Has Brandon Carr or Brent Grimes signed with anyone yet?

I think the Texans are still working to make this a special off-season, I think they still have their eyes on another starting CB... at least I would. So far, we've got a play-off team, not a Super Bowl team. & try to remember, there were rumors about Bob demanding two FA Corner Backs.

& Yes, with our offense, Wade Phillips, our latest draft, & the two secondary pieces we just landed I truly believe we are one starting corner away from a Super Bowl team.

Those two are the ones I want & would be extremely excited if we land, especially Grimes.

But I would still be happy if we end up with Cromartie or Clements who aren't available yet.

Grimes is a RFA - If he signs with a team other than Atlanta, it will cost that team two first round picks in addition to the money. Highly doubtful he goes anywhere. Pretty much zero chance he goes to the Texans.

Carr is in the exact same situation with the Chiefs except that he would only cost one first round pick.

If you want another CB, take a look at Chris Carr. A solid starting CB around the same age as Joseph. Would be a great #2 CB. Could also look at Clements or a Cromartie.

If you want to drop the rung lower look at Carlos Rogers.

Anyone else out there is no upgrade over Allen.

Thank you Champion Texan. Those guys are scratched from my list.

Doppleganger, I just never cared for Chris Carr. I wouldn't mind Clements or Cromartie.

If Wade likes Chris Carr, of course I would be fine with that... so, you know.

Clements would be a solid upgrade, but he will cost too much. He won't be Joseph expensive, but he could very easily be 7-8 mil/year.

We have enough secondary players now, we really need to focus on getting Leach or another linebacker or a decent nose tackle. The best secondary in the world is worthless if the front 7 can't put pressure on the QB.

Hoping that Mario is harping for his college running-buddy Manny Lawson, OLB from the 49ers.

He's never panned out as a starter, but could be a good depth/pass rush specialist

Carlos Rogers.

Shouldn't cost a lot and is still a good corner. He's an older guy so you don't have to sign him to a long contract.

Plus you could still rotate the younger guys in there.

Manny Lawson is awful.

I'd much rather focus on re-signing mark Anderson who is a much better pass rush specialist.
