From a short video that I found, once supinated his plant foot while pushing off. Not a great view, a lateral ankle sprain occurs. However, since sources are insistent that it is a foot injury, it has been proposed that he may be dealing with a sesamoid bone fracture of the foot.@CloakNNNdagger what can you share about Carson Wentz’s foot injury?
Is that consistent with possibly “playing through it” like it’s being reported Wentz is considering? However, since sources are insistent that it is a foot injury, it has been proposed that he may be dealing with a sesamoid bone fracture of the foot.
Not unless they're removing the sesamoid bone instead of repairing it. This would be unusual without prior conservative treatment. Although this is the NFL and all things are possible. Not necessarily smart. I have a very strong suspicion that he has been dealing with sesamoid problem for quite a while. Looking at some of his film from last year, he would supinate his plant foot on push off, something commonly seen with pain under the great toe area where the sesamoid bones reside..... And something that is commonly seen in compensatory injuries to the back and hip which he had been dealing with.Is that consistent with possibly “playing through it” like it’s being reported Wentz is considering?

Breaking: Colts Announce Major Carson Wentz Injury News (msn.com).
Just to clarify my feelings re. if it is a sesamoid excision that is being considered, my experience has been at least a 3-4 month recovery, and playing through it (with or without surgery) would not be a reasonable consideration. You would essentially need to keep the area numbed up to control the pain during play, which would introduce its own set of potential problems.
My latest surprises were the name changes for two stadiums. I was looking for game ticket prices and first called the stadium in Glendale, University of Phoenix to find out it is State Farm. Today, I was looking up tickets at the Super Dome and thought huh, Caesar’s! I didn't think too much about the change to NRG, but now the number of changes is getting my attention.

I watched through three quarters. Mostly for the HOF commentary. The game, was like any other non-Texan game I watch. Entertaining, but I don't really care who wins or loses.Watched the 1st quarter of Cowboys/Steelers, and though it's great to have football back, that quarter of football was boring AF. Didn't watch another snap after the 1st.
I like the preseason. Always have. Never felt ripped off.Even though you're at home watching on TV where it's costing you nothing, pre-season football is still a ripoff.

Different strokes.
I was going to say the same thing. But I know people who liked going just for the tailgating & the experience in the stands.Do you have season tickets?
The 4th preseason game was a real ripoff.

My reason for going or watching also is to see the final cuts. Sometimes that game is pretty revealing on cuts that some players looked pretty good early on.We usually had a pretty good afternoon tailgate. And you got to watch the guys fighting for the last spots. Like I said, different people like different things.

I never had a problem giving those tickets away. Just couldn’t get anyone to pay for them.
Preseason NFL ball is about the only NFL games I don't watch if they are on my TV, except I do watch the Texans preseason and I'm excited about next Saturday when we get our first opportunity to see the Culley Juggernaut !I like the preseason. Always have. Never felt ripped off.

I enjoyed watching these preseason games as it gives me eyes on players that I am interested in. This year was so many new players it will be even more helpful.Preseason NFL ball is about the only NFL games I don't watch if they are on my TV, except I do watch the Texans preseason and I'm excited about next Saturday when we get our first opportunity to see the Culley Juggernaut !
Season ticket holders are locked in because the total cost of the ST is divided by 10. Most others interested in a game day experience on the cheap can probably pick up one of those tickets for $25 or so which won’t be available at that price during the regular season. That hurts the ST holder because nobody is going to pay face value for the preseason game.Never understood why people would be willing to pay money to watch practice games.

A couple of years ago Cowboys total season ticket prices remained the same, but they lowered the preseason cost and increased the regular season cost. For sales purpose the ouch isn’t as bad of a loss on the preseason, and the increase in the regular doesn’t feel that bad either.
At this juncture being a season ticket holder is plain silly. If you want to go to a game buy your tickets from Stub Hub. You'll get better seats than you would being a season ticket holder.Yeah, season ticket holders don't have a choice. It's just another way for the NFL to squeeze every last dollar they can out of the fan.
True, but many are stuck with that PSL obligation. At this juncture being a season ticket holder is plain silly. If you want to go to a game buy your tickets from Stub Hub. You'll get better seats than you would being a season ticket holder.
Many have ditched their PSL obligation. Texans had a waiting list for season tickets over 26,000 less than a year ago. Today there is no waiting list.True, but many are stuck with that PSL obligation.
True about getting better seats, but man, you take it in the shorts with the inflated prices and service fees, etc.At this juncture being a season ticket holder is plain silly. While this is true and much more common for winning successful teams, today it is very hard for Texans tickets to command a high premium. When factor in you're not buying tickets to preseason games and games you have no interest in attending you are way ahead of the game in dollars spent.True about getting better seats, but man, you take it in the shorts with the inflated prices and service fees, etc.
Not arguing. While this is true and much more common for winning successful teams, today it is very hard for Texans tickets to command a high premium. We sure in the heck do in the highest dang tickets in the NFL secondary market. I have seen tickets for games in the Super Dome selling for $250 in nose bleed for the Cowboys and less than $80 the next week for a Jaguar ticket with the same record. That’s the most depressing thing about traveling. Not arguing.
This year the only fan base I’d get to screw over is the Patriots. None of the other home games are real big draws.
most years I can make my money back with the Steelers, Packers, Browns (yes, they ain’t good all the time but their fan base will pay) and when the Arlingtons play at NRG, you can bet those foos will pay top dollar to watch their 8-8 (soon to be 8-9) team.
And the Bills want a new stadium. Same ole equation: Billionaires (NFL Owners) make more money + Millionaires (NFL Players) make more money = NFL fans spend more money

I've even gone as far as fast forwarding through commercials so they're wasting those advertising dollars as well. The last actual money I spent on the Texans was a hat three or four years ago. Not a cent since.
The people of Buffalo don't deserve to lose their team! They have supported their team through a lot of s***** seasons and there is no way they should be without them, especially when they finally have a team worth supporting once again! I doubt Buffalo will leave despite all the BS said in regards to them leaving!Josh Allen has earned that payday. Buffalo has been in no-man’s land since the Kelly era and Allen has really helped make that team relevant again……now if they would relocate to Texas.
