Fitzgerald wants a legitimate #2 WR

He hasn't been nearly the same player as he was when he had Boldin on the other side. Join the club buddy, AJ has NEVER had a true #2 that was worth a sh*t. He may have one now if he can get back healthy in Mason, but we'll see.

Larry wants Kolb! Cardinals get Kolb.

Larry wants a #2 WR! Cardinals will go WR in the first next year.

A tandem of Fitz and Blackmon would be stellar, but it must be weird having a player as GM.

Early Doucet has done pretty well for them the last few weeks & kolb seems to be most comfortbable with him...i don't get where this is coming from. They're main issue is that they can't protect Kolb....& they're defense is suspect too.

Not if he is getting things done. Hmm, anyone have AJ's cell number? Hey Andre want a tryout as Texans GM?

Welcome to Andre's World.

It makes you really appreciate how great AJ really is, especially when you consider who he had throwing him the ball in the first four years of his career. Just imagine how much more beastly he would be if he had an top ten QB throwing him the ball all those years.

Apparently Larry Fitzgerald misses Anquan Boldin, but has also forgotten that it was his salary demands that made it impossible to keep a player like Boldin or the ability to get another legitimate #2 WR to replace him.

The first time I saw Early Doucet, I thought they had an Anquan Boldin clone. Then they had Breaston. Easily the best three WRs in the league.

Doucet hasn't lived up to the memory of Bolden, then they let Breaston go...... & they bring in Kolb.

I don't know if paying Fitzgerald prevented them from keeping Bolden. Who else are they paying? Kolb? Levi Brown? Dockett? Not a lot of big money guys in 'zona.

They lost a lot of players from the Super Bowl team. Warner was making some serious money at the time (12 mill I think). Boldin was getting a good amount, Dansby got paid by the Dolphins, Antrelle Rolle went to the Giants, Antonio Smith went to the Texans. Now Breaston, DRC and Tim Hightower are gone. Lots of turnover in that team in the last 3 years, mostly due to them not wanting to pay players. They have a relatively low cap number ~97.8 million this year. It's a shame for them too, because their Super Bowl team was legit.

Andre as GM couldn't possibly be any worse than no playoffs after 10 seasons, unfortunately

Unfortunately for the Texans, they had Charlie Casserly here for awhile. Growing up in the D.C. area I was able to watch Casserly do his thing with the Redskins, so I was miffed when Houston hired him. I didn't think he would get another GM job, because he sucked in D.C.

Yeah wasn't he the one demanding a bigger contract? Pushed his runnin buddy out. That team really did fall apart. Can you imagine if Fitzgerald were across from Andre? There wouldn't be any stopping that. Play after play. 10 yard to Fitz. 12 to AJ. 16 yarder over the middle to Fitz. Screen to Andre that rolls for 8. Fitz on a bomb for 40 and a score...next drive. 10 yard curl to AJ. Fitz over the iddle for 20. 5 yard run by Foster, "just to keep them honest".......Fitz for 8...

It would just be a battle to see who would drop one first. Instead of knowing that it's gonna be Jacoby lol

u know if some of these players really want to win go the miami heat way

play for only 1 million per year :P

They will find a WR next yr.

But their OL is terrible too.

They also need to find another coach. I think Whisenhunt (sp?) has worked all the magic that he can there, and the Cards need a breath of fresh air. Hmmmm, maybe Kubes! :chickendance: After all, 8-8 would be a welcome there since they seem to be back to their losing ways. Sure, they captured lightning in a bottle with Warner, but that is in their rearview much like the days with Jim Hart.

Wow, curiosity made me look (since I even surprised myself that I remember Hart). The Cardinals were 10-6 in 2009, prior to that when was the last time the Cards won 10 or more games in a season?

The answer: 1976, and Jim Hart was the QB! In fact, they won 10+ in '74, '75 and '76; but prior to that it was 1948! And while some of you may point out the League went to 16 games in 1978, there are plenty of teams that won 10+ games when playing the 14 game schedule. Shoot, my Raiders have done it 18 times since 1960, with 9 of those times coming with a 14 game schedule. I guess some teams like the Cards just have bad ownership and can't get the right coaches or players.

Just curious, I read that T Owens is looking for a job, (I don't think his personality is a fit) but with Andre out for weeks wouldn't he be an asset if he's healthy now??? jus askin!

Nope, TO and Ochocinco drove Carson Palmer nuts in Cincy; one of the reasons he wanted out of there! Fact is, TO isn't always the best route runner, and then you have to deal with his attitude. Though two of my former neighbors were sports agents and TO would come by from time as they were also friends of his. I never got to meet him, though I did meet Robert Horry, but one of them was telling me he didn't know what was up with TO because he wasn't like you see him on TV in real life. Said TO would put on a show in front of the cameras to give them entertainment value; I believe this was about the time he was having his rant when he was with the Eagles.

Anyway, great guy or not, I wouldn't want him on my team anymore than I would want Randy Moss.

I'm with you on that. I think Owens would be an asset to the Texans but then again I thought they should have picked up Ocho-Cinco and Burgess when they had the chance.
