Decent LT's are hard to come by and Watson is a franchise QB and has to be protected.
At least our FO is serious about that.

LT - Tunsil
DE - Watt
CB - Roby? - certainly have the money to retain all 3 in the future now.
WR - Nuk - already locked up

:ahhaha: Whining about all the draft capital given up. If these moves pan out, we are locked in with 3 of the brightest young talents in the league. Just proves there's no winning with some here.

BoB's going all in...can't say i blame him...but i guess he feels if he's going out, he's going out on his terms..hell for all we know, this is Cal's call....The aggression all of a sudden is a serious departure from the Texans under Bob McNair.

But if BO'b gets his head out of his butt & start someone (anyone) other than Martin at Center, we may have a true contender on our hands this year & next.

No doubt we gave up too much. But I finally get the feeling that someone on Kirby gives a fck about winning in January & hopefully February.

I really didn’t see you trolling this board. I thought, for the most part, we were pretty respectful of you. Oh well...

I personally don’t know what to think about this trade. I’m pretty greedy with draft picks, even though 1st rounders are about 50/50 of being a JAG. Good luck with those 50 percenters, I guess. Texans probably wouldn’t have had much luck with them anyway.

You can also say that they have zero good CB's, Both edge rushers are old and injury prone.

And how hard it is to get a LT. We have seen in the last two off seasons. Trent Brown and Nate solder we’re vastly overpaid. And how many got traded. The only way you get one for less is by drafting him. We might have with Dillard but he is an u known. We know Tunsils production so far and he has the tools to excel in the future.

Still sucks with the draft picks...

All you gotta do is look at the 1st round LT's taken over the last 5 or so years...lots of busts.....then you add in the guys like Brown and Solder...It ain't nearly as easy as some of the draftniks in here think it is.

He is right with Watson and Tunsil - the two most difficult positions to fill. Nuk is here to stay as well, that is a great core for the offense. On defense it looks a bit different Watt is getting up there in age and has dealt with injuries, our CB situation is bad. Pass rusher and cb is harder to fill, we will need to spend some money here...

No, as a future 4th wouldn't of beat/matched the Eagles offer. If we had a 4th rounder in 2019 draft instead of getting 4 games out of Demarius Thomas. We would of had the picks to get Dillard.

I think some of these guys are Rick Smith's nephews . The fact they got a legit LT to protect their most valuable asset is ok . The hardest thing to find is a good QB and they have one on a rookie contract and you have elite players in their prime for a few more years . It's time to go all in and let the chips fall . They may have over paid on one and didn't get enough for the other but that's not as bad as starting the year with no LT .
 
No way we gave up to much. Unless we are drafting in the top of the round next years pick could not be equal to Tunsil. So the first the following is a little steep. But If it keeps Watson healthy small price to pay. It is just to bad we could not get the second we lost back from Clowney.

The offense and defense will still suck.

This team will get blown out of the water and there is no path at all to get batter.

Why will the offense suck? Because of millers injury? We significantly upgraded our oline, our tes got one more year under their belt, Fuller (Ted machine with Watson) and our slot wr are healthy... our offense will be fine.

I am worrying about our secondary with a worse pass rush.
