NFL's Most Hated

CloakNNNdagger

Hall of Fame
Looks like some of our "favorite" names have made the hit list this year. Makes us here look a little less crazy.

Mike Vick is the most hated sports figure, two years running

Last year, quarterback Mike Vick topped a Forbes poll of the most hated persons in sports.

This year, he can crack the champagne again.

Vick has landed at No. 1 for a second straight year, even though he largely has become irrelevant as a backup quarterback and part-time gimmick option for the Eagles.

The rest of the 2010 top five consists of Raiders owner Al Davis, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, golfer Tiger Woods, and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

Last year, Dodgers outfielder Manny Ramirez landed at No. 2, followed by Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, Bills receiver Terrell Owens, and Lakers star Kobe Bryant.

In 2009, no one connected to the NFL other than Vick landed in the top ten. This year, the NFL holds four out of the top five spots. We're not sure whether it's evidence of a sign of growing fan discontent against pro football -- or whether it's further proof that no sports league inflames passion like the NFL.

We'll pick the latter. But it would be wise for the league and the NFLPA to at least consider the possibility that it's the former.

Fickle America! IMHO, it should be Rapesburger. Woods, Vick, Jones, Davis.

Michael Vick is an obvious #1 cause of all the dog lovers out there.

Manny Ramirez shouldnt be on the top 10. Just is cause he was a bosox. Lots of people do steriods. Doesnt mean he should be #2.

Alex Rodriguez shouldnt be top 10. Just is cause he is a yankee.

TO deserves to be on this list due to being a cancer on 3 seperate teams. Not number 4 though. Its not like he killed a *****.

Isiah Thomas? I guess I might be a little young for him. So whatever. Dude sucks at running a NBA team though.

Kobe Bryant deserves to be on this list for appearing arrogant, his rape trial and addultry. Maybe a couple spots lower though.

Allen Iverson #6? Why? Cause he dresses like a gagsta? Give me a break. Dude is crazy, but that bad.

Stephon Marbury is a nutjob who stole money cause he sucks. Not sure why he is so hated.

Nick Saban needs to be higher on this list. Dude lied straight to the American peoples face and could give a shite.

John McEnroe. Before my time...

Where is Bud Adams?

Where have you been all of these years? Manny's been a piece of **** throughout his entire time in Boston. If he wasn't one of the best hitters of all time he would have been gone years before he was. He dogged it all of the time, he talked about wanting to play for the Yankees, he hit a teammate in the face (Youklis), and half of his own team couldn't stand him. He did one weird thing after another while he was there. It's very understandable why he would be on this list.

Isiah was loved for a long time, but his true colors showed after while when he was in NY. The guy gave a ton of reasons to be hated.

Allen Iverson #6? Why? Cause he dresses like a gagsta? Give me a break. Dude is crazy, but that bad.

Well let's see, he acted like practice was a joke and completely disregarded the authority of his coach. He was a nightmare to the Sixers organization for years and because of him no top free agents ever wanted to go over there. He acted like a total spoiled brat his entire time there. Then he went to like 5 different teams and was kicked off of all of them all because he couldn't be "the man" anymore. Oh, and lets not forget about that awful incident he had years ago where he apparently threw his wife out of his home with no clothes on and beat her a few times. Iverson on this list is a no brainer.

John McEnroe. Before my time...

He was definitely a classic jerk, but extremely entertaining. I love McEnroe.

Where is Bud Adams?

The only people that really hate him are Houston fans.

One of my favorite topics... Al Davis

Just to name one of couple of teams out there
The Detroit Lions!!

who hates the Lions?
I don't even think the Vikings, Packers or Bears hate the Lions.
Why? Because they have never won anything, They have no history! Nothing!!
Who are the most hated teams? Raiders, 49ers, Cowboys, Steelers & Patriots and that is because they're winner. With that said that explains why Al Davis is hated to this day even after seven straight losing seasons. I think most of the frustration from the fans are because the team is losing but I'll start blaming Davis when he is our Head coach or he is out there on the field. Davis as a owner have every right to do what he want with his team, he is spending his money to get back to winning.
Last time I check going back to 2000 2001 & 2002 Davis was still the owner and Raiders were winning 11+ per season.

A bit more on Davis..
Football Player
Coach ( Hall of famer)
Owner (3x SB champ)
one of the main reasons why the NFL is as big as it is (join NFL w/ AFL)
hired first black QB
first Hispanic coach
first black coach
first woman chief executive
Davis take chances and most of the time wins. He is old but still cold. Just Win Baby!!

Davis can't live on his past achievements and success forever, that doesn't matter nearly as much to Raider fans after the crap we've had to deal with for the past couple of years. It's been a circus in Oakland for quite some time now, and its finally looking like things are changing. Hopefully Al Davis can add a few more achievements before its his time.

The only move we should do to complete this great offseason is trade for Baltimore left tackle Jared Gaither

I'd love for that to happen, as long as we don't give up too much for him. I think its safe to say we have a good chance at placing 2nd in the division, and if we have a solid draft next year we can compete for the #1 spot.

agree!! We can and I think we will take the Broncos out of the second spot.

Hope so, and hopefully we can take out the second coming of Jesus they have on there team while we are at it. Not seriously injure him of course, just a warm welcome to the NFL by the likes of Seymour and McClain would be nice :shades:.
