Sad News: Blazing Arrow has passed away!!

My post I quoted shows up as this on the page for some reason:

"I salute you Belicheck. You evil, evil bastard."

Yeah, it's been happening with other threads so I wouldn't worry about it. Kevin knows about it. :)

EDIT: Given the nature of your post on this, of all threads I would've come back and explained too...lol.

My first post here in so so long.

Very sad news, I have posted my condolences at Coltfreaks and will do it here now also.

Such sad news, It's great to check out the gotitans and also this board and see all the good posts about BA.

I have set-up and run a Coltfreaks Fantasy League through Yahoo the past 8 years, BA has been a member the past 3 years and believe it or not I was up against him this weekend. Before I found out the tragic news I was wondering how odd it was that he had not edited his line-up, I then found out his last visit to CF's was on the 2nd of September, 13 days before he passed away.

RIP BLAZING ARROW

The little **** will be missed. I kinda figured something was up. Life's so short. Live, love, laugh. Condolences to his family and friends.

RIP fellow football fan.

It was actually a friend of a friend who spoke with his Mrs.

He mostly visited this board to poke fun at your misfortunes. Sometimes it was a tough crowd but I think he won a few of you over.

:)

He definitely won some of us over. RIP. Sad to have lost him. Please pass our condolences along.

This is sad news. I liked sparring with him. He seemed like a good guy and he was paasionate about his team.

I think he would've been blown away by the outpouring at Texans Talk. It says a lot about him as a person, as well as the quality of members here.

It sucked to watch us lose last night, but with this heavy news on my heart, it was only a game.

Great perspective, DB!

RIP Kian (AKA Blazing Sparrow / Blazing Arrow) - we will miss the smack talk. My prayers go out to your wife and daughter. 33 is far too young to leave this world.

Real sad news. Prayers out to his family, I hope they can take comfort from the support of so many people.

Hopefully he has Sunday Ticket up there to keep on watching.

I just can't get over a massive heart attack at 33. That's terrible.

Man I remember him being our number 1 adversary in the smack forum. He always had a bassackwards view on things, but never backed down from an argument.

Those days go waaaaaaay back, before the big merger.

I don't recall any of his posts but I am so sorry to hear of his death. My prayers to God to comfort his family. Everyone take a moment to realize this could be any of us. Hug a loved one, smell a flower and gaze at a sunset. Realize that any bad day is a blessing and is not usually as bad as we think.

You know I think that finding out about Blazing Sparro -er - Arrow (I would find it funny if I were him) is the reason I am not really upset about the loss last nigh b/c there are more important things in this world, like my 5 year old daughter.

Sorry to hear that .

He and I talked about The San Jose Ca. area when we went out there . I asked him about the San Jose Giants and told him I wanted to watch a game . He said it was a blast and a great atmosphere and he went all the time .

I agree. As my son sat in my lap (not much room in that easy chair as there was when he was a 3 yo!) and I kissed my baby girl for the night, I thought those same thoughts.

Every day is a gift. Every hug I get from my children more valuable to me than any material possession or event. It sounds like a Hallmark card, but I honestly feel this way.

RIP BA. My thoughts and prayers go towards your family.

One of the best opposing team posters to ever show up here, he will be missed.

I saw your post there....Shocking at 33 too! My prayers to his family/friends

I went ahead and let the Jag fans know, since He used to post over there pretty frequently...

This is extremely sad, at the age of 33 you still have your whole life ahead of you. That's way too young and not too much older than I am now.

.

I was just informed by ChildressTitanFan (a friend from another message board) that Blazing Arrow suffered a heart attack. His wife informed someone that share with Childress.... He was only 33 y/o.... RIP my brother.

Thoughts and prayers to his wife and entire family!!

I'm sad and shocked. I always enjoyed reading his posts.

Unbelievable. Life is short enough, yours was way too short. See ya, Flaming Sparrow!

I'm still trippin on how YOUNG he was. Seriously when a guy my age dies it's sad, but when a guy BARELY in his 30s passes away from something like this it's a tragedy. He's needed in here just like the No Spin Zone wouldn't be the same without Porky, Redzone, Axeman or Illini-Jeni

that's how I felt when I got home from watching the game at Pub Fiction last night....the high point of the evening was getting a hug from my little girl and putting her to bed.

Yes... Are we kidding ourselves???? Just because Blazing Arrow gave us Texans fans a hard time should we not celebrate his ("****ing life with us") life!!! RIP Kian!! You left us way too young!!!! RIP Kian!!!!!!!!!!

Who would have thought that Blazing Arrow would have sparked such careful reflection? Crazy stuff....

God bless you, BA, and your family especially! May the good Lord watch over your family until you are all reunited.....

My heart goes out to his family; especially his mom and grandma. I don't care the age, I doubt there's any worse feeling than what they are going through.

I try to carry that attitude daily. Life is short, and much too short to dwell in negativity.

BA and I had many heated go-arounds in the Smack Forum, but because we all know that that particular forum is all about smack (or at least we're all supposed to know that), nothing was ever personal. Outside of that forum, he proved to be a nice guy and we got along with no problem.

It does make you realize, though, that we do form bonds with 'anonymous' internet friends, and sometimes I wonder about folks that disappear from these boards and how they are doing. *cough*Vinny*cough*

Amen.

That attitude of valuing your time with your children is critical but not many people have it. Even those of us who do often lose focus because of life's demands. A situation like BA's, though, serves as a sobering reminder that every minute is valuable.

I think BA was the first person to ever bait me into going off on a tirade. He and pOpeYe (or something like that... another troll).

I just hate it for his wife and daughter.

Well said.

I have often used Blazing Arrow and Bulluck as examples of how visiting fans should behave and can be appreciated.

we should put a top ten Blazing Arrow smack down sessions with us or at least vs Texan Bill..those made my days on here sometimes..funny as heck

Sucks that Arrow is gone. He was alright with me. His smack talk was funny at times.

How does anyone know that he died?

Man, we had some doozies. Shaft did too. That said and given the fact that Childress PM'd me to give me the news and ask that I post something, I would rather not..

People may not know, but Arrow was a member of TT going back before the big merger with the official dot com software.

Heart attack at 33? Man, that's scary. One of my best friends died of a heart attack when we were both like 22. It was later found out that he had a heart problem. Never understood those kind of deaths man. Not at young ages like that.

Does anyone know of the proper type of check up to make sure that you don't have certain heart problems to where you can take measures to prevent stuff like this?

Find a good cardiologist and see him every year. Every 6 months if there is any history of heart disease in your family.

We as men, need to quit being the guys that we are. We tend to stay away from doctors. We have a hard time going to hospitals (even if to visit a close friend that suffered a major stroke).... BUT You have to. I've made it a point to at the very least, get a yearly check up, including blood work, a chest x-ray and an EKG (I think it is... the one where they put like 13 probes or whatever all over your body)...

It was this process that encouraged me about 16 or 17 months ago, to drop around 48 pounds. My cholesterol was out of whack. My Triglycerides were over 600 (they're supposed to be under 150) and my blood pressure was hovering around "pre-hypertension"...

Since then, like I said, I lost 48 pounds. My BP is in check (although it spikes at times), Triglycerides are waaaaay down. Not where they should be, but I cut that 6+ in half and finally cholesterol is down to 159......

Sorry for the long, drawn out BS......... BOTTOM LINE. Get checked out regularly!!!
