I know these teams are good NOW but they haven't always been. We havent been this bad in our short history. Not to mention think of how long these teams have been around vs the number of superbowl victories they have. Sounds like we're on pace to me :texanbill:.

Regardless of how one feels about where the Texans are going, it's nice to see that we're not in completely uncharted dead waters. We all need to see something that gives us hope now and again.

I find this stretch of games a little eerie.

The Saints went 20 years without a winning record, much less a playoff berth.

For some reason, that is not a comforting thought.

No, it's not. I'm 60 in May, and I better damn see a Super Bowl with a Houston team in it before I go to the great spaceship in the sky. If I don't, the nurses at my death bed will be listening to a long string of rather horrible cursing.

They will hear your cursing anyway.

The Jags were pretty succesful early on as well, but they changed the Expansion rules after the Panthers and Jags had all that early success. Then Carolina f'ed us Tony B!!!!

The Texans win Super Bowl LXV.

Thorn, in the initial stages of dementia, has significant short term memory loss. His nurse shows up every day with a recording of the Super Bowl victory and Thorn gets to watch the game, without remembering he just saw it the day before. He lives another 10 years and sees 3000+ Texan Superbowl wins, each as fulfilling as the last.

Carolina didn't screw us. The Texans have screwed themselves.

While it is true that the rules are different since the Jag/Panther merger. The rules with FA and stuff allow for a quality team to be put together within a decade.

Unlike the expansion rules Tampa Bay were under. (Which were much harder to build a team under) BTW, Tampa Bay made the NFC championship game within 5 yrs of becoming an expansion franchise.

There should be no excuses for the Texans at this point. However I'm sure TK will be able to come up with a few.

I'm in, let's win one for Thorn..... I think it would be a great campaign. Give us something to root for, since some of us are having trouble getting behind Bob.

By the way Thorn...... sure you ain't headed to that great submarine under the sea?

just sayin

Where does that come from?

I think he's implying I'm headed downstairs in the afterlife, not upstairs. LOL

Hard to argue with TK on this one bro, I mean, he's usually pretty optimistic, in fact, I've never seen a negative posting by him until this one... shall I get Billy Graham on the phone for ya so we can attempt to change your future? :)

That was Jacksonville that did that and it was Texans FO that made the decision to take TB in order to get Seth Payne and Gary Walker...
