Going to be cold in Buffalo, of course - in the 20ºs.

Going to be brutally cold in Kansas City - single digits, possibly negative numbers.

Right. Weather effecting all of the outdoor games.
KC is supposed to be in the low single digits and dropping with wind chills in the minus 20-30 range.
75% chance of snow in Buffalo with temps in the mid 20's.
And then rain in Tampa.

An under parlay might be the way to go in those games.

I almost feel sorry for those boys from Miami: Nah, that's BS - go Chiefs !

Dude, we need Fins and Steelers wins to get another home game. Go Dolphins.

Running games may be the deciding factor in both winter cold games. I like the Dolphins if it comes to running and stopping the run. Steelers and the Bills would be a much tougher call, but the Steelers have gotten some decent run production lately. Watt being out probably doesn’t help in slowing down the Bills running game. Toss up in this game, but if I had to pick….Buffalo loses this game b/c of Josh Allen’s ability to turn the ball over.

The positive is that both road playoff teams are playing in a stadium. Weather will be a factor for both teams. As we’ve seen before, the “best” team doesn’t always win in bad weather games. Sometimes the ball just doesn’t bounce your way.

Which raises a fair question, given that the NFL is so concerned about health and safety. Are there weather conditions where it’s unsafe? Is there a minimum temperature below which a game won’t be played. There should be. And, frankly, if there’s ever a game played that results in multiple cases of severe frostbite for fans, players, anyone, there will be.

Edit: I’m fully aware of cold weather games in the past. I’m old enough to remember Bart Starr sneaking into the end zone against the Cowboys in 67. Remember it like it was yesterday. There were 13 seconds left on the clock. It was also 13 degrees below zero. And I remember reading later about all the cases of frostbite.

Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Lightning, heavy smoke.

Update:

Kinda weird. According to the forecast, Pitt @ Buffalo moving to Monday is actually going to be a little colder (teens) but with less wind and snow. Still 50% chance of snow....

Mahomes put his head down running for the end zone. Took a big helmet to helmet hit as he was tackled. Cracked his helmet ⛑️ a big chunk of it could be seen falling to the ground.

They let him take the next snap. Then they stopped the clock & let him change his helmet without having to take a time out.

His new helmet is too small. Looks uncomfortable.

and for all the bitching they do about calls, they caught a big break there that you’ll likely not here a peep from their asses. He should’ve been taken out while he got his equipment change. Instead the refs stopped the clock, let him get his equipment change and still stay on the field…

Their defense is fierce. Not like past Chiefs.

I don’t think so. they’re still the same front running defense, the only difference now is that the offense isnt really as good as years past to cover up their deficiencies by putting so much pressure on the opposing offense to keep up with them.. Any time they’ve played a team with a decent offense, they’ve not been that good…so games are closer later & really can go either way.

I guess we should all be hoping for a (7)Steelers upset over the Bills.

DIVISIONAL ROUND
(7) Steelers at (1) Ravens / Forecast: SAT- Cloudy w/ Wind Advisory -2 to -6 / SUN- Sunny 0 to -4
(4) TEXANS at (3) Chiefs / Forecast: SAT- Partly Sunny -9 to -13 / SUN- Partly Sunny -1 to -2

On the other hand, a Bills win sends the Texans to Sunday game in better weather. It could depend on which conference gets the early game.
(4) TEXANS at (1) Ravens
(3) Chiefs at (2) Bills / Forecast: SAT- Cloudy -9 to -9 / SUN- Partly Sunny -4 to -4

Asked a question over on my thread in the team section, but how do you all feel about the Cowboys? Hate em, don't mind em, etc

I love element games.

No need to change a thing.

We have to beat the Ravens at some point. Might as well be next week. No team scares me right now because Stroud can compete with the best QB's in this game.

Yeeeaaaahhhhh, here we goooooo…Dakota chunks the pic..if they lose this game, the meltdown over on cowboys zone is gonna be legendarily hilarious. It’s only the 1st qtr now and there are already doomers flooding the game thread:littlelol::littlelol:
Weird seeing Dakota (Dak), so I had to look up his full name - Rayne Dakota Prescott
