lots of interesting developments in the last week, as expected this time of the year.

i think the most important pick in the first round is cleveland. who they choose changes a lot of things, sets up a lot of trade possibilities.

1. Oakland - Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech
2. Detroit - Joe Thomas, T, Wisconsin
3. Cleveland - JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU
4. Tampa Bay - Amobi Okoye, DT, Louisville
5. Arizona - Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson
6. Washington - Alan Branch, DT, Michigan
7. Minnesota - Jamaal Anderson, DE, Anderson
8. Houston - Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma
9. Miami - Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame
10. Atlanta - LaRon Landry, S, LSU
11. San Francisco - Leon Hall, CB, Michigan
12. Buffalo - Levi Brown, T, Penn State
13. St. Louis - Adam Carriker, DE, Nebraska
14. Carolina - Patrick Willis, LB, Ole Miss
15. Pittsburgh - Chris Houston, CB, Arkansas
16. Green Bay - Marshawn Lynch, RB, Cal
17. Jacksonville - Ted Ginn, Jr, WR, Ohio State
18. Cincinnati - Reggie Nelson, S, Florida
19. Tennessee - Robert Meachem, WR, Tennessee
20. New York Giants - Darrelle Revis, CB, Pittsburgh
21. Denver - Jarvis Moss, DE, Florida
22. Dallas - Brandon Merriwether, S, Miami (FL)
23. Kansas City - Dwayne Jarret, WR, USC
24. New England (from Seattle) - Marcus McCauley, CB, Fresno State
25. New York Jets - Tony Hunt, RB, Penn State
26. Philadelphia - Paul Posluszny, LB, Penn State
27. New Orleans - Greg Olsen, TE, Miami (FL)
28. New England - Steve Smith, WR, USC

31. Chicago - Arron Sears, T, Tennessee
32. Indianapolis - Jon Beason, WR, Miami (FL)

I like the Calvin johnson, pick with the talk of Moss to Green Bay. Best player by far in my opinion in this draft. This draft looks like a real possibility barring any movement among the top 8.

Branch to Skins is the only thing a little surprising.

Calvin Johnson is so good, he can throw the ball to himself apparently. Get serious.

ooh that's right they should pass on the best player ever at his position to draft a very mediocre QB prospect in jamarcus russell because they have a bigger immediate need at that position, because of course when you draft, it's only for one year. right? yeah.

If they sign Garcia, you might be on to something. If not, then you're smoking crack. Johnson is just this years version of the best ever. Get real. Unless he can block and throw the ball to himself, Calvin Johnson won't be the best of anything except running around on the field and waving his hands. Calling Russell medicore is just as ridicoulous as calling C Johnson the best ever. You need a reality check.

okie dokie.

I like it as a non-trade mock and I like the result for the Texans.

But, I think there will be 2-3 deals ahead of us. The top 4 is always exciting and there could be a deal or two there.

But, the teams picking after the top 4 would be better served by trading down (or up) and will probably try to do so.

5. AZ - If there is anyway they can get Thomas, they should deal up. Otherwise, they are happy with a stud DE. OR, if they get a decent offer, they will move down in a heartbeat.

6. Wash - Traded away their 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounders I think. They have a lot of holes and dealing down would help them a lot. Plus, this spot pops up right before the QB-lousy teams (minn/hou/miami).

7. Minn - I think they go QB if one is there. If not, they will be listening and GB could offer #16 and picks (maybe a 3rd this year and next or just a 2nd). Minn would still be sitting pretty at 16 where they could great value if Ginn was still there or take Meachum if he is gone.

8. Texans - If the top QBs and AP are gone and they don't deal - probably best DE, JAnderson or Adams.
