Hey all, I thought I'd start a thread about who you feel is the most disappointing Texans so far in the 2022-23 season. Thinking this over, there aren't as many candidates on the list as I originally thought, since expectations were already low for Texans team in rebuild mode.
While Davis Mills will probably receive his share of votes, I'm going with Jonathan Greenard. To date, his stats aren't horrible (1.5 sacks, 9 combined tackles, 5 TFL, 3 QB hits, 0 PDs/FF), but I was hoping he would build off last season's performance and have more impact in the pass rush. Like Mills, was hoping he would take it to the next level and become more of a force on the edge. That hasn't happened though, and quite frankly Greenard has looked invisible for long stretches of play.
I guess Greenard is who he is: a useful OLB/DE type who deserves a place on the team and can make plays. But it doesn't look like he'll be an impact player or particularly good edge rusher, and I guess that's what I was hoping for. Perhaps I was expecting too much.
