We gave them exactly what they wanted. It was a terrible coaching decision. If we force them to go 15 yards for the catch then the time runs out.

That’s a great point. Probably would have seen the Patriots do something like that mid season.

I think we can coach guys on that. It’s game 1, remember. This isn’t like peak discipline from these guys.

They played well, seriously the best game 1 by the Texans in their history.
 
Watson literally had won us this game! WTF Romeo!!!!???? I still can’t get over that f-king coverage he called! Would have been Watson’s signature win...SAD!
 
Do we have no one on the staff that watches the other team's kicker in warm ups? The announcers mentioned several times Lutz was making it from 60 in warm ups yet the Texans gave up ground like they expected him not to have the leg.

This game showed me what the offense can do if Watson remains standing. At the sack rate so far, I don't think that'll happen. If that improves, our offense could be serious this year.

However, since we stripped the defense to do this we now have a another problem.
 
O Brien still called a horrible game........ all those runs and bubble screens on 2nd and
Long is nauseating......... he only opened it up for Watson when we got down and Watson delivered...... O BRIEN YOU FUCKIN IDIOT YOU NEED TO PLAY LIKE WE PLAYED WHEN WE WERE DOWN...... we played to not lose when we was up and it bit us in the ass and Colvin is TERRIBLE...... I thought the slot corner was his specialty???? He got his ass ate up all game long..... if O Brien takes the shackles off Deshaun from the beginning we would of blew these guys off the field smh
 
Would have been a HUGE win. Now just an L. That play happened so quickly. Any coverage at all and they don't get a FG chance.

Texans played their butts off against one of the favorites to rep NFC in Super Bowl this year. No shame in this loss. Team played hard and showed a lot of potential for this coming year.

Had opportunities to win and didn’t take advantage. Saints did same thing except they had the ball last. Probably game of the year.

Important thing now is for Tunsil/Stills to learn more of playbook and Texans to turn around and beat a Foles less Jags team.

We lost the one guy, and Mercilus showed that he can still play. I get they can both play at the same time on most downs, but the Clowney thing is being way overplayed. It made sense for us not to commit to him long term given the medical history. I’m fine with it.
 
I don’t predict the season based on the first game in, therefore, early on the Texans could have a great season, New Orleans could be battling to match last year’s season, and of course it could be a Texans Saints Super Bowl. It’s going to be interesting going forward.

Well, given the history of this team and how things usually play out the Saints would have scored at least one more TD and won without the drama we witnessed tonight. I will say this, our Texans played their butts off and even with the sacks our O-line gave up they did allow for our chance at winning. We have a pretty good football team. It just sucks that our schedule ahead is so tough. Our O-line stands to be much better but I will hold out hope they quickly improve.

Yeah, it's effing Brees. The Texans scored too fast. And Saints don't get final score unless Texans intentionally give up yardage to set up the FG. Not that special. A coaching staff with one mf'er with an IQ over 70 would be special. Apparently.
