BILL O'BRIEN FIRED

This should have been done years ago. Obrien has traded away great players and draft picks in his panic mode to save his own job. He leaves behind a depleted team headed in the wrong direction that will be much better off without him. This could have been avoided if he had been fired when he should have, but there were so many that kept defending him, that seemingly couldn't see what was going on. Amazing how winning a bad division, being better than 3 teams in a 32 team league can impress some.

If the McNairs are in absolute fear of O'Brien wrath as you say Why in the world would they risk it by firing him at the bye?
It is my opinion that Janice McNair is solidly and 100% in control Of this business venture. Few of us on this board Had any expectation of the Texans winning the first two games and then after those losses even fewer expected a win against Pittsburgh. I doubt she is anywhere near upset as most of us are.
I told you she was in charge but more upset than I heard.

I vowed not to care or post until buttchin was fired after trading Nuuk. The McNairs let this moron waste JJ's career, stunt Deshaun's growth and set this franchise back 3-5 years with his boneheaded moves. Better late than never. Now if some hope. The first thing we need to is hire a GM. Wish Texian would post the list of up and coming personnel executives ready to make the jump. Eliot Wolf is one that I remember he posted and is still available. TexansFight plan of action:

1. Hire Eliot Wolf as GM right now
2. Name Lincoln Riley, Joe Brady and Eric Bienemy as the targets and do whatever you have to do get them.
3. Interview all 3. Joe Brady and Bienemy can be interviewed now and can jump to a head coaching position this season with the new rules the NFL adopted.
My pitch is for Greg Roman.

Wow, I felt that game was a bridge too far, absolutely hopeless and with OBrien scapegoating his OC who should never have been fired in the first place. I think Watson subtly threw him under the bus commenting on the play calling, same for JJ Watt. Not sure if that was a theme from the post game pressers. You could tell the players were done.

So Cal finally woke up from his hibernation? Did he finally see his own shadow or something? Cal didn't care if Bill makes a horrible trade and gets rid of his best player but suddenly awakens from his stupor now. HORRIBLE ownership. Just horrible.

I haven't even watched a full game this year. Haven't cared less for a Houston team since Bud took off for Nashville. The BOB **** show was older then Ma and Pa Kettle.

I might actually start caring again - depending on the hire. Problem is that doesn't remove the real problem - Cal.

It also doesn't account for the fact that Bill has ruined this team for the foreseeable future. There's now a deep hole full of BOB **** that has to be corrected - if it's even possible with Cal in charge.

At this point, I view it as addition by subtraction but long term Cal needs to get his cranium out of his anal cavity.

So are the Texans GM and HC jobs a desireable place to come work to here in Houston since OB screwed everything up for a couple of years for this team? I imagine it will take some doing to right the ship again.

My mother called me after this news broke and I told her that I’ll be able to watch the Texans again. I was at a point where I just didn’t care to watch this team anymore. Anytime I would attempt to watch this team, I ended up cutting the game off being upset. Now I just don’t have emotions for this team.

With Bob gone, which I’ve I thought he should have been gone before last season, I will be able to watch this team again. I don’t expect anything good out of RC, but at least Bob isn’t here anymore.

To be honest, I wasn’t too bothered by Rick Smith as the Gmlike a lot of folks were. I felt like Rick did his part with bringing some talent to the team. But both Kubiak (was too loyal to Schaub, and BOB stubbordness) got in the way.

Cal is an employee of the Texans. This move was from the owner.

This is like after the proverbial horse is out of the barn: he's traded away years of top draft picks in questionable deals, and signed Watson
to the biggest deal in the teams history, and traded away the best player on the franchise for dubious value.
Does Easterly now become the GM and lead the search for a new coach ?

Not that many of you remember or care, but I took a break from the message board and Texans for reasons that are clear today.

**** you OB. Eat a bag of ****.

You continue to ruin this team. The Kansas City game was bigger than you. The job is bigger than you.

And you too Cal. You are just as guilty.

This was my last post after the DHop trade. Finally I can start wasting time on the Texans again. All it took was firing the GM and HC.

Sign me up for anyone from the Ravens organization. I have always said that if there is an organization that we should try to copy it is the Ravens. They have been a good team competing for Super Bowls for 2 decades now and they won championships with Trent Dilfer and Flacco. Let me say that again - they won Super Bowls with Dilfer and Flacco. Eric DeCosta was a guy we had pined for years but is not available now that he is finally their GM. I am intrigued by anyone that has been mentored by Ozzie and DeCosta
