How did we beat San deigo seeing has how there a playoff team and they way the season went

I would like to go back and watch that game did we do anything different or was it just a week 1 thing ..???

and we did it on the road...?!?!?!?!

San Diego peaked at the right time. Also keep in mind that we don't encounter years that often where a team with an 8-8 record gets into the playoffs. Just ask the '09 Texans about that one.

Very true. It was very odd this year watching teams with better records have to play away in the playoffs. Oh well thats the NFL for ya, now a days the division winners arent always the best teams.

It was when our crappy team was healthiest and featured big plays by players like Cushing, Foster and OD who were on IR at the halfway mark of the season.

The same way we "beat" Seattle... had Schaub not thrown that pick 6 at the end of the game to send it into overtime. Remember...? :strangle:

It's the NFL. Anybody can beat anybody. It's not like the Chargers were 15-1 either. They finished 9-7, which is mediocre, which is where 90% of the NFL is today.

In most cases, there's a very fine line between winning and losing.

We lost a lot of games that we should have and could have won. Our record was 2-14 and that's what we were but 2-14 isn't all that far removed from 8-8.

Schaub hadn't fallen apart yet. He threw for 350 yards and 3 TDs. If he kept playing like that, this was still a playoff team.

You're not going anywhere without a QB in today's passing oriented NFL, so the season pretty much died with Schaub's confidence.

We just didn't know yet that he already fell apart. Do you remember the start to the game on offense? A pick by Schaub that was nearly a pick-6. And it looked just like the rest of the pick-6's in the following games.

Yep...just think if we would have won the Seattle game, first Colts game, the KC game...it could be the difference between 2-14 and 10-6

The confidence from winning those three games (which were all barely lost) could have been huge. The team was in every game and then just seemingly said F it.

Brian Cushing had a big pick six in that game. If we have a healthy Arian Foster and Brian Cushing playing good football in 2014 we're going to be a pretty good team by default. That's not counting the draft picks and free agent additions.

Everybodys favorite punching bag Matt Schaub

34-45 346 yds 3TDs 1 pick

Probably his last good game as a Texan.
