Tebow throws for 3:16 yards...

This is about god? Well then what about

"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets (insert: and in the end zone) , that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward."

Not my book but even I get this. I'm sorry, I understand he walks on water to many but in my view he's just a massive attention whore. Yes, I know "haters gotta hate". That's me baby. That's me.

So if the patriots beat the Broncos next week, is that the devil giving a helping hand to Bill Belichick?

Man, you guys need to unclinch. It was just a joke.

And Herv, you're gonna have to show me that he's doing what he's doing to "be seen by men." Nothing wrong with public displays of your faith. Other places in the bible is says:

Matthew 5:16
In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Oh lord, i have to come on the TEXANS site and deal with Tebow mania as well. I'm sorry i am happy for Tebow BUT his style of play and winning is not going to be long term success. Everyone knows that including Elway, you can here it in his interviews about Tebow.

Josh McDaniels will be on the Patriots staff next week. I believe McDaniels will show his loyalty to his faith in Tebow and betray the Belichick by revealing signals to the Broncos.

Nope - Belichick is paying him in silver - 30 pieces per game from what I hear.

God doesn't care about a football game. I'm a huge football fan, but there are more important things in life.

I'm just saying...

Tebow: 10-21, 316 Yds, 2 TD, Rush TD
Roethlisberger: 22-40, 289 Yds, TD, Int

God moves in mysterious ways...

That is so cool. I am loving this stuff. Oh off subject but Luv_ya_blue I have been on a religious terror this week. I read Heaven is for real, 90 minutes in Heaven, A childrens Bible ( dont ask ) and next will be The Bible for Dummies. I got to get the basics down before diving into the real thing. I am 45 and tired of the food for worms theory. I am just excited and had to tell somebody, sorry. Back on subject, If we don't make it then I am rooting for Denver, It's not Tebow's fault he is getting so much airtime and why not root for such a good human being for once. And who knows, maybe God loves football. Tebow Time

Someone a little concerned with the date Dec 21 2012 approaching ?

So it's all about the intent and since we can do nothing but take his word for it that he's sincere with all the public prayer and such (and even if he wasn't he would insist he was) we just have to make up our own minds about this. No way to know otherwise. For my part I don't buy it.

But then I don't buy any of it so that shouldn't come as a surprise.

Not trying to be convincing or even persuasive. Just tyring to provide some balance.

Jesus' words about the pharisees was about not being hypocritical (FYI--the greek for "hypocritical" means "being an actor") like the Pharisees. They prayed in the streets for the sole purpose of being seen by men. Not to actually communicate with God.

JMO, Tebow was doing what he does now long before the cameras were on him like this.

Other places (like I referenced) in the bible say it's not only perfectly OK to do things "to be seen" just so long as the intent/purpose in the person's heart is to point people to God & his glory.

Demaryius Thomas is not getting enough love. He had some great YAC in that game and several other games this season. Tebow threw the ball about 15 yards, but Thomas ran it the other 65.

I have never seen a game end like that . That was crazy watching him run and the Steelers chasing him . It seemed like it took 30 seconds .

Somewhere up in the sky the big man in a little leather vest and black panties is looking down and smiling on the 3:16. My money hungry charletain pastor told his flock that stone cold Steve Austin favors tim tebow. Awe he'll yeah!!!

The counter to that: Tebow had to recognize the opportunity as the play developed, put the ball where it needed to be, and he did. Multiple times.

This was my first time to see Tebow actually "pull the trigger" as Elway encouraged him to do this week. I mean, it's pretty wild that a lot of people figured THIS would be the undoing of Tebow--A game against a Steelers defense where Tebow would be unable to pull the trigger and Elway would shake his head in disappointment.

I think he did really well today. He's still very raw, but he faced a depleted Steelers team who was short on help. He's had some good fortune, for sure, but he also had to take advantage of it and he did.

The Chiefs, Bills, and Pats showed the template of how to contain him on the ground. But today he beat his foe through the air, a sort of new wrinkle that I'm wondering if Elway can find more personnel and more diversity in play calling to utilize in 2012.

The Steelers and Bengals went into the game forcing the QBs to make it or break it .

Tebow has inspired his team and himself to play at another level. Its has been fun to watch and wouldn't it be great to see Tebow vs Yates matchup? Lets go Texans! :clown:

Are you saying the Bengals failed at it? They did not force T.J. Yates to beat them. Foster and Tate combined to rush for 180 yards and two touchdowns. I agree on the Steelers part, their defense did a pretty decent job shutting down Mcgahee and making Tebow beat them through the air.

Tebow throws for 316 yards. He has 10 completions (Ten Commandments). His average yards per completion is 31.6. He threw for two touchdowns (two testaments). Demarius Thomas was born on Christmas Day. Tebow's cone drill time at the combine was 6.66. The refs names during the game....Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. This **** is serious!

I don't see Tebow ever trying to get into the spotlight or doing extra things to outside of football to market himself really. The media already does way to much of that for him. ESPN has dedicated probably 60% of their broadcasts to the subject of Tim Tebow and 40% for the rest of the NFL and whatever sports they want to cover. I'm pretty annoyed with the whole Tebow mania myself, but I direct it at the networks that spew and force this stuff on it's viewers. It's not fair to us or the rest of the NFL players that actually deserve the extra praise and extra coverage.

He is not trying to do any extra marketing of any kind. Not at all! This is all the work of the media.

Alot of players write stuff on their eye black. This is nothing new and has no affect that the networks, specifically ESPN choose to spend all of their time talking about Tebow. It's not Tebow's fault, it's the stupid networks. It's the way they have always been though and they ain't changing now. How much did we have to hear about Favre, too bad they can't actually cover the whole league, they always laser focus in and run stories into the ground.

"Every day the bucket goes to a well, but one day the bottom will drop out."

:Robert Nesta Marley

Translation? Luck like most things eventually runs out. The fact that someone brushing against Miss Tebow as they ran past him resulted in a 15 yard "roughing the passer" penalty didn't exactly hurt their cause. I wonder who's junk the refs will be slurping on come game day Teblow's or Brady's?

Why are they doubting Thomas ?

Thomas was doubting before the play started that the ball would make it to his hands, he knew his route brought him far away from the great one Tebow and had no faith he could throw such a long throw under such pressure. The play started and he ran as fast as he could, looked over his right shoulder and to his amazement the ball was heading toward his hands in a perfect spiral. All he had to do was open his hands and keep on running till he reached the promise land of the end zone. Now Thomas will never doubt again and his faith will be strong for all time, and soon will be rewarded with a most beautiful ring for all to adore.

For some reason I missed the picture so I missed the sarcasm and repped you here.

What the hell does his eye stickers have to do with anything?? I don't remember you making a big deal out of this the last few years when other players were putting area codes and other things on there's. Tebow put a bible vs on his. So what?? I would have never even noticed that or even cared had you or the media "not brought that up." Why don't you show me where Tebow goes out of his way to get in the media and to promote himself like a guy like TO, Chad Johnson, or Shaq used to try and do. I've seen tons of players talk about their faith and their religion for decades. The difference is that the media didn't talk about it every day for several hours. You ever heard of Brian Dawkins?? Reggie White?? Those guys do it all of the time, but you never hear the media talk about Dawkins like that? I had a fun time rooting for Tebow early on in the season and really enjoyed some of the comebacks. Now I can't stand to hear about him on tv and want him to play bad only so I can hear about the rest of the league again. Tebow has never shown that he is a guy that's out for the limelight or personal accolades.

Yeah, I just don't get it at how folks can't understand that there is a network called ESPN that runs these stories. It's like they completely forget that and either feel that Tebow or Favre all of a sudden became the producer at ESPN and the NFL network and they're making the viewers have to swallow this garbage. In my personal opinion with this kind of news, most athletes don't want this much coverage.

Heres how I feel:

Tebow throws an ugly pass. Even his passes that are right on target wobble all over the place.

Tebow deserves the "W" for that game. He was money, and he put the Broncos in the position to win. Their running game was average. That win is on Tebow.

The Broncos defense is ok, but with a basically immobile Big Ben back there and no Mendenhall, I was surprised they gave up as many points as they did. Again, its on Tebow.

Tebow wants to be recognized as very religious. There are plenty of athletes of equal faith who never were recognized as in your face Christians. The commercials, the press conferences, the personal decorations, etc. Its his thing. And its working, because he's famous now.

I don't see how these things conflict. Its possible for him to be over the top about his religion AND be a poor throwing QB AND get all the credit for having a phenomenal game. The Broncos defense is good, but Tebow won that game. I may not like what I believe to be attention-seeking behavior, but as a football player, I enjoyed watching him yesterday

Great post...

Tebow is the top jersey seller in the NFL and still in the NCAA. THAT is the reason for the massive media coverage. Folks really like the guy and he's bringing non-football people into the picture. Money talks, and advertisers listen.

I love that the Broncos punked the Steelers. Eff the Steelers. If there is one team that could stand some heartbreak after winning 6 freakin' Super Bowls, it's the Steelers. All things considered, the old Oiler fan in me is laughing his ass off at their loss.

I was growing tired of the media hype, too, and still am to some extent. But damn, that OT last night was just awesome. As a football fan, I have to just step back and give credit where credit is due.
