AFC South Champs!

At least we don't have to hear that lame "This coming from a fan whose team has never made the playoffs." from every other team.

It seemed like whenever we did something right...some lame fan would bring that %$*@ up. I'm so glad I never have to hear that again.

I've been with this team since before we even had a team. I still wear the Texans hat I bought in 2001, the year before they started playing...which I can finally retire...I was there at the scrimmage against the Cowboys in 2002 and drove to Canton to see them play the Giants in their first preseason game. I was in the rafters when David Carr hit Billy Miller.

It's been a long time coming. Congratulations to everyone here, because we have stuck with them through the thin, the thick feels so good.

The Texans have made me cry more than a few times over the last ten years, but today I cried tears of joy. I'm so proud of this team...however this magical ride ends I will remember this team forever. Hopefully they have finally won the hearts of all of those skeptics in this city that were holding on to the memories of the Oilers. The Oilers are dead, long live the Texans!

AFC SOUTH CHAMPS!!!!!!

This has been a long time coming!!!

I will do my best to not cry like a pansy when AJ takes the field for our first playoff game!!! :)

(even if he is still injured, he needs to suit up a line up for the first down of our first playoff game.)

... GP, if I wasn't on my phone, I'd rep you for that.

And absolutely, positively the greatest move possible giving Andre the game ball.

In 2005 when we sat through that cluster**** of a 2-14 season this seemed like a dream that might not ever happen. Thank goodness it did. It feels extra sweet to be a Texan fan today !!

i had to hold back tears!!! i've been waiting for this moment for so long!!! best day of my life!!! AFC SOUTH CHAMPS!!!

Texans fans, we've earned this. We've stomached some pretty terrible football, in what was undoubtedly a terrible football town. We've been laughed at by Houstonians and outsiders alike and written off by every "expert" in the country. There were times when we felt disgusted and lost our patience, but we never lost sight of our dreams and never stopped believing that one day the Houston Texans would make us proud. Today is that day, this team earned it and we've earned. Hell of a job today, boys! Hell of a m'fing job.

Well, this probably belongs in the "what are you listening to right now" thread but the reason for listening to it is the name caught my eye while looking through amazon music.

After a listen don't think I like the song itself but the songs title sure does fit for my mood today.

Bulls on parade may get thumbs up and down, but I think we can all agree that the name of this song is quite fitting. "Hats Off To The Bull" - Chevelle

So excited that it has finally happened...we have been through the ringer this year and still come out on top...Bitter sweet for the Texans..

It may have taken us longer to get there than any of us would have liked, but we've got the nucleus for a good team for many years to come. Here's to a helluva season by this team and all the Texans fans who sat through it all.

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally!!! Over the years I have had my heart ripped from my chest and stomped on by the likes of Steve McNair, Peyton Manning, Vince Young, and a whole lot of other guys (some even Texans LOL). Today is a very sweet day for the players, the coaches, the fans, and the city of Houston. All of the tough times have made this moment that much more satisfying.

Go Texans!!!

Even the Colts are amazed by us, from Colts Freak:

I hope Jim Irsay takes note of this fact when assessing Fatwell and the Polian's at years end.

and people wonder why I'm a Kubiak/Smith fan......They might be boring at times, but they build balanced teams and have balanced play calling. People have given them so much undeserved **** over the years.

I celebrated this historic occasion with the Blue Crew and in the midst of the celebration all I could think was "Where the hell is Bill?"

I truly don't know what to say! My adrenaline rush subsided about an hour ago and I feel like I wanna pass out! Being with my TEXAN friends today sharing laughter, hugs, high fives, great football talk, and YES, tears of joy, has just made this a perfect day!! FINALLY, logging on to TT tonight and sharing this amazing accomplishment with all my TT family is just about more than this old grandma can take in one day!!

I'm signing off, gonna THANK THE MAN FOR TODAY, and go to bed!! LOVE ya all, and THANKS for being such great fans!!!

It's a great day for Texans fans - I'm so stoked for you guys that have been coughing up the money during the crappier days - to see a team come through like this, against adversity is just amazing to see. If the Texans were as photogenic as the Pats - the media would be in full on love fest mode, that the division could have been wrapped up so early, with so many guys injured.

I don't know how long this will continue (until February I hope!) - but for now, congrats to the players, the coaching staff, and mostly the long suffering guys who've been paying up in the hope of a maiden playoff berth.

Enjoy the hangover Houston!
