Drew Bledsoe, the statue? NO!

No thanks. Bledsoe is done as a starting QB. Dallas's line is similar to ours, and Bledsoe struggled mightily behind it. In fact, he looked a lot like Carr--bad decisions, costly interceptions, little playmaking, too many sacks, etc.

Seeing how Romo has performed behind the same line that Bledsoe had and the much improved results he was able to deliver is one of the reasons I am convinced that replacing Carr would help the Texans. Yes, having a bad line is hard for a QB, but a good QB can make his line look better, as Romo and Leinert have both done and Carr has not.

Drew would not at all be an upgrade over Carr. Bledsoe would make a good backup, but he's made it clear he either wants to be a starter or he's going to retire.

This poster's last name has gotta be Bledsoe. Regular fans don't do this kind of research.

Okay now your just looking for a QB because you don't want Carr.

I am beginning to think that people just don't want Carr. They could careless what happens to the team.

Dallas' line is weak, but our line still aspires to that level of competence. Seriously, I've paid attention to both lines throughout the season and theirs forms a better pocket for the QB, they have better spacing, and they run block better. And they did all this while Bledsoe was at QB.

As for the main point, yeah ... Bledsoe would get killed here.

Terrific first post! :joker:

Carr could have a broken leg and move faster than Bledsoe. Why bring Bledsoe here? He has always sucked, he has never been good. Patriots, when he started winning...wasn't because of him, it was because of that team, same with bills, except they were never good with him, and cowboys... wow, Romo is decent and looks like a pro bowler with the same team bledsoe struggled with.

Having an immobile, not even very good quarterback to replace Carr?

if you support bledsoe coming here... you seriously need to stop being biased on carr, and start looking at the big picture.

I don't support Carr, but I think we should have him because in the draft (at our picking position) and in the nfl as a free agent right now, there is no one who is an upgrade from Carr.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble there, guy. But Bledsoe stated at the beginninig of the year (before there was even a hint he would be benched) that he would not play for another team if his contract were not renewed. He said he wanted to retire a Cowboy.

Take it for what it's worth...but I think he's a pretty trustworthy guy.

Drew shouldn't you be focused on Seattle right about now??? If Romo gets hurt, you may have to go in the game.

Without having read any but the first posts on this thread.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

(Then again, would it really matter? He'd be on IR by the 2nd game anyway. :shades: )

Being a H-Town transplant 13 years ago and growing up as a Cowboy fan..I still watch them intently and with that said I'd say

No Way in %^&*

You think Carr has trouble...the statue would get 10 sacks a game.

I'm probably one of the biggest Carr haters on the site, and even I think this is a ludacris idea. He has absolutely no mobility at all.

im all for getting rid of carr but not for bledsoe. the guy is about done, he needs to be on a team with alot of talent around him to hide the things he cant do anymore

While you're calling up Dallas Cowboy retread QB's why not follow up with:

Drew Henson
Jason Garrett
Ryan Leaf
Quincy Carter

I'm sure those guys are available.

how about not bringing in a guy whose main problems are worse than the candidate we already have? Bledsoe holds onto the ball even longer than david does, drew stares down his recievers more than carr and gets sacked more often than not. Drew has less sacks than carr does only because he keeps losing his starting roles to other qbs. There is a reason why the rest of the league calls him Bledslow and Bumbles.
