I love how Houston's TV station reported it. Awesome.

If my primary online hangout hadn't blown up under the unprecedented user demand not long after 8:30 a.m. EST on Friday, I'd be resetting the "days without an arrest" meter to double zero right now.

Jaguars receiver Reggie Williams has continued the franchise's tradition of illegal extracurricular activities (allegedly) via an arrest for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana, according to MyFOXHouston.com.

The arrest came in Houston on Friday morning.

So I suppose that I'm not the only guy who's had a bad day.

Then again, how bad can any day that doesn't involve being photographed from the front and then from side really be?

The arrest happened locally according to the report, I dunno what he was doing in these parts this week ?

Any bad news for the Jags is good news for the Texans.

I seriously think that the Jags will be one of the worst teams in the NFL next season.

Nope, but he's an UFA. Doubt he will be back in Jacksonville.

HOUSTON (AP) - Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Reggie Williams, expected to leave the team as a free agent, was charged with DWI and possession of marijuana after being arrested during a traffic stop early Friday.

Houston police department spokesman John Cannon said the 25-year-old Williams was arrested about 2 a.m. on Houston's southwest side after officers smelled alcohol on his breath and a "strong odor" of marijuana in his vehicle. A search of the vehicle found a small amount of marijuana in its console, Cannon said.

Both charges are Class B misdemeanors and carry maximum sentences of six months in jail.

Phone messages were left with the Jaguars and Williams' agent seeking comment.

The Houston Chronicle reported on its Web site Friday afternoon that Williams was free on $1,000 bond.

Williams was the ninth player selected in the 2004 draft out of Washington. He's caught 189 passes for 2,322 yards and 18 touchdowns in his NFL career, and had 37 receptions for 364 yards and three touchdowns last season.

My buddy does drug tests for the NFL. He had to go to Reggie Williams house to test him last week or the week before. Supposedly he said there were doobies in his ash tray when he went over there and the whole house smelled like weed. Lol! What an *****.

And guess what? His test came back positive. :spit:

I'm surprised that your buddy isn't bound by a confidentiality agreement in that line of work. I worked a while in a department that handled drug testing results for employees, and all of the information received in our office was highly confidential.

Well this news might not be so good after all. It might actually make the Jags address their WR situation for a change. The more I think about it, I'd rather Williams stay right where he is being an under achiever for our little rivaled team. I seriously think the Jags are really going to stink it up next season.

I guess there goes his NFL career, arrested again....this time for a felony. Him and Matt Jones seem to like to party alot.

Former Jaguars receiver Reggie Williams encountered his second scrape with the law in less than three months Sunday night, when Houston police arrested him on felony charges of cocaine possession.

The arrest stemmed from an altercation at the Open City lounge involving Williams and two off-duty police officers working security.

“Williams appeared to be impaired and causing problems,” Houston police spokesman Kese Smith said. “According to witnesses, an officer approached Williams and gave him several orders to leave and he refused.”

The officer then tried to escort Williams out of the lounge, but the receiver pushed the officer and a struggle ensued. A second officer stepped in to assist, and Williams ended up struggling with both men, forcing one of the officers to deploy a taser.

“Williams was [then] detained and arrested,” Smith said. Upon Williams’ arrival to jail, police performed a search on the player prior to booking him and “discovered a small, clear plastic bag in his back pocket”, containing what authorities believed to be cocaine. “That’s when the charges were upgraded to [felony cocaine] possession,” Smith said.

A former first-round pick in 2004, Williams was arrested in late February on charges of driving while intoxicated and marijuana possession in Houston. The charges were later dropped.

An unrestricted free agent, Williams played the past five seasons for the Jaguars, catching 189 passes for 2,322 yards and 18 touchdowns over 53 games.

Jaguars Jack Del Rio made it clear in February at the NFL Combine that the club has no intention of re-signing Williams, who set a single-season franchise record in 2007 with 10 touchdown receptions.

Williams hasn’t scheduled any free-agent visits so far this offseason, and his chances for landing elsewhere appear to be dwindling with each off-field transgression.

Arrested AGAIN

MJ: Hi, I'm Matt Jones. And I like to party.

RW: Hello there. I'm Reggie, and I like to party.

MJ: No, you don't. I party. Nobody here parties except for me. OK?!

the jags have been drafting losers for a while....those are Del Rio's kind of players.

Yeah buddy.

His black leather jacket, those dark circles around the eyes...a communal axe in the locker room.

I'm beginning to think that there's a "crop" under the tarp that covers those unfilled stadium seats. :shades:
