Bengals board

Antwan Odom got most of his sacks on GB, yeah that O-line is a complete joke...probaly will keep them out of the playoffs too...
What's funny about this is....Yeah, you can say your offense wasn't right cuz of the line and the QB last season and that's true, but your defense...

It's practically the same guys that got torched and straight dominated last yr. Our O-line gave good protection.

Antwan Odom, Pat Sims, and Domata Peko all had 0 sacks and almost no semblance of pressure against our attack...
Odom has eight sacks this year. Eight! And while five did come against the Packers, two of those sacks came against Chad Clifton. The other three came against his backup. But then there's three more against teams with much better offensive lines, including Denver.

Odom has put on 30 pounds since last year, and a lot of that is muscle. He's a different player this year.

You and your crappy offensive line will see.

The secondary that got lit up? Joseph-was horrible, Leon Hall-was just as bad...We picked apart practically the same defense last season and Schaub had time against those guys...
Again, that was last year. This is a different year, with a team that has a full year in Mike Zimmer's defensive system.
Now they are goin to play the best WR core again that they have yet to face since last season.....

What are the chances we go off again? Not too bad...:spin:
I'm not saying you won't score. But I'm definitely saying they won't do the Bengals like last year.

Watch.

I'll give WhoDeyBengals credit for for bringing it. Thanks bro. I think this is a reality check for the bengals. Bengals have made plays at the right time and we respect what they've done but they aren't trashing anyone. Don't see any reason to fear them.

I think this has the makings for the Bengals to get caught off guard a little bit and we can march in there and play a lot tougher than we are getting credit for, this team has shown the ability to fight back and displayed a lot of heart. I think their backs are against the wall and they are pissed and the Bengals are riding a high right now and rightfully so, they have played outstanding ball so far this season. But they can't afford to get overconfident.

It's going to be interesting to watch this one. I really don't know what to expect, from us getting blown out to us going off on them and whooping them up, to possibly a real tight one.

My best guess right now is that it's going to be tight one, and whichever team finishes and plays stronger in the 4th quarter will be the victor.

Nothing like a smack talking bengals fan. One thing that I'm not gonna do is sit here and say we will win this game, because I do certainly have a respect for the way they are playing this year. I really do hope your beloved bengals are taking us as lightly as their fans are. And for the life of me, I can't figure out what would possess you to say that you have a far better group of receivers than we trot out on the field. And then the bit about Cushing. Puff, puff, pass......

From my trip to the Natti a few years back.

Texans&

:spit:

Yeah, they kicked our asses. It's just too bad nobody was there to see it.

Hey, it's fun for me, too. I actually started talking on the Denver board about four years ago, and I've been a member there ever since. I've even been awarded the "Smack King" award three times.

It's more fun with rival fans. And as far as this Sunday goes, I'm hoping that we don't have another "Cardiac Cats" game this week. I hope we get a convincing win. But a win is a win. I'm just sick of the crazy finishes - I might keel over from all of the stress every week!

I'm going to confess: I try to follow every team reasonably closely, but I don't know any team better than my own and the ones inside our division. While I do think the Bengals have a top-5 WR corps, I'll give you guys credit: Andre Johnson is a damned beast. And I know all about K-Dub, because, well, you guy got him from the Bengals. I forgot all about Davis. He's another good one.

Nothing like an overconfident Bengals fan to bring this board together!!!
You're welcome. Enjoy the solidarity, comrades. :butterfly:

I like what the Bengals are doing this year. I've been rooting for them to make the playoffs. I think the fan base deserves it after dealing with so much for so long from Brown as the owner hurting the franchise. I had a feeling that the offense would get going again this year with Palmer back, and that's why I drafted Ocho, Benson, and Palmer between two fantasy teams. I haven't regretted it either. It's nice to see Benson doing well now.

The defense has been a big surprise though. I expected them to improve but not this fast like they have. Yeah, Rey was the pick I wanted at LB all along this year even over Cushing. But after watching Cushing now, I'm glad we got Cushing instead since we already had Demeco any way. We made the right call, but Rey is doing really well and that's nice to see him next to Rivers at LB.

Beautiful. Well played. But tell me, who is going to give Schaub the time to throw the ball to them? Who's going to stop league-leading pass rusher Antwan Odom? Who's going to get open against Leon Hall? Here's a fun bit of stats:

Week 1 vs. Denver, Brandon Marshall 4 rec. 27 yards Has he cried yet this year?
Week 2 vs. Green Bay, Greg Jennings 0 rec. 0 yards Pretty good when Farve was there.
Week 3 vs. Pittsburgh, Santonio Holmes 1 rec, 18 yards You think he's an NFL #1 WR, what is he 5' nothing.
Week 4 vs. Cleveland, Braylon Edwards 0 rec. 0 yards A tree could play corner against this guy, he's Mr. Stone Hands.
Week 5 vs. Baltimore, Derrick Mason 0 rec. 0 yards This guy came out of the 78 draft why are you listing him.

That's what happens to whoever is covered by Hall. And Jonathan Joseph has three picks, two in the red zone.

Do you guys have the offensive line capable of stopping one of the best defensive tackles in the league in Domata Peko? How about Tank Johnson? Pat Sims?

Are you sure those receivers will be able to do that much?

Why did he list those 5 WR's from the UFL? They aren't even in the same league as AJ, most not even Walters.

Come on now Big Lou, that's a very impressive list of WR's right there. Leon Hall has done a fantastic job this season. He's become a really really good CB in this league. Now none of those guys are as good as AJ, and AJ will not get shut down or anything, but AJ will have hus work cut out for him this weekend against a great Cb as Hall will have his work cut out for him as well. This should be a great match up.

I was in the "buy low" crowd when Benson was available. Most everyone told me he sucks and he sucks. Outside of that, he was the suck.

I didn't mind getting him, but I didn't really want to get into a bidding war over him.

What bidding war?! Don't revise things.

After getting cut by the Bears there wasn't a whole lot of league interest. He planted it that he wouldn't mind coming to the Texans initially. The FO balked and said they were happy with their running backs TYVM. Their backup plan was probably Ron Dayne on speed dial.

We could've had a nice low risk contract the first time around. This last contract he was given a 2 year 7 million dollar total deal. Yeah that would've broken our vault.

But...but... he got arrested!!! We cant have bad influences to these "kids" on the team!!!

Also it should be noted that the refs were very nice to y'all in that game....on that big run by Benson there is an obvious clear as day "holding" that wasn't called that helped him....go to 33 sec. of that video

Just sayin...:good:

Uh, they also robbed us of a touchdown by reversing Ndukwe's strip and return for 6. And what hold? I just looked at it again. Didn't see it.

Are you going to complain about the officiating if you lose?

You owe me a new keyboard. :spit:

Yep, you caught me. Just trying to scare you. But see, the thing is, I don't think I need to do that. The Schlub is going to go through the same thing that Roethlisberger, Flacco and Rogers went through against us. Except there's one difference between those guys and the Schlub: Flacco and Roethlisberger had offensive lines that can block. :D
The Jets did a number on you guys, and we're better than them. :whip:

This site has some hilarious smileys though, so I guess you got that going for ya.

1. Jared Gaither was hurt
2. The steelers oline sucks and big ben holds the ball longer than any QB in the league.
3. D Brown is the most underrated LT in the league.

However your DT's against our C and G's is kinda scary.

This is a very different team from last year, obviously. I mean, we've already won three times as many divisional games as we did all of last year, and two of the teams in our division played for the AFC title. One of them went on to win the Super Bowl. Things are going to go a bit differently this time around. Amazing what a little health and a good draft can do to turn things around for a team.

I'd like to thank the Texans, along with every other team in the NFL, for allowing Rey Maualuga and Michael Johnson to both slide out of the first round. I'm simply amazed that this happened, but you'll see why I'm so excited about this on Sunday.

:roast:

LOL at best you got the second best LB from USC.

What are you talking about? Our interior linemen are untamed BEASTS.

No, I won't unless it's some ridiculous calls that hugely effect the outcome of the game....doubt it...

You guys still got the ball I believe and wasn't the play blown dead b4 the return....

Yeah, there is clear holding...look at #63 of the Bengals just pull the crap out of a Ravens jersey so Cedric can run by b4 he gets to him....It's on the left side of your screen 30-33 seconds...

Whoever that is was probaly pissed cuz he would have had a direct hit a Benson....

Cuz it's sooooo much different than yours, right?

You won't get banned over here if you keep it pretty civil. We love to talk football, you can even mix in a little smack as long as you can take it.

I HIGHLY doubt Texan Bill rolled in over there being a jerk and disrespectful, I'd put money on it.

You sir would be a winner.

In fact, my last post was about the time I went up there for a Texans game, and I said what a terrific time I had with 2 exceptions A) They kicked our ass that day and B) the fan several rows behind that thought it was funny to try and pelt us in the back of the head with ice.

 Chock full of smack, no?

This has been my worst experience going to an opposing teams fan board.

My first few posts were just defending that Texans has fans and they jumped on me and all the Texans fans with insults about everything from our team to our state and everything in between.

This makes me not want to go to opposing teams boards anymore, usually it is fun but this is just annoying.

Hopefully we can shut them up Sunday!

How can anyone in Ohio try to talk down Texas?

;)

My son and I were visiting cousins in Cincinnati last Easter, it was hysterical the way they were showing us around. They were taking us to big groceries stores to show us "country cousins" what the big city was like. I didn't have the heart to explain Houston to them.

Same reason I don't like going to away games, some people are just a-holes.

Are you serious?

Houston is more than two Cincy metro areas put together. People in this world.

Did you see my posts over there? They weren't even remotely close to being smack and I got banned after 4 or 5 posts.
