Wren has been placed on IR. Will undergo surgery.Bengals DT Renell Wren has suffered what appears to be a partial quadriceps tendon tear. He will be evaluated for surgery. Even a partial tear of quad tendon in an NFL DT needs to be surgically repaired if total rupture is to be avoided.
It's unfortunate, but Logan has been placed on IR and will require surgery for a ruptured patellar tendon.T.J. Logan carted off at Bucs practice

One of the players vying for a role in Tampa’s backfield needed assistance getting off the field at Thursday’s practice.
Running back T.J. Logan was carted off after being tackled from behind by linebacker Quinton Bell. The injury came a play after the offense and defense did some pushing and shoving during an 11-on-11 drill and head coach Bruce Arians said after the session that players have to know the limits while working with their teammates.
“When we’re in the non-tackling period, I don’t want to tackle,” Arians said, via Eduardo Encina of the Tampa Bay Times. “When we tackle, we tackle. But the last thing you do is grab a jersey. I can see you on film if you’re going to make a tackle or not. We’ll see how that goes, how it plays out. But there’s a certain practice etiquette you have to follow. Young guys happen to struggle with that.”

There's absolutely no excuse for this happening.........tackling in a non-tackling drill. Looks like lack of discipline byh both the offense and defense led to this incident. But making it so much more egregregious is the fact that Bell snapped Logan back by the shirt prior to the tackle.
I would not be surprised to see him on the PUP before the season.
That's the PUP/active list.............and if he is able to come off that list prior to the end of TC, then he can play week 1. If that player is unable to play during TC or if during TC for the first time he is unable to play, he must be placed on the PUP/reserve list, which means he cannot play in the regular season until week 7.I've been out of the loop for a while and they may have changed the rules, but don't they have to put him on PUP before TC starts?
Lewd cheerleader videos, sexist rules: Ex-employees decry Washington's NFL team workplace
In "Beauties on the Beach," the official video chronicling the making of the Washington NFL team's 2008 cheerleader swimsuit calendar, the women frolic in the sand, rave about their custom bikinis and praise a photographer for putting them at ease in settings where sometimes only a strategically placed prop or tightly framed shot shielded otherwise bare breasts.
What the cheerleaders didn't know was that another video, intended strictly for private use, would be produced using footage from that same shoot. Set to classic rock, the 10-minute unofficial video featured moments when nipples were inadvertently exposed as the women shifted positions or adjusted props.
The lewd outtakes were what Larry Michael, then the team's lead broadcaster and a senior vice president, referred to as "the good bits" or "the good parts," according to Brad Baker, a former member of Michael's staff. Baker said in an interview that he was present when Michael told staffers to make the video for team owner Daniel Snyder.

They would be a force...Hunter though has been mysteriously missing from the last 11 practices.https://sports.yahoo.com/vikings-re...ed-pass-rusher-yannick-ngakoue-115328901.html Ngakoue and Danielle Hunter could be a special pair of pass rushers in Minnesota.
Hunter had a hamstring issue at the beginning of last season. Though he didn't miss any practices or games. I would tend to believe that he is dealing with a similar issue now, but a more prolonged precautionary rest is not all that problematic to his beginning the 2020 season. If he is not practicing within the next week, I would suspect that he has suffered more than a "tweak."They would be a force...Hunter though has been mysteriously missing from the last 11 practices.
When Clowney left Houston there was ample discussion on him or his agent being able to discuss or negotiate extension or any type contract with his team or any other after a certain date. He went to Seattle for that season.
Is there a difference that allowed Yannick to discuss lowering his base GTD salary from $18 m to apprx four mill less?
but if I remember correctly even before he signed his tender he was not allowed to negotiate with other teams Correct?Clowney had already signed his tender
Wow that's a stunner ! On the other hand we all know it's been an up and down, mostly down NFL career for Fournette at Jacksonville.

This guy was a top 5 pick coming out and "on paper" with his size and speed looked to be a a natural.
Released him outright, no trade ?
I dunno could we use him ?
Yeah this is a shocker indeed.
Yes we could use him but we’re set at running back. Well hopefully lol
Check it out: From 2012-2017 the Jags draft in the top 5 each year: WR Justin Blackmon, OT Luke Joeckel, QB Blake Bortles, DE Dante Fowler, Jr., CB Jalen Ramsey and then RB Leonard Fournette. None of those Draft picks are on the team any longer today. |
The Jaguars have finally cut Leonard Fournette.
Not really...............this with Fournette was in the making for quite a while................the "new" Jags are looking to get away from the "pound the ball" approach to their offense.Going for the obvious tank job.

Fournette was allowed to be cut by O'Brien's best friend. Think O'Brien will get a ringing endorsement on Fournette? Not a chance.Yes...the Texans could use Fournette. He was in a system that didn’t work for him. OB’s system is suited to power runners and having speed is a plus. Fournette could be a nice inexpensive insurance policy for David Johnson.
Derwin James needs surgery, which will keep him out 6-8 monthsChargers ProBowl safety Derwin James sustained what appeared to be a hamstring injury to his right leg in a scrimmage today. However, it has turned out to be a meniscus tear. In Sept 2016, James sustained a left meniscus tear and lost the entire season when he opted for a meniscus repair instead of trim. Depending which route of treatment is chosen, he will lose at least a 4-6 weeks for a trim......... to several months for a repair. If he is career-smart, he will opt for the repair.
