About 3 hours away from Injury update

Consider me scared ******less.

We need Andre to make the playoffs this year.

It was highly encouraging to see the big guy on the sidelines smiling and even moving around a bit.

One of the highlights of the game for me was seeing him celebrating 10 yards on the field on the called back Joseph interception td return.

And just to add, I know that their is that most jacked players list. Is Andre in the top 5. That guy is huge!

I know I'm being Captain Obvious, but I think this team can make due without Johnson for a couple weeks, if they have to. I would rather keep him out a week (or whatever he needs to be healthy) than to rush him back and lose him for season and/or playoffs.

Agreed, but a couple weeks is all we can afford. We need the big guy. Prepare to see more two tight end sets via New England offense. Luckily we have a stud RB. Good thing though is that the offense will be more about the slant/quick throws. Schaub will be taking less hits.

I wouldn't go *that* far. Yes, a few weeks without AJ will hurt. But the running game and the defense are good enough this year that the Texans no longer need to win games by aerial shootout (the type that would be really hard to win without AJ).

For sure we're better with AJ in there. But I think he has more of a "supporting cast" now than ever in his Texans career.

Yea I agree. Luckily this team does have a great RB and very solid depth (if healthy) at the RB position. Team also has 3 above average playmaking TE (including Casey). Obviously the loss of AJ (no matter how long he is out) is a big loss but this offense still have weapons and hopefully a player like Jacoby or Walter or even Bryant Johnson can step up while he is out and make some plays

AJ may sit next week against Oakland, but I don't see how he could sit out the game against Innegan...

If we beat Baltimore this team will have crazy momentum going in to Tennessee.

Yeah, that's true. We'll also be an enormous target and Tennessee is going to bring their best effort. I'm not saying we can't beat them because we can, no doubt about it. I'm just saying that if we do somehow beat both the Raiders and then the Ravens and go to Possum Holler with a 6-1 record then........ wait for it........ We're gonna "be their Super Bowl".

That game will have a playoff feel to it, particularly if they keep rolling too. The Texans will have their hands full. I'm hoping Pittsburgh does a back-against-the-wall gut-check and turns in an awesome defensive performance against the Teets this coming week. It would be good for us if their momentum took a hit between now and then.

Is it ok to lose to the Raiders, the Ravens, & the Titans without Andre?

Of course it's not "ok" to lose, let alone three in a row. But it would still be premature to write off the season. 3-4 isn't insurmountable and you'd still have 4 games left in divisional play.

It would, however, make just about every divisional game a must-win from that point forward.

But I think the point was that no AJ for 3 games might not be as devastating as having him constantly aggravating the injury for the rest of the season.

No. If the players currently on the roster can't get it done, you gotta go hit the streets and find someone tired of selling life insurance.

As far as I am concerned, the "We didn't have AJ" excuse will not acceptable for missing the playoffs. Next man up.

Jacoby Jones has had enough time in this scheme AND got paid recently.

I hope Kubiak has a player who can step up there because if he can't then thats on Kubes and the FO.

Obviously, Jacoby, Walter, Daniels and Casey are all going to have to step it up.

I would start off the Raider game with play-actions and get our receivers involved as early as possible to set the tone and let other teams know we can still throw the ball. Otherwise, they will stack it up against Foster and Tate.

There's been speculation that Big Ben may be out for the game. I don't see the Steelers winning without him.

No, Yes, No.

No, Yes, No.

I don't see them winning with him either. The Titans have been able to pressure opposing QBs just as much as we have and that Steelers offensive like is really offensive. Big Ben should sue them for assault.
