Ron Dayne, seriously

Shaub played extemerly well in the 2nd half except for the intercepetion for a TD and an high throw to an open receiver with 3rd and goal with no pressure with 1 min left.... We dont need Dayne, if we came out to play in the 1st half and actually executed to finish the game it would have been a different outcome.

Your missing my point, we don't have a short yardage back and its cost us bigtime in several games.

I say get an Center in here or if Caldwell is the guy, lets get him in there.

White got blown up again on the 4th down play back into the backfield

ill carry the ball for a yard and ill get you that yard to tie the game in the last minute, any person would do everything possible for that score. our team needs some desire and passion

Cedric Benson went for 120 yards and a TD against the very tough Ravens run defense today. He added 2 catches for sixteen more yards.

Definitely not Texans running back material.

Yea so glad we didnt sign him. Chris Brown is much better.

I will now go bang my head against the wall. Im sure id still have enough brain cells left to call better plays then the Texans.

do you think slaton would excel in cinci? to say benson is the answer is a joke. peterson would would be shelled here.

Try giving it to Leach. The announcers said that Leach did not have a carry all year. I haven't checked the stats, but is that true?

Oh yeah, I remember of few here talking about how he'd be a cancer, and something about character issues and what not. That's fine thinking I guess, what's the Bengals record again and oh yeah he'll be running against us next week.

what ever happened to arian foster? Is he still on the practice squad? Bring him up, he can't do much worse than brown at the goal line. He's a big boy like dayne aint he?

You need a yard, he'll get ya three. Ya need ten yards, he'll get ya three.

we really need that bettis or alstott type of guy who's 3 yards and a cloud of dust. it's bust that we're weak at the point of attack, but we need to make a point of finding a 240lb move the pile back. i say we start training hill for short yardage fullback duties and bulldoze either leach or casey at the halfback spot. similar to the fridge at fullback, beef it up if you cant do it up front.

I watch Schaub struggle to make routine throws, when the game is on the line,
then I watch Matt Ryan destroy a defense. It makes me sick how little
physical gifts Schaub seems to have. I see why Kubiak likes him so much..

Schaub is a modern-day version of Gary. He knows WHERE he wants the ball
to go, but he's barely physically capable of GETTING it there. All brains, little
brawn.

A Ron Dayne thread, seriously...in 2009

They say you got to hit rock bottom before you can get back up.....is this it? I'm almost too scared to even ask.

i've been in every dayne thread since he was a texan, and outside of him knocking out my favorite player, dayne did his job. just as in the first post, we want 3 yards on first down or 4th down. in 7 years, he's the only one to do it.

Yeah I get that, but Ron Dayne hasn't played since 2007......imagine the "shape" he is in now... I'm thinking of something really round and soft.

he should cut back on tequila. :doot:

that's kinda the point though. i think a roster spot is due for a 5'10" and 240lb "fall through people" player. dayne has the feet and balance of a schoolgirl, but he did his job at 2-4 yards more often than not (and much more often than any other texan). i'm not really for bringing dayne back exactly, just the type of player as he or javorski(sp?) lane, or some other heavy back to compensate for our lightweight line.

the problem is still the line, and we need to find a heavy in the middle even if it means going defensive like the fridge or vrabel to make it happen. until that happens though, we need beef (not height as in chris brown) or a long jumper in the deep spot.
