1.Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor
2.Orson Charles, TE, Georgia

I thought Brandon was supposed to be back today, but maybe I was mistaken. Lets go ahead and discuss a group pick.

1.13) Arizona Cardinals - Brandon420tx - Michael Floyd, WR, Notre Dame
3.81) Arizona Cardinals - Brandon420tx- Nate Potter, OT, Boise State
4.113) Arizona Cardinals - Brandon420tx - Cam Johnson, DE, Virginia

Maybe a CB like Mike Harris, Florida State?

AZ top needs according to Walter:

Offseason Needs:

Two Offensive Tackles: Levi Brown was cut, so the Cardinals will have to bolster both tackle positions. Jonathan Martin will be an option at No. 13 this April because Arizona must protect its investment in Kevin Kolb (or Peyton Manning). Re-signed Levi Brown

Wide Receiver: Defenses often use bracket coverage on Larry Fitzgerald because he's the only threat on the field. Andre Roberts came on late, but the Cardinals may want to use the No. 13 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft on Michael Floyd or Alshon Jeffery.

Inside Linebacker: Stewart Bradley was a colossal free-agent bust, and he will be cut if it makes sense financially. That's why I currently have Luke Kuechly going to the Cardinals in my 2012 NFL Mock Draft.

Defensive End Depth: Calais Campbell is a free agent who will need to be brought back. Arizona could also use depth in this area. Franchised Calais Campbell

Rush Linebacker: The Cardinals need to bring in a pass-rusher to challenge O'Brien Schofield for the right to start across from Sam Acho, who had a solid rookie campaign.

Right Guard: Rex Hadnot was OK early on, but really struggled down the stretch. He can definitely be upgraded. Signed Adam Snyder

Probably go LB here. Could take Emmanuel Acho ILB here and pair him up with this brother Sam Acho who is one of the OLBs.

With the 145th pick in the TT mock draft the Dallas Cowboys select Rishard Matthews, University of Nevada.

Matthews is a big WR 6'1 217 Lbs with 4.42 speed. He has the strength to beat the jam at the line and the speed to get deep. He outfights smaller DB's on deep balls and has great hands. His route running could use some improvement. But getting a guy with Matthews skills this late in the draft is like stealing.

Matthews can also KR/PR which is an added bonus because it relieves Dez of those duties. Which hopefully cuts down on Bryants injury woes. (Both yrs Dez has gotten hurt returning kicks. Hopefully Jerrah and Jason notice this trend) Doubtful. Matthews replaces Laurent Robinson as the Cowboys deep threat.

Rd.1 Janoris Jenkins
Rd.2 Brandon Brooks
Rd.3 Josh Chapman
Rd.4 Jamell Fleming
Rd.5 Rishard Matthews

5.146) Philadelphia Eagles - Shaft75 -

With pick #156 in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select:

DeQuan Menzie, CB Alabama

DeQuan+Menzie+Kent+State+v+Alabama+U2AHl3WT5nll.jpg

Starting to be slim pickings at the CB position. But the Eagles are happy to have a versatile DB from the best defense in the nation. We need some help at FS, so we'll give him a shot, but he can also play some nickel while he gets adjusted to the pro level. He held is own pretty well in the SEC, so we think that can translate into being a solid pro, just like Kareem... never mind.

1 - Luke Kuechly MLB Boston College
2a - Harrison Smith S Notre Dame
2b - Brock Osweiler QB Arizona State
3 - Keenan Robinson OLB Texas
4a - Brandon Mosley OT Auburn
4b - Brian Quick WR Appalachian State
5 - DeQuan Menzie CB Alabama

The Jets are really happy to get what might become the second of two starting safeties to be drafted in this draft and to get him in the 5th round.

Although this player missed all of 2011 with an injury, his physical talents combined with good football brain puts him in good stead for a career in the NFL.

6'3" 216lbs
4.38 in the 40
24 reps of the bench press
10’4″ broad jump
35.5″ vertical jump

Transtioning from CB to safety from Oregon State.

He was on my radar, great pick.

Hardin can cover the TE being a former CB. He has great size for the S position. Haardin has the ability to become a starter. That's most you can ask for at this point in the mock.

Strengthening the middle of the Jets pass defense was a huge factor in my drafting.

Martin, Cole and now Hardin can all add value against Gronkandez.

The Tennessee Titans select...

Trenton Robinson - Safety - Michigan State

Fast and physical with a nose for the ball. 8 interceptions in the past 2 years. Had a good showing a the Senior Bowl and Combine. Team Captain for the Spartans. Value and need meet for the Titans...

bilde

Draft so far...

1) Dre Kirkpatrick CB Alabama
2) Jared Crick DE Nebraska
3) Ben Jones C Georgia
4) Chris Polk RB Washington
5) Trenton Robinson FS Michigan State

The Cincinnati Bengals take Kheeston Randall, DT/DE, Texas

Good value here, and terrific value to the Bengals given his diversity to play different positions in Zimmer's multi look defense.

very nice draft you got there sir :)

I'm kind of excited about my next pick. Hell, im kinda excited about my top 3.

So I take it we aren't updating the draft order based on the official NFL order released? Cause the Broncos owe the Browns their 5th for Brady Quinn, and the Browns owe the Vikings their 6th for Jayme Mitchell. And there are lots of other trades that happened to change other picks.

Randall sounds like a Raider pick.

Just more work for me. If someone wants picks updated they can PM me.

So the Browns get the Bronco's 153rd pick? And the Browns lose the 161st pick to Minnesota?

I don't see the point in changing it now, we're in the 5th round. Guys have been drafting based on what picks they have available the whole time. Change up the next couple of rounds and I doubt they'll be pleased about it.

Only scenario I see that happening is if we do another mock after this with all the updated picks.

I kind of agree with Wolverine here, but if we did do another mock, I would want to do all the picks, including comp picks. Next year, we really need to hold off until we know the full order and have a week of free agency finished. It kills drafts to look back and see how you could have addressed needs had we waited just a week.

Its whatev. Im fine capping this draft whenever everyone else is. Then we can do our quick mock with a handful of participants.

Do you think we will have enough time to finish the mock if we wait until the compensatory picks are announced. I do, if we shorten up the 1st rd to 6 hrs. Everybody seems to be quick with the 1-3rd picks, then it slows down some.

Or you've got guys like T-Killer. LOL

Wow, I totally forgot about Dwight Jones. 5th round seems like a good spot for him after his interviews went poorly.

The Detroit Lions select Janzen Jackson, S, McNeese State

After growing concerns from a poor season by rookie SS Amari Spievey, the Lions resigned 29 year old Erik Coleman to a 1 year deal. With Jackson they get a safety who has world class talent with a low class brain. Jackson left Tennessee after a fallout with the coaching staff. Hopefully Jackson can grow and mature into the NFL safety he was born to be. Was a 2 year starter right out of the gate at Tennessee. Could probably play any secondary position you want him to. Very talented prospect.

Steelers are looking for depth at the WR position in case Mike Wallace leaves them as a restricted FA. The Steelers select in the fifth round:

DeVier Posey, WR Ohio State

The Denver Broncos select...

Davis_Arky_State.jpg

Demario Davis, OLB, Arkansas State

Davis can really run, and it shows in every play he is in against the run. He has a burst in short areas to move toward the ball immediately off the snap, and can run down almost any back to meet him outside the tackles and cover the outside run. He chases hard and fast every play, and would be an excellent option to play outside in a 4-3 defense in which he could play free and really contain the run from sideline to sideline. He is a good tackler once there and has that obvious explosion to drive through his hips and really deliver a blow on a ball carrier.

Continuing to go hard after defense with this draft.

Round 1: Devon Still, DT, Penn State
Round 2: Lamar Miller, RB, Miami
Round 3: Billy Winn, DE, Boise State
Round 4: Nigel Bradham, OLB, Florida State
Round 5: Ryan Steed, CB, Furman
Round 5: Demario Davis, OLB, Arkansas State

Texans pick is on the clock. Anyone want to discuss who they would take here? I hate revealing my board, but it's just for fun anyways.

Texans' draft so far:
1.26) Houston Texans - bah007 - Rueben Randle, WR, Louisiana State
2.58) Houston Texans - Bah007 - Brandon Thompson, NT, Clemson
3.90) Houston Texans - bah007 - James Brown, OT, Troy
4.122) Houston Texans - Bah007 - Kyle Wilber, LB, Wake Forest

I like any of these guys for this spot:

Marquis Maze WR 5'7¾" 184 Alabama
Coryell Judie CB 5'11¼" 187 Texas A&M
Russell Wilson QB Wisconsin
Levy Adcock OT 6'6" 322 Oklahoma State
