Time to send Texans a message: fly a "Fire Kubiak" banner against Ravens on MNF

McNair needs to be shaken awake to see the fans have had it. Embarrass him and the team when we have the national stage. The roof will be open I am sure that night. Let's gather money to fly a banner over the stadium.

what if we win the next 3 and get to 7-5 then what we get all sad and not show up for MNF

wow i just looked at the texans schedule for the rest of the year and holy moly.. its gonnaaa be tough. im not expecting playoffs this year but im almost scared we might not win another game this year

I've been calling for a Detriot Lions' fan "FIREEE MILLENNN..clap, clap, clapclapclap...FIREE MILLLENN"-esque chant for Kubes for quite sometime now. If it actually happens, that would be great, McNair will have no choice but atleast acknowledge it

what good will that do?

And, shouldn't this be merged into the "fire Kubiak" thread...???....

I don't care :) I would laugh my ass off if that happened. Maybe we can do what Raider fans did and put up a billboard.

We should start a pay pal account for this.....I'd put in some money.

Yeah, but, come on. This schedule is not new. I damn near crapped a brick when it was announced 8 months ago. We knew this schedule was brutal.

You will send more of a message if people don't go to the game.

The Titans game is going to be packed whether or not Texans show up or stay home. Oh it's going to be awesome watching the "prodigal son" destroy our defense. Good times I tell you....good times. That alone might get Kubiak fired, the real backlash hasn't even begun.

First person to hold up a "FIRE KUBIAK" sign at a Dynamo/Rockets/Astros game wins... something.

True, but the koolaid klub told us we were crazy and the schedule wasn't as hard as it appeared.

Ans by golly our team was going to be great. Remember the 13-3,12-4 11-5 predictions. That koolaid shooo was mm mm good.

Realism must stink.

7-9 if they're lucky.

Posted this in CF. If you really want McNair to know how fed up we are with his piece of ******* of a team:

McNair might or might not have gotten the messages by now. So why don't you hammer it into him, and make his decisions that he might make in the off-season, a guarantee that he will?

Don't be cheap now, don't be lazy. Greet him outside the Texans HQ with rallies. Send him letters letting him know how poor we think his product is. Let the whole city, who doesn't follow sports, know that the team that represent their city is a POS. Let the whole nation know. Embarrass this guy in MNF, on national tv. Embarrass his ass in front of his butt buddy, George Bush. Do it so that Bush declines to show up to another game this season, and potentially the following seasons.

I'm sick of the traditional, tank it mid-way through the season, "who do you have on your draft boards" talks at the end of October. This is absolute bullshit how we're seeing the same **** 9 years and counting. Enough is enough.

Now is the time to "show" how much we really love our team.

I don't live in Houston, but I'll be glad to donate some money for billboards or whatever you guys come up with, if you guys decide to do anything.

I don't forsee something that results in cost happening. I also don't see people not going to a game (especially if tickets have been paid for already). A "statement" may not make it stadium wide, but agreed upon in the bull pen would be noticable. If it spreads to the stadium, even more impressive.

- maybe a blackout (everyone wears black)
- everyone turns their back during kickoffs
- leave after halftime (most leave mid-4th, what's another 20 minutes of game time?)

The other board I frequent, shaggybevo.com organized a banner flyover saying "Greg Davis is not our standard". I'll ask the organizer about the cost and any roadblocks. A billboard might be an even better idea.

The banner that flew during the UT game was for a day game. I don't know if you can even see a banner at night. Need to get some details.

If I may speak for the koolaid club, I believe what was said, was that you never know from year to year.

This won't help anything. There are other factors that will get Kubiak fired that don't make his job harder.

McNair needs to know that Texans fans have had it with this joke of a coach and more than 8 years of bad to mediocre at best football. He needs to understand that he can't pull the same con job he has the past few years.

I wouldn't call Kubiak a TOTAL failure (remember 2-14?) but if we lose three more games I'm going to think about what color soap I want for my avatar.

On another note: Ah geez, Houston's gotta go through another Monday Night Football? Doesn't that violate some part of the Geneva Convention?

True - he was an improvement. However, IMHO 9-7 was as far as he'll go here.

Who would even notice a banner flying around the stadium?

There is already an "ALL ENCOMPASSING FIRE KUBIAK" thread on this board already, right?

So what gives, moderators?? What do the words "all encompassing" mean again?

McNair knows. Kubiak will be fired. No one needs fans acting like children over it.

This is a recording. This is only a recording. If this were an actual forum emergency, virtual knives would be handed out so that we may cut each others virtual throats.

I don't know. Flying banners seems childish. But, McNair needs to know how fans feel about the current situation. At this point, this is more about McNair than Kubiak. McNair is not going anywhere. He has to become a better owner, and that starts with a more aggressive approach. Firing Kubiak has to be a forgone conclusion. Maybe a "Hire Cowher" or your preferred next coach, would be more beneficial.

So what gives? Are you going to post this in every thread?:kubepalm:

In every 'fire Kubiak' thread that's not in the "all encompassing" . . . Hell yeah!

I've been here since Day One. I remember how crazy it got with everyone coming up with there own little unique "Fire Capers" threads, and there own little unique 'Carr sucks" threads, until thats all you could see on the board.

You don't need a thousand and one threads talking about the same thing.

This is why the "all encompassing" threads were created.

FYI - this isn't a Fire Kubiak thread, its a get the message to Bob thread.

Having said that, coming from a financial background and knowing Bob is a business background, I'd love to see everybody stay in the parking lot for a quarter, then come inside. Trust me, those little scanners at the front gate will let Bob know what's going on.

Since that scenerio is a pipe dream and will never happen, I recommend you BOO. Bob will hear it.

We (jwarren) tried to get a billboard organized last year but Kubiak got an extension in the middle of all the discussion. After that all the koolaid drinkers were singing loudly on here to put up the soap for good because Kubiak is staying. What a wasted year this has turned out to be.

That's a great idea, too. But by the time MNF game rolls around, there will be plenty of people who stay out of their seat for the entire game. I have a fear that this is about to get 2005 ugly.

u know the is a chance that the ravens could be

7-5 if they lose to Tampa and the steelers and we have a payer answerd and win our next 3 and we get to 7-5

Ravens 7-5 vs Texans 7-5

winner has a better chance at getting a wc spot

Just saying even if we have just 6 wins and ravens 7 we could still leap frog them if we win

That would be an embarrassment to the Texans, the same way that stupid stunt was an embarrassment to Texas.

We wouldn't have to wait until MNF, the Titans are here in 2 weeks. Of course, a lot of Texans fans could be staying home by then too, which means Titans fans will be all around me (I hate PSLs).

And, I agree, this is about to get ugly.
