2013 Projected Depth Chart

Meh... I think there will be an open camp battle for the RG spot between Jones and Brooks and I think Brooks will win this battle.

Same goes for RT. I could very well see Brennan win that starting job.

I am pretty sure Montgomery will back up one of the OLB spots, Braman the other - not the DE spot.

Jared Crick could potentially back up NT as well as DE. And I think and hope, that we will pick up another D-Linemen in this draft.

And I think Swearinger will back up both S spots and see the field a lot on 3 S looks. I expect to see him on the field a lot next season (including ST).
 
Also, remember the free agent market is still overflowing with quality veterans that can be had for the league minimum (or close to it). So, I would expect a minimun of two rather significant free agent signings in May to patch holes that remain after the draft is complete.
 
Question: What's your opinion of Mike Mohammed? Where did he come from? not sure i've heard of him.
 
As much as I'm concerned about the right side of the O line, shouldn't we be more concerned about Wade Smith? He was excellent for us 2 years ago, but last year he seemed to take a step back. I don't want to knock him, but he didn't play that well last year and due to the problems on the other side of the line, he caught a pass. I hope he turns it around this year (and isn't a sign that he got old overnight) but if he can't, I hope we have someone waiting in the wings. I don't want to see what Schaub is going to look like with a permiable O line.

I expect there to be a big shakeup all along the o-line. There are a lot of things that could happen. If Brooks and Jones continue to develop, we could be looking at Brooks and Jones as our starting guards.
 
Personally, I think both Ben Jones, & Brandon Brooks will be starting. Cody White/Wade Smith will be culled. Most likely Wade Smith. Newton will most likely start, unless there is a serious setback with his knee, or Williams is a beast (which is what I'm hoping).

Brooks will probably start at ILB, with Montgomery starting at OLB (if he keeps his head together through camp). Brooks will be taken off the field in passing situations, unless Montgomery isn't up to snuff.

But I think it will be a natural rotation between Brooks, Montgomery, & Swearinger; with Brooks filling in two spots as needed.
