Autograph signings at Texans Store cancelled

You guys get some of your kids together, and have them put on some Texans jerseys.

Go down to that store, with the kids.

Set up a small folding table and a few chairs behind it.

Get the kids to sit in those chairs, with pens in their hands, and put up a poster board on the front of the table that says "Texans Players Autographs."

Find a kid with thick hair, poof it up and make it look like Kubiak's and have him standing there with a Denny's menu and just staring at it the whole time.

Record it and send it up to YouTube and inform the various blogs, radio sports show hosts, and the staff at the Chronicle know that the Texans still went ahead and had their autograph session.

We need to embarass Kubiak and his players. We need Operation Shame 'Em All to go down. Pay the kids $5 each and take them to Chuck E Cheese as a reward for helping the Texans get back on the winning track.

GP, no offense, but you say the strangest things.

Operation Chaos.

I see a lot of people on here, people I know who live in the Houston area, and yet I see no real action.

I see suggestions of un-subscribing to an email list. Pfft...no.

You gotta' do a whole series of things. Bags on the head (at games), stunts like I just described. Call in to radio shows and rant. Call into Kubiak's own radio show and fake it with a phony intro (to the call screener) and then BAM! just put out a quick, one-sentence "hit" that makes people cringe and makes Kubiak just stumble and stammer in trying to respond.

I see the same dedication to mediocrity, on here, that I see in the franchise's leadership/ownership/management. Get out there and DO something. Gary is on the ropes. A grassroots movement, and several small wildfires started by like-minded people will make a difference.

Otherwise, cancel your email subscription and see what happens. Gripe on this board and see what happens. It won't do any good.

You have to do things that people will see. And when something sticks, and it goes viral, that's when a guy like McNair starts breathing into a paper bag. When he sees the revolt. When he gets tuned into the P.R. mess out there, well...that's when he pays attention.

You guys cancel your email subscriptions. Have at it.

No offense to CND, who suggested it. I'm just sayin....

Look at how the Lions got rid of Millen. It took a year or two of shaming the guy and staging protests at games, but it worked. The TV camera exposes it all. TV is powerful. Ask Jim Carrey, when he played The Riddler.

I think this boils down to one of two things, maybe a bit of both:

1. Some are thinking Kubiak will turn it around. So you don't want to be known as "The guy who tried to shame Kubiak and ended up looking like a hoser"

2. Some think nothing will matter and McNair will continue with Kubiak no matter what.

Either way, there's paralysis by analysis.

This season is lost. Any future seasons with Kubiak and his team of goof-ups is lost. The longer we have him, the longer we wait for change. The longer we wait for change, the longer we prolong the risk of going with a new regime. The next guy might be worse. So what?!?! He might be great, by contrast. The point is that THIS guy is toast and the toaster oven isn't shutting off. It's going to burn the house down. Explain that to your kids, when they wake up in a Red Cross shelter on Christmas morning because daddy knowingly left the malfunctioning toaster oven on all night.

Throw the toaster oven out. Shame it. Cuss it. Post a video of it.

GP, I think there are a lot of other things where an organized effort from the masses can be a lot more beneficial.

I get what you are saying. I just think that if I was put in that much effort into something I'd rather do it for something that actually matters beyond Sunday's in the fall and winter.

Huh? They don't do them after away games?

Or do you mean for the rest of the year?

That's called taking the red pill. I suggest you take one, too...for your sanity.

Reality: It's what's for dinner.

Seriously, man. Billionaire Bob could give a rat's ass about our opinions as long as those corporate seats keep getting bought up at Reliant.

Who knows - Lindsay called me to tell me and I said the same thing to her, I am pretty sure they are only after home games.

BUT Diles and Quin are not doing Verizon tomorrow, according to the website it is Schuab :( Booo. (look - an autograph hit list is still a list, lol)

A sign that we're circling the drain. The team won't even let players appear in public. Bad, bad, bad...

Well, Kareem fell down, so did McCain. Pollard was on his way, but then let it get behind him. Wilson was looking the wrong way and they ran past em. Cushing and Brown had to "over train". Walter was on his way, but vanished for three games. Amobi couldn't come, cause it was past his bed time. Antonio Smith was gonna show up, but he was afraid of the yellow lot. JJ dropped his keys. Schaub is on his way, but he is too slow. Diles was at Wal Mart when he got the call, but the stock boy beat him to his car. Winston was actually there, but the fans just ran by him. Moulden was gonna step up, but pulled a hammy. Foster was ready to step up and be a leader, but Kubiak decided to take it out of his hands. Quinn didn't feel well, so he batted it to Dreesen, but he fumbled his keys.

Don't worry guys, I'll show up and sign autographs as your favorite Texans Talk poster. You don't have to thank me-- it's all part of the team's high character culture.

Heard that the Vikings fans had a chant to fire their coach that they did at the games.
I guess it finally worked.
