Coach Gary Kubiak knows his first-place Houston Texans have a long way to go before they can start thinking about their first AFC South title.

A few more stellar performances against divisional foes would get the Texans closer to that point, though they’ll have to once again make do without Andre Johnson on Sunday against the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars.

After dropping three of four, Houston (4-3) got back on track with a 41-7 rout at Tennessee last Sunday.

This time, the Texans will face a Jaguars team that just ended its longest losing streak in eight years. Jacksonville (2-5) snapped a five-game skid by holding Baltimore to 146 yards during a 12-7 victory Monday night.

Josh Scobee converted all four field goal attempts - three from more than 50 yards.

What I want to see today:

Remember what you did to the Jags last year in Houston? Yeah, that.

What I mean is: Destroy their run D. Foster, Tate, and the O-Line need to avoid a 2nd straight poor rushing effort at home. (More Foster/O-Line since Tate didn't see the field vs. OAK) The Texans need to what they are great at, running the football with reckless f'n abandon.

Make Blaine Gabbert completely and utterly frustrated.

Rookies stare down receivers, get happy feet when pressured and can make a ton of mistakes. They also can get hot if you let them. With that said, Wade and the boys should (and probably will) pressure the living you-know-what out of the 1st year man from Mizzou. Pick your spots and make Gabbert's life hell on Battle Red Day.

STOP. M. J. D.

I can't stress this enough. We don't need another 2009 JAX @ HOU game (Chris Brown won't be there, so I think we are safe from that particular standpoint). Jones-Drew is a certified gangsta, folks. Can't let him get loose and start doing the Harlem Shake or the Tyrone Biggums dance in our end zone. Stack the box and set the edges. Another key, however, is finishing tackles, as that bowling ball tends to knock people over.

Cut block the living hell out of Terrance Knighton.

I'd have something extra to say, but no one knows this bum ass scrub.

Oh snap...forgot...

ITS BATTLE RED DAY!!!!!! LETS F'N GO!!!!!

I want Cushing to beat the **** out of MJD.

Make sure you stop the BS trick Del Rio nonsense.

Get the run going. If not, use them in the pass game.

Take shots downfield. The Jags can't keep up.

Blitz the hell out of the rookie.

Play smart, and take care of the ball. no turnovers, no BS penalties.

We can make a big statement these next 2 weeks starting with this game. If we go out and beat both of these teams the way we should then I'll be extremely happy with this team. Let's put these guys away early like the Colts so I can get drunk and enjoy the 2nd half!!!

The Battle Red Baby Backs are done. Wearing my Battle Red #56 Cush jersey. Let's kick some kitties! :fans:

Jaguars D is better than Indy and Tenn's so I'm not quite expecting an insane beatdown by us, but I think it ends up being something like 27-13, 26-10.

Its nice being able to watch games and be just as excited watching the defense play as it is the offense. Especially Cush. Gonna be another blowout today.

My laptop is in the shop for like the next two weeks. I'm up at my wife's office, using her computer to set my fantasy football roster...

Thought I'd stop in and let you guys know I expect you to all be rooting HARD for the Texans.

I'll be watching the game at home, but can't participate in the thread.

How does a 5-month-old MacbookPro laptop die? Those kids in Apple's sweatshops are slippin'......reduce their pay from $0 to -$1, please.

The lord has forsaken me! My remote is ruined, I can't change channels on the cablebox...I am also out of beer and money! Pray for me and the Texans, fellow fans.

EDIT: Asketh and the lord will giveth! Blow dryed the remote, now functioning and in the process found a 10$ bill in the bathroom. Thank you lord. Now let's beat down the Faguars like we did the Taints.

Wow - only 19 in the game thread? Must be quite a few at the game today. Stadium / field looks good with the roof open.
