Looks like total. The website doesn't have his net average. 40 yards won't cut it in the NFL.

If his kickoffs are good as they look like they are, id give up a couple yards per punt for automatic touchbacks.

Turk wasnt very good last season .... and he's , **** he's older than me by a month. Can he really hold the job for another year ?!

I like it if for nothing other than competition to see if he can beat out Turk who likely costs considerably more (there's cap savings if he sticks)

You also have to account for special teams on punts. He played for Central Michigan, he probably couldn't afford to boot it farther than 40 yards due to the punt coverage haha

It's hard to judge based on the numbers alone, though. Maybe his team punted from the 40 a lot and he lost yards because the field was short. I haven't watched a single game of his. It's not like he costs the team anything. He's an undrafted free agent. Turk isn't under contract and teams can have 90 in training camp. This won't affect the Texans ability or non-ability to get Aso or another CB.
