Cedric Benson vs. Steve Slaton/Chris Brown

Slaton better hold onto the ball or he's not going to be a part of this conversation.

With the way our zone blocking scheme usually works, I would be OK with having Benson in there WITH Slaton.

Because that's what we could have had: Both of them.

I don't know why there's this persistent debate about us only getting to have one of them. This would not have been an either/or situation.

This would have been adding a power runner who would have brutalized defenses late in the game or during crucial plays, such as 1 yard from a TD.

Having that bigger back who can still break off big runs is exactly what this team needs to add to its weaponry.

In an uncapped year, how about signing LT to see if he can make a comeback in a ZBS?

I think he's Marshall Faulk'd already.

There just comes a point when guys are out of tread on their tires, IMO.

It happened to Priest Holmes. Faulk. And now, LT.

I had read the Bengals didn't do well against pass catching RBs. The Texans took full advantage of that weakness today. Nice to see.

you mean the staff game planned?

It certainly looks like they took what was there to be taken.

The blurb on the Bengals being weak defending pass catching RBs was on a fantasy football website I hadn't looked at before. I hope I bookmarked it...

Well it was nice to see Chris Brown get some hard earned yards. Honestly, I would like to see how our team fairs if Brown started and Steve came in as the 3rd down back. Our team just executed so much more with Steve catching out the backfield.

I hope we run more of these screens as the success of them seemed to be what gave OD all the success he had.
