Lawrence Taylor arrested for alleged rape

This just in .... the Bengals have contacted Taylor's agent about a possible return to the NFL . In a statement , the Bengals believe that Taylor is a perfect fit .
 
I just saw him last night in a NutriSystem commercial. He looked great. Sure hate to read this. Argh.
 
He was just on an A&E show called Fame and Recovery (came on after Intervention) about famous people and drug habits.

This was just Monday night.
 
I hope he did nothing wrong. For that child's sake and his as well. He's been a troubled guy. I had read he was a new man..had exorcised those demons.

Totally agree. Also, seems like he would have been busted by now if he had a thing for teenage girls.

Yeah, but how do you get yourself even remotely in a situation like this? The accusation alone will probably make him in "loser" status forever now. Wasn't he, we thought, turning his life around? Lay down with dogs, you definitely will get fleas.

Taylor, who has a history of drug abuse and runs-in with the law, was charged with third-degree rape, a felony charge that carries a term of up to four years in prison. Taylor was also charged with third-degree patronizing of a prostitute, a misdemeanor charge that carries a term of up to one year in prison..................

A second man was arrested in the case, New York City police said. Rasheed Davis, a 36-year-old parolee, was arrested on charges of unlawful imprisonment, assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

This might turn out to be a situation where he DID ask for a hooker, but did not order a 16-year-old hooker.

Girl shows up, LT freaks out, girl and pimp leave, and then the girl presses charges. What are the odds that the pimp and the girl hatched the idea with full intent to capitalize off the ordeal?

In this day and age, I'd say it's possible.

Point. You can get LT for solicitation, but rape would be hard to prove especially since she's a prostitute. How do you do a "rape kit" on someone who could essentially have been having sex all day with multiple partners.

I've come to the conclusion after years and years of watching this dude eff up one thing or another that he is just a bad dude....and that's bad meaning bad, not bad meaning good.

NEW YORK -- The man who authorities say set up Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor with a runaway for sex told the woman to tell Taylor she was 19 years old and not 16, according to a court statement taken from an FBI special agent.

In the complaint, authorities claim the 51-year-old Taylor, referred to as "Client-1" in the document, told police following his arrest Thursday that he had taken a car service from Newark International Airport to a hotel north of New York City to meet "Victim-1."

Taylor told police officers in Ramapo, N.Y., that he admitted paying $300 in cash for sex with the 16-year-old runaway Wednesday.

The girl, who was reported missing by her family in March, met Davis at a Bronx bus stop two to three weeks ago. The federal complaint says she told investigators that the 36-year-old parolee offered her a place to live and a way to make money.................

On Wednesday, Davis sent the girl a text message in which he said he wanted her to have sex with "Client-1" for $300, the complaint says. When she refused, Davis assaulted her, drove her to the hotel against her will and waited outside while she had sex with Taylor, it says................

Taylor, the former star player for the New York Giants, was charged Thursday with third-degree rape and patronizing a prostitute. His lawyer, Arthur Aidala, has denied the charges, saying Taylor did not have sex with the girl and did not rape her.
