If Kelly really takes over the OC duties then yes, it may be possible.
24-27. General middle of pack BO'B. Never finished above 25ppg. Hope to be surprised.
I am hoping TK calling plays makes a difference but kind of waiting for proof before I say they will step up considerably
I think that our teams offense will take at least 4 to 6 weeks to really start finding itself. Once they do I can foresee the offense scoring some 30+ scores.

Yes that is basically what I stated. So they still need time to gel

It is going to be a long season of losing. They are going to need to because the matador defense will be giving up at least that much.

I make no excuses for BO'b. The offense should be better than it is. In seasons past we could afford to start slowly on offense, but with the defense being the worst in the league, and for that matter the worst in the league in many years, we can't afford the time it will take them to jell. They've been gelling since O'Brien got here, and have to start over every year

Just think, the real pain begins next season.I make no excuses for BO'b. The offense should be better than it is. Even when the offense was at it's best, when DeAndre Hopkins was catching most of the passes, our offense has never been run properly. The trades BO'b made will show how incompetent BO'b is.
As far as the O-line goes, all I heard was how the continuity of the guys would benefit them. You would not know that based on how they played beyond that one TD drive early in the game last night .
We are up against the wall with no time to get things in order as far as the team goes. I could see us winning only 4 games all season. Two of those wins could come against the lowly Jaguars, and the other teams we may beat are the Browns and Bengals.
I for sure can see the team starting 1-6 or even 0-7.
If we get to the half way point with at least 3 wins I will consider that a successful start.
This season is a wear a Bag over your heads season.
It's shocking how they barely run behind the highest paid LT in the NFL.

Unfathomable. The Texans scored 30 pts 5 times in 6 games of Watson rookie year. They have scored 30 twice since then.

The play calls and scheme designs of OBrien is not conducive to sustaining drives.Part of it is teams / DC's have figured Watson out.
He's going to hold the ball a long time - we all know this - so do those DC's and they plan accordingly.
Eventually your pass rush is going to get to him , in the mean time keep him between the tackles , cover the downfield routes and compress the pocket .... If he gets outside , you are in trouble. Limit that and the odds they give the ball up are high.
This style of play just isn't conducive to sustaining drives which leads to scoring points ...
My pick was closed, only because it was 21-24.

So, as an OC, what do you do to counter this? Do you go to a quick passing game? Reduce some of the slower developing plays? Reduce so many deep routes? Call more three step drops to get him in rhythm early in games? Call fewer option routes? Similar to KC, use more plays from their QBs college days? What adjustments have you seen by the QB, OC and HC to counter what the defenses are doing? If you can see what the defenses are doing. I'm sure the offensive staff can see it too and if Watson is not doing as instructed, they should be in his ear and face when he comes off the field.Part of it is teams / DC's have figured Watson out.

Exactly. Here are the games that I see where the Texans scored 30+ with Watson as QB.I'm seeing that they scored 30+ 4x in 2018 and 2x in 2019
Both Big Ben and Andrew Luck are notorious for holding onto the ball. So, as an OC, what do you do to counter this? Do you go to a quick passing game? Reduce some of the slower developing plays? Early in his career, Roethlisberger had a reputation for holding the ball and taking a beating. Roethlisberger and many Steelers' fans were upset that Tomlin fired Bruce Arians as his OC and even though Todd Haley has personality issues, he was finally able to convince Ben about changing his playing style to prolong his career and take what the defense is giving up. You know the rest of the story.
Here is Ben complaining about throwing shorter, quicker passes.

True, but it's still (5 out of 6) vs. (6 out of 32).Where did you get this stat? I'm seeing that they scored 30+ 4x in 2018 and 2x in 2019
The answer is simple, he’s gotten a better grasp of the system
