I mentioned on another thread that I had fainted when I mistakenly saw that we had given up a first and second round trading Clowney. So I took a nap woke up to find out it was two firsts and a second round. Just got the teams wrong.

JJ is still a force to be reckoned with. If he stays healthy, we are golden with him on the line occupying two linemen. On the downside, if he has another significant injury it could spell the end for him.
I expect Merci will have a big year and get career sack #'s.
I predict Angelo Blackmon will have a breakout year and help fill the dlineman void.

It’s just mind blowing that the Dolphins got significantly more back for Tunsil than the Raiders did for a prime Khalil Mack. Insane.

On a positive note; Tunsil is a HELL of a tackle. Did you guys give up a lot? Certainly. I’m a fan of keeping my draft picks. I don’t want to pour salt in the wound but I’m just grateful another teams front office is operating how my Dolphins front office used to. Make no mistake; you guys got a hell of an upgrade at LT and a great deep threat in Stills. Definitely in win now mode.

Ps- Dolphins 2020 draft: 2 1sts, 2 2nds and 2 3rds..... 2021: 2 1sts and 2 2nds.... What a time to be a Dolphins fan.

Because the OL still sucks, the RB and TEs suck and obrien is a terrible OC.

The line isn't fixed. They now have two good OL: tunsil and Fulton

Nah we’ll suck this year and next year we will be DANGEROUS. Defense is an edge rusher away from being VERY good. 2 1sts, 2 2nds and 2 3rds next draft with $95m in cap space. I’ll take this terrible year; what lies ahead is well worth it

Draft picks are also trade capital.
If the 'Phins now need a LT, they may fork them over to another team.

What scares me is that Davenport is going to go to Miami and look like Tunsil while Tunsil is going to look like Davenport after getting "coached up" by the Texans.

Carlos Hyde has been hot garbage the last 2 years. I'd prefer Blue over him right now.

We will see how all this shakes out but I’m reading this Martin kid in his rookie year last year had pressure ratios at Clark’s level. Carroll was very high on him. We will see but he may be more dangerous with Watt than Clowney was putting pressure on the qb.

OB is such a screw up, even when he makes the right move, its for the wrong price.

The only solice, I figure OB isnt going anywhere for at least two more seasons... so what do I care about picks, if he or one of his boys are at the helm.

So... meh... maybe Watson will live long enough to see a changing of the guard.

ULTIMATELY THE QB OUTSIDE THE HEAD COACH IS THE #1 ASSET TO THE ORGANIZATION and you need to go out of your way. You need to MAKE MISTAKES trying to protect him and put weapons around him. Lucks retirement was a wake up call and ob finally realizes you alter young QBs careers by allowing them to get sacked. Now make another mistake for TRENT WILLIAMS

Won’t happen because you will get a great prospect at QB next year but won’t have a LT to protect him so he’ll end up getting killed. We have zero talent? We have arguably the best corner in football in Xavien Howard, Minkah Fitzpatrick is a stud, Jerome Baker is a stud, Reshad Jones (getting up there) stud, Kenyan Drake, Jakeem Grant, Albert Wilson. You get the point.

We have pieces to build around. We were going to cut Stills regardless so essentially two first round picks and a 2nd for a great LT that is about to break the bank and didn’t want to be here. I’d consider this trade a win for the Dolphins and so would a lot of your fellow Texans fans as it appears. Anyhow; hoping you guys have a terrible season. Nothing personal, just need that higher 1st. Take care bud!

Last year was his 1st at LT and I thought he was very good in pass pro. There is still working to be done in the run game. But hhe should get better, he's an ascending player who won't hit his prime for2-3 yrs.

Those guys are very valuable as you see by the Tunsil trade. It sure is nice to have the LT position locked down for the next decade. Barring injury

I’m definitely hoping not. If Tunsil pans out, I’m cool with paying two late 1st rounders and a late 2nd rounder for him.
Tunsil Howard Fulton Scharping Henderson (can Johnson play RT?) looks a helluva lot better than what we had.
If it ends up being one or more early 1sts and a 2nd, not so much and the new regime will be hamstrung coming in. Very typical situation for perennial bad teams.

I feel like we’re in a complicated relationship. First the Texans do things that break our hearts and show they don’t really love us and it’s time to move on. Then just as we are packing our stuff they show up with a diamond ring and flowers or wearing something out of a Victoria’s Secret (whichever suits your taste) and we’re on top of the world again.

Any therapists that’s specialize in football relationships?
