This is the first time the Arizona Cardinals have played a preseason game in Houston and the first visit to Houston since the 2005 regular season (a 30-19 win for the Texans).

What to watch
1. Pass rush: Will the defense up front continue the dominance?
2. Pass protection: With Nick Martin out, Will Mancz continue his upward progress?
3. Osweiler, Part 3: Will he continue to improve his footwork, accuracy, decision making?
4. Hopkins eruption? With only one pass catch so for this pre-season, will he finally get going?
5. Akeen Hunt: With 20 yards rushing and 57 yards in kick returns last week, will he show that he deserves a spot on the 53?

Things to watch:
The field - It looked great last game but it didn't make any plays. Isn't that all we ever wanted, a level playing field?
The food - The food was in mid-season for already. Great job tailgaters and concessions.
The traffic - Getting in was great but I went early. I see so many people stopping to ask police officers where their parking lot is located. The elevated walkway from the Blue lot is way over due. Getting out was easy but lots left early.
 
The Texans depth chart still has Martin starting, since his season ending ankle injury, Mancz will start.
Carrington was released earlier this week also.

Due to so many injuries on TexansTalk we have a rookie creating the Official Game Day Thread now. I think we seriously need to consider some veteran backup insurance in case this guy doesn't work out. Apparently he has been doing it on that other non-relevant board. And it crashed and burned. Bad. Just saying these are the chances you take with a Rookie..... :bat:

I joined TexansTalk 2 years before you. So I'm still a rookie?
I haven't been doing the Official game day thread on HT.com. I've been doing the weekly game threads. This will be my 6th season doing them over there, and that board is still alive and well. As far as the official game day thread, there is someone who does it here, and I'm sure when the regular season comes, he'll continue doing them. If your he is unable to though, I'll be glad to help this board in any way I can.

JamTex is on here getting better everyday. He's just trying to be the best teammate he can be. Leave him alone.

Just 4 1/2 more hours to game time. Can't get here quick enough. I'm just glad it's not a 6 or 7pm game. I hate those late games.
 
I'm really interested in seeing how the OL performs against the Cards tough DL. This game should give BOB the opportunity to see where his team stands.
