have to get all bent out of shape :monkey: about it. It's just an opinion. Ooooh kkkkay? :tease:

But seriously, do think Jordan Black is the answer to our LT problem? If you do, then you need to check out what the KC fans have to say on their MB about Black (a.k.a. I-65). It ain't good. Now I'm not saying to throw him under the bus or anything, but I don't really see him as our answer to LT. He may be a good backup, like Salaam, and I think he was signed as an "insurance policy" in case Spencer can't come back right away or he can't play LT ever again. But, I really hope, if Staley or Ugoh are there in the 2nd round, that we would take one of them and make him our "franchise" LT.

As far as Kalil goes, well, he probably will be gone, but if by some chance he is there, take him! It's that simple!

I agree we could probably go WR before LB since we signed Danny Clark. So you could take McKnight, Ball, or Filani in the 5th and then maybe take Antwan Barnes out of Fla. International in the 7th. He could be a real "sleeper." Good size and speed.

Now the last issue. If you are happy with Chad that's ok, but I'll tell you this, you are in the minority. And if we were lucky enough to get Sepulveda in the 6th, it would be a steal!

Anyway, these are my opinions on what we should (but probably won't) do to improve the team. Sorry they don't match up with yours, but you know what they say about opinions? :shades:

im not happy with stanley, but the fact that we signed him probably means we arent going to use a draft pick on a punter/kicker or whatever. as far as black goes, i know he isnt a starter or going to stand out as a premiere tackle, but we do have spencer coming back, and he may be as good as he was last year, so i dont think OT is a 2nd round NEED right now. we have more holes, especially in the secondary than at OL right now.

nice looking draft. but if anything, we should be drafting heavily on the offensive side of the ball. we need explosive playmakers and offensive line help.

OL may not be a NEED, but we sure do need to bolster it a lot. We have to add some youthful depth. Ugoh or Kalil would in the 2nd this year would bode well for us in the future. As long as we keep ignoring the OL, it's always gonna be a problem. We need to just fix it once and for all. I'd prefer Blalock in the 2nd round. We have ZERO depth at guard, and that smells like trouble down the road if we don't correct that.

Heres a mock I would like to see happen.. ( feel free to tear it apart )

RD1 Laron Landry S LSU

RD2 Anthony Gonzalez WR Ohio ST.

RD3 Tarell Brown CB TEXAS

RD4 Prescott Burgess OLB Michigan

RD5 Dan Bazuin DE Cent. Mich.

RD6 Jared Zabransky QB Boise St.

RD7 Danny Ware RB Georgia

I'm asumming that everyone is prety sure that Kalil has worked himself into the first round now that he doesn't appear in anyones list ?

Like a bit of all of your thoughts. I don't think there is a dimes bit a difference in QBs 3 -8 . Pick one. The later the better.

If we go Landry...I'd be just as happy at taking a DE or the pick of the litter at CB there, than a reach at OT.
Liked the taregting of the fifth round pick on h-towns. Kind of a hell Mary, but doing the same thing at greater risk with the other OLT prospects.

Micheal Bush seems to have dropped off everyones radar also. Intersting.

My Mr illrevelant (7th round pick) has his pro day this week . Grand Valley St. is March the 12th. Micheal McFaddin, really impressed me durring thier paly off run.

Always looking for the next Robert Brazzille. If they can stand him up make a heck of a Sam. This guy looks like he was born to be a NFL Sam.

There are a few problems with this one. Brown is a good CB except he has a lot of off-the-field issues with firearms and drugs. The Texans do not take players like him. Zabransky is NOT going to be a Texan. We are NOT waiting till the 6th round to draft a player who won't develop for another 3 years. I prefer Kolb in the 3rd and Bannister (CB) in the 4th or 5th. As for Ware, I think we should wait until next year to draft a RB because we just signed Ahman Green. We should take Justin Medlock or Mason Crosby if available

Got my oranged collored glasses on, but I actually liked the Brown pick where it was made. He won't make the forth round. He starts as a nickle, and if you have Leron on board, in threory, you're getting good value with the pick. I think he has the potential, under the right DB coach, to be the best out of the UT bunch in the pile this year. JMHO.

I guess he could be a "Sam" in a 4-3 defense, but he sounds more like a Babin/Peek type that may end up playing OLB in a 3-4 defense. What kind of speed does he have?

Dream scenario:

Trade back with Carolina and pick up an extra 3rd and 5th

1) Reggie Nelson, FS
2) Aaron Ross, CB
3)Jason Hill, WR
3) Kevin Kolb, QB
4) Samson Satele, C
5) Josh Beekman, G
5) Tim Crowder, DE
6) Mason Crosby, K
7) Ramonce Taylor, RB/WR
