This game will be probably the biggest of the year. Just because the Texans can go over .500 by two games at the midway point, (easy bench mark), and then they play Indi in Indi next week. I just have a feeling that the rest of the season hinges on this game. If they lose, then .500 is what will probably happen. Maybe 9-7 but no better. If they win, then a 10-6 or even an 11-5 is possible.
This is EXACTLY what I was thinking. This is a very pivotal game, imo. One could even go as far to say that this is a "must win", imhmfo.

Why is GQ starting ahead of Reeves? It says Reeves is playing. I'm as big a fan of Quinn as everyone else here and think his emergence is a big reason why the defense has turned themselves around lately but I dont think he should be starting ahead of Reeves.
His best position is in the nickel imo where we can better take advantage of his tackling ability by keeping him in the flats to sniff out screen passes and send him on the occasional CB blitz.
Maybe they're grooming him to take Dunte's place next year?
Reeves let a rookie receiver who had zero practice time prior to the game (ever in the NFL) owns him!
Crabtree had 5 catches for 56 yards. Good debut but it hardly counts as "ownage". I wonder if TO is in Reeves' head from their time practicing against eachother with the Cowboys and the coaching staff doesn't want to risk TO having a big game?

Good point, but it was an outstanding college prospect that didn't have any game film that he was up against. So that could cut either way. Also I hate to keep dogging D-Rob, but I think Crabtree may have put up bigger numbers against D-Rob. Latst but not least it seemed like the CB's were playing the awesome Richard Smith 15 yard buffer special. I don't understand why they don't put Reeves in tight coverage all the time, maybe he still hasn't gotten his speed back yet.

I love dogging Dunta, he's the king of letting his receiver catch the ball and then making a tackle.
Reeves was playing on-man coverage against Crabtree several times, and he got beat on the first step.
Reeves would be OK on T.O. who doesn't have a lot of quick moves left, but Evans can still be a bad matchup for him.
I like Reeves a lot. But, I was at the game last week, and Crabtree was beating him like a rented mule. My heart was in my throat everytime he was isolated on Reeves on the outside. I think it was just a bad game for Reeves. I won't worry too much about it until I see a trend.
The way the Texans D is set up, we use Dunta in baiting situation a lot.
It's just that the result hasn't materialized.
The one thing I would beware of with Buffalo is they are slowly making an art form of winning games ugly, if not just making their opponent play ugly as well:
6-3 loss to the Browns
16-13 beat the Jets, Sanchez has 5 picks'
17-9 over the Panthers
I predict 14-7, Texans but this wont win no beauty contest. If Slaton can finally et on track make it 21-7.
