that if the Texans made the playoffs I was finally going to get a Texans tattoo. Now that we have, I'm actually considering following through on that pledge. IF I can find what I'm looking for.

Does anyone have a good picture of the biomechanical bulls that they use for the pre-game video where they crash to earth, assemble, hit the stadium, and wreck the opposing team?

If I'm going to do this, I want more than just a simple Texans logo tattoo. I want something seriously badazz...

I hope this is an OK place to post this. Wasn't sure if I should put it here, or in Graphics and Tech Talk. Please feel free to move this if need be.

(sigh) Just don't get a "Texan Bill" tattoo... I did and the muff-hugga got a haircut and lost weight. Now people have NO IDEA who the vugg it's supposed to be!...DAMN IT BILL!

Oh, there's no chance of that happening...trust me. I don't think my hubby would appreciate it. ;)
 
I'd get something like this and color it to look like Toro. Minus the wings and feathers and album title...even though it's a pretty good album.

I got mine in 2002, and thinking about getting another. If we win the AFC championship if will get done. Like you, just gotta find something special!

That's pretty cool...never thought about doing a skull...but I'm more a sci-fi girl, hence I'm partial to the robots. :)
 
Andrew6 has bad azz tatoo.

I am thinking about getting one also for the same reasons you mentioned, I kind of thought I would along the way, it would have to be just right though like you and SheTexan said. I guess I would get it on my arm? I have never had one though so I am on the fence.
 
If it's not the logo or at least the words "Houston Texans" in Texans font... its not really a Houston Texans tattoo. It takes a real commitment to permanently market our team.

I disagree. The robotic bull has been used on t-shirts and other marketing, IS the tunnel that the players run out of, and is used consistently on the jumbotron between plays. You know...this guy:

I feel it is just as recognizable a symbol of the team as the logo is, and a whole lot cooler looking. My problem is I just can't find many good pictures of it, which is why I'm out here asking if anyone has one.

Not to mention I'm putting it on MY body, so I'm the final judge of what is a true commitment or not.

That bull is badass. I didn't say you weren't committed. I'm saying stamping the monotonous, boring logo is. You want something a little cooler (btw... which is total awesomeness as well as Andrew6's tattoo)... but it is merely a version of the Texans adapted to your liking. You claim it to be as recognizable as the Texans logo... then how come you can't find good ones? Ya know? Truly marketing the Texans takes a real commitment.

I'm thinking good pictures are hard to find of it mainly because it is used more in the videos, and good screen caps of it are hard to come by. I know it's not the true logo, but honestly, if you saw that in a tattoo, wouldn't you know what it was, and what it represents?

Katie, you could always have Andy take a picture of Andy's (Andrew6) calf. I think he did something like what you are looking for.

I don't really care about whether average folks get it or not, and I don't mind explaining if they don't. I want what I get to be more a work of art, less corporate marketing. :)

I appreciate all the suggestions, but I'm pretty set on what I want...I'm really just looking for a picture. I found the intro on YouTube. I can probably pause it on a good shot, and take a screen capture. I plan to draw my own design, I just need a good reference to work from. :evil:

I gotcha!! I hear you and I have contemplated getting a Tatt to cover my ex on my left shoulder... It's just really hard to figure out what I want.

Decisions, decisions. :thinking:
 
I have the traditional logo on the outside of my left ankle. Can't wait to add some roman numerals to it :)

Yep!! Just ask Channel 13 for a pic! They seem to think it's pretty cool for an old grandma to have a TEXAN tat! They've taken pics of it twice. :photos: It's just the traditional logo, but, I like it. It would be much better except I had a horrific reaction to the red dye and had to have IV antibiotics. It took about 16 wks for the thing to heal, so it's pretty scarred. But, it just goes along with the nine years of hell we went through to get where we are today.

I want to have it redone, but, hesitant because of the dye thing. Someone told me they have a new "natural" red dye out that does not cause reactions. Anyone know anything about that? Thinking about adding lightning bolts, like they have at the beginning of the intro. LOVE that!!
It's on my right calf.
