Titans: I love it. They are playing to draft a top QB

Blake

MMQB
They arent even trying.

They are looking towards the 2011 draft and playing to get Luck, Locker, Mallett.

Pathetic.

Will Bud allows the team to draft a QB? He loves inVINCEable

As long as Bud is alive VY isn't going anywhere. It's too personal for him. To him he has stolen Houston's hero and he is "puttin' it to Houston" as long as VY is on the roster.

Chances are Fisher will be gone first.

I agree!

I hope not. Newton is going to do great things in the NFL. Don't want him in our division.

I was kinda being facetious, but I would not put it past Fud, and it would not be a bad move for them.

Is it just me or when i seen newton his he like 8 feet tall or our is linemen just short ???? This dude is built like a RB or DE or something

I bet the Titans end up with Jake Locker, which is fine with me because I think he's highly overrated. If they get Andrew Luck then we're ****ed...

If Philly doesnt slap him silly with a huge contract extension.
I think it's going to be interesting as to what happens with Vick. He's on his final strike and it's going to be interesting in who rolls the dice on that one with a mega contract. I just don't think the Eagles would get into a bidding war for him.

It's going to be interestong. I love watching Michael Vick play. Always have.

You have to admit this whole VY thing is a bizarre. Then again consider the source.

Do you think Vince is intelligent enough to know the real reason why Bud is clinging to him? Has Bud ever been loyal to any other player? Remember how "loyal" he was to Earl Campbell, Warren Moon, Steve McNair?

:spit:

Oh Man, this is going to suck if this happens. I will no longer be able to support Kevin Kolb.

Again now you know how I feel about Vince. At least you won't have a bunch of Kolb fanboys in Houston hatin' on the Texans for not drafting him and emailing the local station to show the Titans every week.

First off, nobody takes anything Gary Cobb says seriously in Philly.
All that is really known about Kolb is that the Browns made an offer before the trade deadline.
The Eagles love Kolb, he is signed and it is not a sure thing that they will move him at all.
If they resign Vick, and there is a very good chance of that as Vick feels love toward the Eagles for being the only team willing to take a chance on him, everybody feels they would move Kolb. But keep in mind that if something happens to Vick, why not keep a guy who knows the system in and out, was named the starter, is a total team player, and is liked and respected by his teamates?

Because all quarterbacks are the same. What did they say about McNabb and Vick coming into the league?

Speaking of, who was the last dual threat QB to win a title? I have no idea. Hasnt been one in the past 20 years at least.

Why do people keep kidding themselves? A pocket passer who can slide to avoid the rush is going to get the ring. Not a QB who breaks the pocket 15 times a game and gets his clock cleaned a time or 2.

I remember when these "prototype" QBs were said to be the future of the NFL, that the old pocket passers would become a thing of the past, the new running QBs would revolutionize the sport and new rules would have to be written because they were unstoppable...

Well, that was a decade ago, and since then, look at the QBs winning the Super Bowl. Brady, Manning brothers, Brees, Roethlisberger, Johnson, Dilfer...NONE of them are running QBs and ALL of them classic pocket passers.

I don't put a lot of stock into what talking heads say these days. I take it for what it's meant to be: entertainment purposes only. If they could forecast trends, then they'd be in a FO making big money. But instead, they just chomp on the newest thing like it's the newest reinvention of the wheel, but in fact, they know about as much as the collective braintrust as any given NFL forum.

It's starting to look like Michael Vick will become the 1st
"Running Quarterback" (possible euphemism, but I'll let it go) to
win the Superbowl. He already had the tools and talent, but
he now has the all elusive give-a-damn to get it done. Should
Vick win the Superbowl, look for Cam Newton to go #1 overall.

The Eagles are not going to the SB much more winning it. I am hoping the Cowboys can beat them at least once in their upcoming 2 meetings. The Giants should have beaten them in Philly had not Eli coughed up the ball trying to gain that extra yard. Their defense played Vick real well in that game. I think they can beat the Eagles at the Meadowlands in a couple of weeks.

Quite a leap Dex. 8-4 with losses to the Redskins and Titans and you think Vick will win the superbowl. Interesting.

Man THe titans got have some Pride THere playing at home with there home crowd DIvison game with the colts

i hope they come out this week spitting lighting shittin THunder

Surely you remember Norg. Do you need a translation?

Mmm, I THINK he said the Titans need to act like proffesionals and defend their home field against a hated division opponent. And they have diaherra. something like that.

I have no doubt they will throw tomorrow night's game. None whatsoever. Remember they hate the Texans almost as much as we hate them. They are sure to giggle at being the final catalyst for dashing our diminished playoff hopes.

That's pretty damn close!

Mark my words - The Titans won't show up tomorrow but it won't matter. Once the opening kickoff is out of the way my team will continue to show to the world that they don't give a **** about each other and won't play hard for Fisher. Its a fait accompli.

First of all, I don't care how many TDs or how big Cam Newton is, if Luck turns pro, he's #1. Period. If I'm Carolina, Buffalo etc. there is no debate. None. Last kid from Stanford that had these kind of tools was a decent QB, ask any Bronco fan.

2nd, the Titans will NEVER give up a 1st and 3rd for Kolb. They cling to their draft picks bigtime and rarely make a splash draft-trade. Hell VY fell into their laps when they sat still - only time they parlayed a first round pick into a player trade-wise that I can recall is Kevin Carter.

3rd - Fisher will be gone - I smell a mutual parting of the ways after this season and an arrangement for some sort of compensation from his new employer, the Dallas Cowboys.

4th - VY will not be back as a Titan - Buck Fud may have a hard-on for the kid but even he will come to his senses. I could see a Mallett or Newton drafted, but no way on Locker.

IIRC, Dungy's Colts LAID down for the Titans in the final reg season game a few years ago. And that lay down gave the Titans a playoff spot.

Watching Dungy with that huge smile on his face, meeting Fisher at midfield after the game, and Fisher and Dungy embracing and sharing some quality time with one another out there...

Well, you are exactly RIGHT. They are friendly to each other.

All the AFC South hates the Texans. What did we ever do to them? We give away games to them all the time. I don't understand the hatred for us.
