Hey he is right....you define yourself in this league by how you perform and that is how we have been under Kubiak so far. Now, that doesn't mean we stay there, but to me it looks like we are on our way, and we have reason for optimism.....but then again we won three of our last five last season and thought the same thing...hence, the article by Banks. It's the circle of mediocrity.

If we close this season with a six game winning streak, I think the optimism for next season will be justified.

I agree. We beat the team with the best record in the NFL coming into the game today. If we can close out with a six game winning streak the worst we will draft is 19. Spots 20 through 32 will be taken up by the playoff teams. Since we drafted at 18 last year, it's not like that's a big drop.

unfortunately your season will have gone exactly as the '05 Dolphins. 3-7, then closing with a 6 game winning streak. the unfortunate part is because the team fell apart the next season. hopefully Kubiak is better than Saban

Yeah I was thinking about that. The Dolphins finished up 9-7 and were predicted to go to the Super Bowl by SI the following year I think.
Same thing with the Rams a few years back
Of course that doesn't mean anything. If we finish on a 6 game winning streak there is reason to be confident going into next season

Yeah, I thought about that, and I think Houston is in better shape, talent and coaching wise, than Miami. Really, if it weren't for Sage and the defense falling to sleep on a 4th and 10 earlier this season, we'd be 9-5.

We were not mathematically eliminated 4 weeks ago, but hey anyone can spout stuff and pretend it is right.
Not to mention the offense played well against the Jags in their first meeting and the second Colts game, to bad the defense was the defense was not playing like it has lately (hence all the fire Smith talk). Oh and if rosenfail did not do his thing we would have beat the Colts, so I would say that te team was trying then and that was still early in the season.
It is not all or nothing or black and white, it is more complex than that.

yeah yeah and if Miami didn't fall asleep on several 4th down conversions against Houston then.....
that's the NFL, there's tons of ifs that separate a team from making the playoffs and picking in the top 10 of the draft.

Yeah, but my point still stand, Houston won't end up like Miami. I think it was Saban that self-destructed that team. I doubt it would happen under Kubiak this coming season.

You are mistaken, all close games fall into the its the NFL category except the Indy game. I still refuse to acknowledge it. Bring up Miami and I can talk about how Eugene Wilson should have held on to the ball, bring up Jacksonville and I say they earned that win, in fact every other game we have fairly won or fairly lost. Indy was something else.

See and I didn't fall for that this year once I saw the schedule. I knew we where in trouble, well that the playoffs would just out of reach.
Now next years schedule should be the lightest one we have had in while, and the playoff should be in reach.
Now I also wanted to point out I thought the Titans would be the ***** of the division and that the Jags would be in the fight for the Super Bowl. And that Steve Slaton was a wasted pick, so what do I know?

Yeah, the Indy game really was about one player having a major brain implosion. The question is did he get knocked SILLY before the helicopter bit or during it, because that dive was pretty stupid to begin with.
