**Official Game-Day Thread** Bills at Texans, Sunday Oct 14, 2018!!

Going into the season, I thought the AFC South had really improved and would be one of the better divisions.

One of the better messes in the league

The very worse thing that can happen is we win the damn division. False hope!
This is as bad as I've ever felt after a win. The Texans had every chance to dominate but kept letting the Bills back in the game. After settling for a tying FG after having the ball at the 1 yd line, I just knew the Texans would find a way to lose. Thank goodness for Nathan Peterman. I'll take the win, I can't pull for my team to lose but winning the division would be a bad thing. OB doesn't seem to have the self-awareness to see that he doesn't have a clue about running an NFL offense.

Watson should have never been cleared to play today. I tried to present his likely injuries based on the exams he was undergoing throughout the Cowboys game. The injuries I suspected and were made light of came to finally be revealed only just before the game........by Jay Glazer.......not the Texans, the not the Houston media, not even CBS before or during the game broadcast.

Another fine job by the Texans medical staff.

BTW, Is this the same Jay Glazer who according to a couple of our esteemed posters doesn't know anything about the Texans.

# There was no turmoil within the Texans org.

This is what they're stuck with for this yr.

I just hope Watson survives and doesn't become gun shy.
He’s already gun shy in that he’s too focused on the offensive line. Once he loses focus on what’s happening downfield by taking a peak around him he’s behind the secondary. They’ve adjusted during that split second.

Remember when Peterman was a pre-draft favorite on this forum? Just a reminder that we don't know wtf we're talking about, either.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I do remember that. Remember when I was worried about Watson throwing 30 INTs in two years? Sometimes we do know what we're talking about. I'm just thankful that I have NFL interests outside of Houston. It hasn't always been that way.

Wow. Cowboys now lead 24-0 over the Jaguars.
The Titans are losing to the Ravens did you say?

Texans about to be in first place in the AFC South!
A three-way tie. Texans, Titans and Jaguars all 3-3.

Those first place Houston Texans!!!!

Ok now you’re just trying to make us laugh. Technically factual. I will give you that. LoL

Do you guys realize this awful division is right up OB alley. His got his two division crowns. And here we are again in an awful division. Its like lebron in the eastern conference. We are gonna win the division by default again. Then get blown out in the playoffs. Wait till next year.

I don't think we win the division. The BRAIN is going to go into overdrive with his NEW GREAT CREATIVE SNEAKY COOL CUTE offense. WE are toast and DW will not finish the season.

The worst I've felt because I should have put the house on the 10 points Vegas was giving the Bills. Don't get many chances for easy money like that.

And everyone's gonna suck his dick all the meanwhile acting like he ******* accomplished anything and providing cover for his failures.

It’s good to be here. I’ve been around. Just haven’t posted as I’ve been working. Now that I’m down and recuperating from a total reverse arthroplasty... I’ve got time.

Says who though? Glazer? Bleh.

He certainly played like he was injured today.

Take care of yourself and get well soon.

Totally unrelated, Zeke looked pretty healthy today.
All I’m saying is those were some very specific claims. We all know our Doc Jean knows his stuff but c’mon now... THAT specific? Tough to swallow. Someone on Facebook said that Glazer told Doc Jean this stuff. Lmao.

Does he or does he not have a cracked rib, bruised lung, and/or collapsed lung?
Yes. But the partial collapse would have had to be reinflated for him to be playing. Repeat trauma can partially recollapse the lung again. Bruised lung can extend with continued trauma.......potentially leading to serious consequences.

Glad you got a laugh. I didn't get it from Glazer (never talk to him)...........it was only repeated by Glazer.

So the correct answer is... we don’t know.

1st down on the opponent's 1-yard line. A team like the Texans needs better field position than that. They need my option-inches formation.
Put the QB under center and split both ends. If they aren't both covered, the QB can lob the ball to one of them. Put 2 fullbacks behind the guards at the same depth as the QB. Line up a RB about 2 yards behind the QB. The default play is QB sneak but if the D overloads the center hand the ball to one of the FB's, who are prepared to take it straight ahead if they get it. If the QB decides to hand off to the RB on either side, the latter has a lead blocker up front.

A team like the Texans do not have 1 FB.

This win wasn't convincing, at least on offense. Having said that, the Texans won and are 3-3 now. They have went on to make the postseason before with after going 3-3. They did it in 2011. The Texans have done it before.

Trotting players out when injured or putting them in a bad position resulting in injuries has been a hallmark of Bill O'Brien's tenure.

It's happened with Arian Foster, JJ Watt, Ryan Mallett, and now it's happening with Deshaun Watson. Among others I'm sure.

Sorry, I can't speak to that. I don't know who his sources may be.
Here’s what I think... I think he poached your thoughts from here. At least you have credence. You know what you’re talking about. He doesn’t. Know what I mean?

I hate sports reporters sometimes.

Blehhhhhh.

When they got that pass interference call in the end zone, and were on the 1 yd line, 1st down, I was thinking to myself, OK, this time they'll make it. I mean, it's the just the odds, right? Then they didn't make it, again. This team is seriously messed up to get those kinds of opportunities (and several of them) and screw them up as many times as they have.

:mariopalm:

You guys I swear..

That's beside the point. They can get FB's, use TE's, or even use RB's. What do you think of the formation and the options?

Reads like a variation of the straight T-formation from the 50 plus years ago...the core issue of having an OLmen who one on one block the dude in front of him isn't made any better by having back closer to the line with fewer options(space) to see a crease and/or cut to a hole.
