Gary Kubiak: "It's on me."

Where do I get me one of those pinky soap thingy's???

Just copy somebody's avatar when it comes out. When you look at
how this team's been playing the last three weeks, and gulp once you
take a gander at the post-bye schedule, you'll see a TON of pink soap
avatars.

Zero heart. Check.

Zero fire. Check.

Zero prep. Check.

Seems like Kubiak is doing a fine job doing what he knows best.

I just put in a request for a pink soap signature in the graphics thread.

It'll stay up until the guy gets fired or wins a Super Bowl.

I'm ready for some Frank Bush pink soap too. Five games in - still just bad game plans considering our lack of talent in the back 7. I thought Bush was going to bring the pressure this year, but playing a bunch of zone with off coverage and only 4 rushers and nothing at all different or exotic to throw Eli off?

And I was extremely disappointed in Brian Cushing today. I thought that guy was going to be knocking some heads around and flying to the ball and making big plays. Instead, he was a JAG today. Guess that's what happens when you stop taking PED's.

The coaches are the chess players, the players are the pieces.
Gary Kubiak is no Gary Kasparov.

I guess dude...it's still on the players too. Chess pieces don't commit 76 penalties on the field (71 of those on special teams, lol)...so while, yeah, i can blame the coaches...Schaub sucked, run blocking was awful and the defense was ****.

The coach if the blame, if the Texans play three straight weeks of unfocused,
undisciplined, sloppy football. They beat the Raiders, but got thoroughly whipped
the other two times.

How did Schaub suck... The O-line was falling apart and Schaub barely had time to think before getting pummeled.. All it was, is that the Giants came in with a better game plan and the Texans didn't improve theirs throughout the game. They did, however, play very very sloppy.

Yeah, our secondary is trash, but there is just way to much talent on this team to have played like they did today. I blame the Coaching staff. At some point in time you have to quit bitching at the players and look at the source of the problem.

Imagine the entire AFC South being 3-2 after today and we've still got five AFC South games to go, along with other really good teams on our late year schedule. The freaking Texans are just to hot and cold, they're as consistent as the weather and as irritating as the Houston humidity.

What it's beginning to look like is just the same old inconsistent Texans, just a more talented bunch but the same nonetheless.

I could choose anyone of the coaching threads to put this in, but I am already here so her it goes.

I want a proven HC. A proven winner, Gruden or Cower being my top two, Gruden being my first choice because he runs a 4-3, which would not jack up our lineup.

Not directed at you, but PLEASE tell me how Gruden qualifies as a proven HC? He took a team Dungy created and won a superbowl. The next two years he went 7-9 and then 5-11. Gruden, an "offensive guru" leaned heavily on the Monte Kiffen/Tony Dungy styled Defense to win. When his D got old, the "guru" couldn't get it done.

Well, he built a Raiders team that went to that same Super Bowl, and his best coaching job may have been his final year, when he went 8-8 with no one. I'm not saying Chucky's a HoF coach, but you sell him way too short.

He is 100 - 85 overall, with 2 super bowl victories. You forgot him winning one (then youngest ever) as the Raiders coach. As for the Bucs collapse, one can easily contribute that to a lack of draft picks, as the Bucs traded away 2 firsts and 2 seconds to acquire him, as well as not drafting well in the first place (terrible GM in McKay). There were also severe salary cap issues, that TB is only now recovering from.

Gruden never won a super bowl as the coach of the Raiders.

sobering reality........sad but true sheesh:shots:

THis season is not over do u think the Jags titans are saying Fire the entire staff nooooo

the time to hit the reset button is not yet upon us

Yes, Gary. We know.

Yeah what the hell was that? This team had the worst game plan imagined. We couldnt run the ball. We couldnt throw the ball. Our ST were horrible. Thank God our offense got the ball on the NYG 30 yard line or we would have been shut out of the endzone.

WHY IS STEVE SLATON STILL RETURNING KICKS? Srsly.

Kubiak is very good at using up all his credits really fast.

A so called "weak" NFC East is kicking our asses. Badly.

This just in, you have to win at home, and be consistant!

When the game doesn't go to Kubiak's script, yes he says he "scripts" the first 15 plays of the game,

Kubiak goes from this....

Does Rex Ryan have a brother who is just as intense?

Kubes drafted all of these players? He helped Rick Smith get his job? This team is built in Kubes vision and it seems as though his vision is blurry at best.

Gruden > Kubiak

Thanks Uncle BoB for signing Kubiak to that contract extention. That means we get to watch 2-3 yrs of the same crap that we saw Sunday.

But hey this knew gameday experience is great. LOL

Hopefully Bob will be smart enough to fire Kubiak after this season if we win 9 or less games.

I'm not going to get into any firing talk. It's out of my control as a fan.

Scripting is an issue. I get staying the course but how does one refuse to coach on the fly? I recognize that Kubiak splits plays equally but it's the timing of his scripts that bother me. Come 2nd and 3rd down, teams and people watching on the boob tube know what's coming after stopping the 1st down play. Kubiak is now... shopworn.

1. Recognize
2. Adjust
3. Go with it

Sounds like the last home game we had.

Bob ain't firing Kubiak unless we win 6 games or less....and the players will do just enough for Gary to keep his job so they don't have to get their ass chewed out by a decent head coach. It's easier for the players to do just enough to keep Country Club "It's On Me." Gary Kubiak around.

I have been patient this year, but if they lose to the Chiefs next week, Gary needs to start taking some serious heat and the fans need to run his sorry ass out of town.

Pathetic preparation and performance yesterday and Gary says 'It's on me'

Screw you gary. You truly suck.

Kubiak seems totally disconnected from the players when standing on the sidelines. He doesn't stand near anybody. I always hovered around my coach when I was on the sidelines back in high school.

Might as well coach from a booth.

I guess he really IS more of a coordinator than head coach.

I have believed that Kubiak is the right coach but after watching Dallas and New York whup butt, I was ready to remove him yesterday. Play calling looked atrocious, Kareem Jackson was lining up yards off the WR and missing almost every "chuck" and then trying to close. Even the INT he got was because the ball was underthrown. He got beat like Tina Turner. One thing we learned is that Saban did not make him an NFL cover CB. I was hopeful KJ would make me eat crow after I said he was the wrong CB taken in the first. I also paid more attention to Brice McCain after a poster said he was terrible and I found that to be true. Now KJ is on Gary and Smith as they want this type of CB. Fact is their DB philosophy in general is terrible. Nolan looked out of place all game but that may have been how he was told to position himself.

Frank Bush needs to get it together. There was no defense the first half. Why did he wait until half time to try something new? Same with the OC pushing Foster when it just was not working.

And then when they were finally getting pressure on Manning (causing him to be rushed and throw the two interceptions) they go back to what they were doing in the first half.

I was having a hard time figuring out why they quit doing what was working?
Maybe someone out there can figure out whether our defense changed schemes or if the Giants figured out what we were doing and changed theirs.
I'd take the time to re-watch and figure it out but, I really want to keep liking my TEXANS and I believe if I watch the game again that may not happen...

Bush is the one that pissed me off yesterday. I used to get so pissed seeing our CB's play so soft off the LOS when Smith was here. We were running that same puh c coverage in the first half. We come out in the 3rd running more press coverage and by george we actually started looking like a defense.

In short, being a defensive-minded person, I'm sooo sick of having a panzy-assed defense.

Unless they get straight quick, they aren't even close to a playoff team

I could care less about the playoffs
I want someone here who can help us win a championship and until we keep nickel and diming our roster and our coaching staff we will continue to be mediocre even in a good year

They better turn things around or we all saw what happened with oiler fan support and those guys actually won and made the playoffs almost annually

There is plenty of tie to tur it around but kubiak has given me no reason to have hope...none at all

My 7-9 prediction (due to SOS) was taking some heat when we started 3-1. But if we lose to the Cheifs it wont be so off the wall.

Gary Kubiak: "It's on me."

If Kubiak keeps saying this, I'm going to start believing him! :rake:

There was so much wrong yesterday, though, that I have to spread the blame around on everyone, coaches and players alike. That was a pathetic display and just makes me sad that we seem to be taking two steps forward and one step back again.

You should because it is, but so are the 3 wins.
