I for one hope it is correct thru pick 7 as I think AP will be a solid player for Htown!

u say miami will pass on him?

They just took Ronnie Brown in the first a couple years ago as their franchise back. I think it'd be a total waste of a pick for them, considereing they have other holes that need more attention.

OK andre name the five offensive tackles who have been bust for this organization ? .... How long have we been in the league...so far we're batting below .ooo if you count Charels Spencer's injury. I'd say that there thing is a need. Levi Brown Plugs a five year old hole. It isn't pretty but it works. You build a franchise from the inside out. We've never done this.

im disagreeing with not taking him....i dont think we should unless we know 100 percent domanick wont return.....i just dont see him falling to green bay.....jmo.....my mock goes as is....1st round levi brown.....2nd round brandon merriweather....3rd round kolb, manierez,or gonzalez if there.....

Adrian may very well only show up for the weigh in and interviews at the Combine. I'd love to see him workout but we may have to wait for his pro day.

And that would be accepting very , very bad advise from some one. He needs to be there. He needs to be there with atitude and athority, and a can do air about him. He needs to work his butt off in Indy. He's a guy who will loose millions if he doesn't show up. Our guys passed on Reggie the "Water Walker" Bush. If the injury whispers heat up because he's not particapating...he's going to drop like a rock. They ain't going to bat an eyelash watching this guy fall past them at the eight. He gets by eight, he's going to free fall. He needs to work out.

Him not working out would have nothing at all to do with any injury concerns, it would have to do with the fact that he is one of the top prospects in this draft and would prefer to work out in familiar surroundings at his pro day rather than in Indy. I always prefer to see everyone work out at Indy so you have some basis for comparison as everyone is running/working out on the same surface in the same conditions, etc. but if he doesn't work out in Indy it won't matter much if at all on his draft status unless he bombs his pro day workout (like Lendale White last year).

AP's injury concerns will be highly scrutinized in Indy. The Drs will check to see if his freshman shoulder injury/surgery was done correctly. They will checkout his soph ankle sprain to make sure there is good blood flow and no deterioration or arthtitis. They will check to make sure his junior injury, a broken collar bone has healed correctly and check the joints for any looseness....with all these concerns it would be in his best interest to perform in Indy and at his pro day. If he is happy with Indy then stand on it.

He would go thru whatever medical testing they have for him at Indy too, just not sure if he will work out or not, I tend to doubt that he will. However, as you said it makes all the sense in the world for him (and any other prospect) to work out at the Combine. They get a chance to show what the can do compared to everyone else at their position in equal conditions and with just about every NFL operations employee in the league there watching, plus if they screw up at Combine then they get a 2nd chance to correct things at their pro day (AJ Hawk didn't have as good of a Combine as many people expected last year and some people immediately afterward were saying Chad Greenway may have passed him up, then Hawk had a superb pro day workout. However, if players skip the Combine workout then flop at their pro day they are screwed (see Lendale White). The one position I can understand would be QBs so they can throw to the WRs they are used to rather than guys they just met, but at the same time all of them have to perform under those conditions. Some of the top guys every year just feel they have nothing to gain by working out at the Combine and would prefer to do it in familiar settings at their college campus.

He has to if he wants to put the injury stuff to rest. He avoids it...he won't be a top five pick. I mean if you're afraid to work out in shorts isn't the logical NFL answer WHY? And if you're All Day do you want other people answering that for you ? What's the difference in millions between the #3 and the # 8 ? No if he wants top five money...he'll work out. Good enough for Brown and Cadilack outta be good enough for All Day. He turns his nose up at the combine, he's going to drop.

I think that for a running back, the combine reveals next to nothing. We know he has break away speed and can break tackles. I dont need to see how high he can jump or how many times he can lift 225 lbs to know he is a very good running back, nor does an unwillingness to run a 40 yard dash say anything about injury conerns.

Not necessarily. I sincerely hope he works out so we can see what he does, but every year there are several guys that don't work out at the Combine for one reason or another. Last year, 1st round picks Reggie Bush, Vince Young, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Matt Leinart, Bobby Carpenter, Tamba Hali, Laurence Maroney, Santonio Holmes, and DeAngelo Williams didn't work out at the Combine, along with high 2nd rounders like Jimmy Williams, Winston Justice, Roman Harper, and LenDale White, so it happens every year and many of those guys don't appear to really have their draft status affected by it. I wish they'd all work out and I'm sure all the NFL people and fans wish they'd all work out together, but it inevitably doesn't happen. People won't question Peterson's collar bone injury if he doesn't perform a workout there, he already played in a bowl game since his injury and he would still perform whatever medical tests they have there to show that his injuries have or haven't healed, and he will conduct interviews etc, so from that standpoint his workout isn't overly vital, but is would still be nice to see what he can do on the field in front of a stopwatch.

Agreed, all the workout shows is his measurable physical traits vs. his competition at the RB position. To this point he is regarded as the best RB prospect in this draft based on 3 years of his work in collegiate games, which is the most important aspect of prospect evaluation, so he doesn't have a whole lot to lose by not working out. I hope he does work out but it's not an overly big deal to me if he doesn't.

there is no injury stuff for peterson right now. he put all that to rest by playing in the fiesta bowl. if he didn't, then he'd definitely have to go to the combine.

so, who's mock is this exactly?
