Slaton almost Makes Pro Bowl

This is a crock. Lynch has as much business in the Pro Bowl as Ronnie Brown. Both of them are frauds this season. It should have been Thomas Jones, Steve Slaton, and Chris Johnson in that order.

Lynch had a disappointing year in my opinion. The Pro Bowl should be done with as far as I'm concerned. It is flat out garbage at this point. Is Roy Williams from the Cowboys a starter in it again this year?

The Pro Bowl has jumped the shark.

Any Pro Bowl that has Kerry Freaking Collins in it is a freaking joke. Heck, Schaub played fewer games and still had way more yards.

The fact of the matter is, Lynch made it as a 1st alternate due to fan/coach/player voting, not just the fan. Think of how Dallas Clark fans feel about OD getting in over him. Besides, I'm sure that, just like Antonio Gates, or Brett Favre, or whatever, some players get their spots because of work on the field over their career.

Slaton will have plenty of chances to get in.
 
I don't think you do away with the pro bowl though. You tweak it. Voting should start later and end after the end of the season. Fan votes should be less important (don't you think brett?) I don't know how you correct the rosters when it's played before the superbowl and 10 or so guys don't go 'cuz their in the big game. I think that's ok. They are sort of playing in the "team probowl". but it does mean other guys get in not for merit. but for default.
 
Make the voting later, so it's fot the whole season.

Play the game a week later, so the players in the SB would attend also.

On a side note, I heard somewhere they were going to change the location of the Pro Bowl. I believe it will be somewhere in Florida, I'm sure it's a money thing. At least it would be easier for more fans to attend the game. I can see it moving around like the SB does each year, later in the future, the NFL would make more money.

They are going to put it in the same town as the SB--at least for a while.
 
No guys, this is great. We got to see what Slaton did when trying to prove he belonged as an every down back in the NFL. Now we get to see him prove he is a Pro Bowler.
