Not sure what I'm bringing yet, but it's probably going to involve cutting some cheese:runaway:

.

I'm making tacos al pastor (pork). Probably about 6 to 8 pounds worth. In taco language that's a lot of tacos. There will be plenty for everyone.

Also my nephew in law that comes with his brothers is coming and like the playoff game they will be bringing a lot of meat and food to our tailgate.

Joe if possible they might use your pit again.

David could you please bring the soft texans cooler that I left in your truck. I will need it for the breakfast tacos. Last thing: David does your grill get got enough to cook the meat in a Mexican style griddle, it's about a 1/8 inch thick?

I have the cooler - I was planning on bringing it to the tailgate. The grill will get plenty hot - I have the regulators set so that the burners are always running on low. We'll just need to be mindful of any grease, and that it doesn't spill into the grill.

Cool, the griddle has a two inch lip on it so everything stays contained, but if you think it might still be a problem I can bring a burner and propane bottle.

That should be fine, no need to haul the extra stuff. I also have a fire extinguisher handy at every game just in case, so no worries.

I will be making my first foray into a paid lot (blue) to tailgate. Hope to get to meet a few of you guys there.

I'll do that shoot me a PM to give me some directions or a way to identify you and your crew.

The literal Northwest corner of the Platinum lot. The official Blue Crew tailgate is the really big tent. However all the tailgates around it are also a part. So go to the northwest corner (all the way), find a stranger, and ask 'where's the Blue Crew?'

Then introduce yourself as 'Bong' and TexansTalk member swill come out of the woodwork.

Sounds like I'm being a smartass, but I am not.

Make sure you let us know your Bong, so that I get to know you. I can't tell you how many times I find out the next day there was a board member there and I didn't meet them.

Same here Danny! Always a blast meeting board members. MAYBE we'll have the BLUE CREW flag waving this game. David? Ted? I don't remember seeing it at all this year come to think of it.

Look forward to meeting you!

Clarification - He's definitely a smartass, but he's telling the truth here. :kitten:

Yep. That's EXACTLY how it works.

And please say hi if you see someone that looks a bit like this only with a little more bling :texans chick:

We've had too many rainy & windy games this year. I think it has been up only one game this year.

I'm skippin' the weenies this time...they're too breakfast-y. But I'm thinking of bringing some cheese and sausage balls instead. :scarygirl:

My understanding is the ropes are missing, which is why we haven't seen the flag.

And careful, there is a blue bus that says Blue Crew 52 or something like that. That is NOT us. Pass on by and head to the corner of the lot.

I found out later that the Blue Crew blue bus kidnapped some people trying to make our last tailgate.

Sounds good, I actually think that Blue Bus lives in my neighborhood but not 100% on that. Will be there with me and my mother so it'll be great to meet you guys.

I know that we'll at least have some beerski's to bring and I don't think we'll be bringing much else (hope that's not a problem). However I do have one question: My wife hand makes Texans themed hair bows and I usually go around selling them here and there. Is it okay if I bring something like that by or should I just leave that at the house? I don't want to make anybody mad doing something like that the first time I meet you guys.

We should have plenty of food, so just bring your drink of choice. In regards to the hair bows, you can sell them, but do so at your own risk. The golf cart cops are very keen on busting people that sell stuff. We had a fundraiser during the Miami tailgate for a member that was in the hospital, and they gave us a lot of flack for it. When we explained to the head officer what was going on, he let it slide, and the other golf cart cop was not happy about it. So I'll let you make the call on that one.

Katie... I'm actually ok with you on this one. Now on the other hand, with "sausage balls" I'm curious if Hobie :hobie: would show up?

Bringing red riding hood, shes a packer Fan. Shot, and food brats and rolls. Billy and harvey are not gonna be there. Thats too bad for them we will manage.

Wow!! I didn't know that David! How did they even know? Should be some way to clear something like that with the Texans. That's truly sad.

FYI everyone! Kimberly was planning to come down for the GB game and surprise everyone, but, due to Keiths recent problems she's not sure she will make it. I'll know more later, but, just wanted you all to keep them both in your thoughts and prayers. They have had such a LONG, HARD journey with Keith's illness, and have a tough road ahead. Prayer is a powerful belief, and Keith needs them to go up in abundance!!

I would guess the red tape is so thick, probably not worth it. To be fair, they probably get thousands of requests and it imagine it is hard to sort out what is legit and what is not.

But the lady who busted me wasn't very polite about it.

Ok, change of plans I won't be making the pork tacos. Instead I'm bringing 40 beef and chicken fajita tacos made by the same lady who makes the breakfast tacos.

I had planned for months to be at this tomorrow, but life intervened. Take a bourbon shot for me. I'll be at the Bills game.

Had a lot more fun at the tailgate than I did inside the stadium. Great to meet all of you guys!

Nice to meet you too Bong, and your Mom. You are welcome to join us anytime!!

A great tailgate guys/gals! Lots of good food, good friends, and lousy football! :runaway: BUT, it was GREAT getting to visit with our friend Kimberly again. Having a member of the original BC with us again was just AWESOME!! Please continue to send up prayers for Keith, I know they are still needed and will be appreciated.

GB fans at the tailgate were awesome, can't say the same for some inside the stadium, but, that just goes with the game of football. GB fans definitely follow their team on the road. Maybe I need to go to GB to look for a good paying job that will allow me the money and time off to travel!!:jogger:

You guys/gals are the BEST! Lot of hard work goes into making this a great tailgate, and to those of you who work so hard, I give you my upmost THANKS, and respect, for making it all work so well.

The Owner and his wife send thier thanks and said they had an awesome time. Thanks alot for making it a special tailgate for them

"The Owner" and his wife were awesome as were all the other Packers fans that joined Blue Crew. I could certainly tell that they enjoyed themselves as well as our hospitality.

Also, it was good to see MichaelM again and finally put a face to b0ng and his warped sense of humor.... Which I enjoy immensely.

*Ahem*
And finally, it was fantastically awesome to see Kimberly (aka LongHornBabe)!! I'm so glad she was able to make it out and have a little distraction in her troubled time. We love you!! Please whisper to Keith that he (and you) remain entrenched in our prayers!

Get well soon Keith! I need a Titos Vodka drinking buddy!!!
