Over 50% of first round picks are busts anyway so it may not be an issue. To bring it back on topic look at the QBs taken first round last year vs Mills. With the exception of Jones he’s beating all of them and nobody is asking if, for example, Lawrence deserves to be the starter. I still think people can’t get past him being drafted in the 3rd round with our first pick. He hasn’t made any worst mistakes than any other rookie QB and when you factor in everything, he’s actually doing really well.
Yet for some reason people still want to ride on the QB merry go round, even though they claim they don’t, and spend money and possibly draft capital to bring in career backup to compete for the job and maybe get 2 extra wins next year.
That’s sounds like so much fun.
