MNF: Ravens/Jets and Chargers/Chiefs

Ryan

THIS YEAR
I'm really looking forward to the Ravens and Jets contest. Two of the most physical teams in the league squaring off against each other.

My prediction:

Ravens-17
Jets-14

Probably will just scan the next game strictly for fantasy purposes, cause i don't think KC has much of a chance unless Jamaal Charles goes on a tear, which is definitely possible.

Chargers-24
Chiefs-13

Flacco got nailed! Though his fault; he held onto the ball too long, then fumbles it, Jets recover, settle for 3.

Big return by McCluster! The young Chiefs with their speed are putting a whoopin' on the Bolts!

no kidding, dude looked like someone was fast forwarding the feed.

Yeah, between Areanas and McCluster returning, and Charles slicing in the running game, the Bolts clearly were not prepared for the speed of the Chiefs. Plus, the crowd is really fired up and the defense is playing with a passion they haven't seen in KC in a few years.

Both games have been fun to watch!! KC is rockin the house tonight!! That "sea" of all red is awesome!! Wind and rain, and having to have someone hold the football for a kickoff to keep it from blowing over. Man, that's football weather for sure!! Beat the elements!!

I soooo hate that song.

"Hey soul sister, hey ya' fart noise fart noise gag me with a spoon"

Perhaps THE most annoying song since "Lean On Me" back in about 1988 or 1989.

Check that. Maybe we need to slide "Don't Worry, Be Happy" in there too. Ugggh...

Nothing to do with the game really, but I would like to take this opportunity to thank whoever decided that one game a season was once too often for Greenie, Golic and Ditka to be the booth announcers for an NFL game.

The Raven and Jet defenses are good, but the offenses were not good. I think Sanchez has a little Carr in em. Cromartie shows why the traded him for a 4th.

Damn that place is LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!

Before Texans, I was a Chiefs fan.

Did I mention it's freaking LOUD?

Let's make Reliant like this all the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thomas Jones not impressing me tonight.

Maybe Kubiak knew LT and Thomas Jones weren't going to cut the mustard in our system.

Jones needs an obvious seam in order to get through it. He had a nice, wide lane on one play. Then the next rush he had, he starts slowing down and actually turns sideways and then turns his back to the LOS because the designed-opening wasn't there.

In short: Not exactly looking for ways to create his own opportunities out there. If it wasn't easy, he wasn't interested in it.

Chargers putting together a drive here. Finding a rhythm.

If they score, it makes it 21-14, with 4th qtr. to go.

Might become a game here in a little bit.

And there it is, folks.

A 60-yard TD pass to a wide open Chargers WR.

21-14. Chiefs fans a little nervous, as the cameras show crowd shots. Not nearly as loud.

Rivers got pissed off and basically willed them down the field.

Hate the kid all you want, he freaking scraps and battles out there.

The Chiefs aren't who we thought they were :francis:. I just got done exercising and expected to come back to see the Chargers dominating 35-7 or something...boy was I wrong.

I'm happy that the Chargers are getting their asses handed to 'em, but I am really starting to worry for my team. We have a really good chance of being at the bottom of the AFCW if our o-line doesn't improve and if Campbell doesn't grow a pair :brickwall:.

Oh well, can't worry about that now. Going to go watch the game and browse the Chargers message board to read the meltdown that must be ensuing over there.

"Yes...Yeessss, Oh let me taste your tears, tears are so yummy and sweet"

Rivers is beasting.

Tolbert doing his best Ironhead Heyward impersonation.

You guys are missing a helluva' game right now if you're not watching.

Chargers threatening to tie the game. 8:41 left to play, and driving.

Bernard Pollard just ran onto the field in street clothes and knocked the piss out of someone.

That would be awesome if it had really happened. LOL.

1st and goal Chargers. On a 4th down play.

LOL.

I smell a HUGE meltdown by Chiefs fans after this game.

Rivers calls a final timeout with :39 left on 4th down...

Chargers come to the line, about to snap the ball...

And the Chiefs call a timeout, trying to see the formation of the Chargers...

Back to the LOS...

Ball is snapped....

Nobody open, pass incomplete. Chargers receiver slips, which happened a few plays earlier, too. Had rained all game long tonight, affecting the traction.

Chiefs will win. But I have a feeling the final outcome is not entirely indicative of the rest of the season for these two teams. The Chargers looked like they finally woke up a little too late.

Good game.
Other than the fact that Ryan Mathews scored exactly enough to beat me in my league tonight.

Yeah, that was a great game. I really hate that Rivers is on the Chargers, if he was on any other team he'd probably be my favorite QB. I got to give it up to the Chiefs fans as well, they were loud as hell when it counted.

The Chiefs-Chargers game was very entertaining, very exciting thanks in part to some of the leagues best fans at Arrowhead. On the other hand the
Jets-Ravens game was neither entertaining or exciting but I still liked it because big-mouth Ryan got his fat-azz beat.

That and it's always fun to hear Greeny on Mike and Mike whine. I watched the show this morning for 45 minutes and that's all that was discussed as far as I saw. No surprise but for me that adds to the irritation of on-and-on about the J-E-T-S-U-C-K.

My boy Dexter McCluster did what he does. Guy's a playmaker! He's got the quickness and the top end speed, dangerous player.

Michael Oher did a good job as well, Jets were blowing up the right side of the line though.

Kyle Wilson did not have a good debut game. He looked lost out there. Kareem Jackson > Kyle Wilson at this point.

Yeah, McCluster looks good.

I ****ing HATE Rivers. I have never seen a guy talk as much **** as him having accomplished exactly nothing. He is ALWAYS running his little punk ass mouth.

Maybe thats what I like him, he's a QB with a mouth on him. The guy is a douche, I'll give you that, but I'm sure if he was on the Texans you guys would love him. Same if he was on the Raiders, he'd still be a douche, but he'd be our douche :D.

I have a feeling the Giants FO are regretting trading Rivers for Eli. Yes Eli helped them win a SB with that play, but if they had Rivers I think they may have won 2-3 SBs by now.
