The Positives:

Maddict5

Schaub carried the offence and did it very well indeed.

Kevin Walter, Owen Daniels and Steve Slaton also played very well

The o-line pass blocked well

We were great on 3rd downs

The defence stopped a dangerous rushing attack for the second straight week.

Mario brought alot of pressure

JJ had another decent return

The team took a big step forward today imo

great another moral victory, look on the brightside post, how original.:user:

seriously, good pts.

The only positive I see is that the game is over. Every year we go through the same thing. We crap the bed to start the season. Then we win a couple games to end the year and all the kool-aid drinkers say we are improving. This just in - we stink.

The Good:

The Offense (pretty much everybody)

Run Defense

The Bad:

Pass Rushing

Pass Coverage

The Ugly:

Richard Smith's *multiple expletives*

technically, a list would have more than one item:chickendance::goodpost:

Couldn't think of any more...seriously though...

looking at the schedule we have a chance to win the next 3 games....

Indy/Miami/Detroit...we have to beat the Colts though, the whole season is this one game right here. We lose forget about it...we win we could beat the Lions and Miami i'm confident about that and we have homefield against a Minny team that hasn't shown much...

Also these first 3 games could have made our team mentally tough, i'd like to think that.

I mean the positives is that our offense looked good...but idk how consistent that can be. Colts is a must win though to have any hope for the season.

We gotta fix that secondary ASAP, dont know if it is the players or the scheme... but man we wont be able to win a whole lot of games in this manner.

That said the JAX pulled the exact same trick on the Colts last week, at least we were able to get it into OT.

Team as a whole gets a pass, but... man... that secondary... It'll keep me up at night, and not in a good way.

there are none, when you run a thread like this it means you lost and are looking for a silver lining.

Well....I did save a bunch of money on my car insurance. 'Course, that's cuz my car is a piece of crap, but whatever.

It's like I said. We will probably get our first win of the year against the Colts, funny as that sounds.

Good post. We had many positives today. This loss today rules out a winning season for me, but 8-8 is still pretty achievable. We need to start winning this kind of football game though.

The only positive that I can see is that we looked like the team of last year. A team that can make a close game (which can go either way) but never dominate any aspect of the game. We GOT BACK to being an AVERAGE team. Nothing more. Nothing less. I KNEW that we could get a FG to tie but when we lost the toss I KNEW the game was over. That is the level of our team. A good team finds ways to win. We find ways to play the what if game.

P.S. What if Kubiak would have called a timeout when it was obvious that we had the wrong personnel in the game? (jax 1st TD)

The chances of Richard Smith getting fired increase with every game we play.

That's the biggest positive for me.

hey....what if that roughing the passer was never called?

This "what if game" is exactly what I am talking about. What if we learned how to tackle? What if Andre had more than 3 receptions for 38 yards?

It is a loss. We are 0-3. WE DON'T FIND WAYS TO WIN and that is what defines a good team from a mediocre team. We are average at best.

I have never saved money on car insurance I call it out as bullshit. I did however like the offense today. I liked how Schaub led the team down the field twice to answer scores by the Jags late in the game,

yep, average team at best 100% agree.

We used to be a team where guys circled as a win. Now we are just a team that others will remember not to sleep on.

Kevin Walter though and Owen Daniels.

The offense did play good enough to win, but the defense (as usual) turned victory into defeat.

there are not positives we are 0-3 :gun:

other then that i can safely say we can stand a chance aganist Detorit and the fins in these up coming weeks LOL Battle of the losers !!!!!!!

Mario...love watching him play as he seems to be going all out on every down.

Schaub...at least I'll get a break this week for some bitching about his play.

Daniels...great catches at clutch times.

entire team...nobody quit, everyone played hard, by far our best game of the season.

:fans:

Liked the way schaub played. when he has protection, he can get it done...no question.
Also liked the way kubes called the game overall to get schaub & the offense in a rhythm. This is how we need to get the offense going every game here on out.

The Defense....There's Mario & Meco & then nobody else. We're just not making enough plays on defense & pathetic ass Richard Smith isn't helping. We are who we are for now. Now that CC's down, & Demps could miss a couple of weeks, maybe these young safeties will step up & surprise us & be playmakers instead of scheme players. That's what we so desperately need back there. Dunta's return should be a nice infusion as well.

Right on. I was going to say the same thing.

The players usually take the identity of the DC. Well our defense sucks, ergo Smith Sucks.

Give me some Bush!

The run defense is really good. I'm very impressed with it. Pass heavy teams like the Colts are going to kill us though. If we can't cover the Hags, we're going to struggle against just about every passing offense.

Run defense?

What run defense?

Swiss cheese.

I'd run on the Texans every down.
