Hey, you guys want to play the blame game? Don't forget AJ then! Let's be fair and blame all the losers iwho has stunk in the first two weeks.

Excuses for Schaub: Johnson dropped two TD passes, right in his chest/fingers, in the endzone. That was 14 pts dropped by our supposedly "best player". Braylon Edwards V.2?

If you're going to blame Schaub, don't forget to mention AJ too, no way is it fair just to blame the QB when you're star receiver is choking on every endzone pass.

Discuss.

Your right .

I agree that AJ played pretty poorly today. However, he's far from Braylon v2. He had a bad game. He's built up a lot of positives for him to get thrown under the bus for one bad game.

Yea i dont want to hear him complaining after the game like last time (per McClain). He is at fault as well. If he had caught just one of those the game would have been different but you can't change that.

I agree with you J-Russ. I don't know what the hell is going on with Dre right now. He isn't playing like his self right now.

I think this game for him is attributed to rust. He didn't really play in preseason and he didn't play last week due to the bye. He's still trying to get up to speed, he's proven capable and I am confident that he'll be back to his old self for us sooner than later.

That being said, this sounds like it was his worst game since the infamous Bucs game his rookie season where he dropped 3 surefire tds.

I thought I heard AJ was out of the game at the end. Did he get hurt? Hard to imagine AJ not on the field in the red zone.

braylon had 16 tds last yr.. aj hasnt much more than 16 tds in his career

We've never had a Qb throw 20 tds either.

my point was that he implied/said aj had built up enough credit to have a game like this while braylon hadnt

i hate talking badly about aj but he was one of the main reasons (along with schaub, coaching playcalling and decision-making) we lost today

fair enough...point taken

I dont know about 2, 1 yes. A lot thrown to him were terrbile.

Those two endzone passes were spot on and was in his hands. He just plain ol' dropped them balls.

The 1st throw could've been better place, maybe back an inch or two, but it was still a catchable ball and our superstar WR should of caught it.

I don't think any of his drop were easy chances, but Johnson's past performance and the expectations of a pro-bowl WR at least one of them should have been made.

well the endzone pass was not Right in the chest it was thrown to high AJ had 2 jump to catch the ball

another one was a verryyy fast pass and i blame the O line and Matt for that he throw the ball two his back

I blame Matt for thoes cases not AJ ..........

2nd endzone pass was right in his chest, 1st endzone pass was in his finger tips, I think he had his hands on it and it came out.

Both balls were catchable, no matter how you spin it. The first one was an athletic attempt, but the second one was just a flat-out drop.

How can you even blame the QB when the WR had the ball right in his hands??

I dunno.

If the Browns offered me Braylon for AJ straight up . . . I'd think about it.

I wouldn't. Hell no. I can't tell if your being sarcastic. Hope so.

AJ had a bad game. The dude averaged more yards per game than any receiver last year, and he is absolutely an ELITE receiver. One of the best in the game IMO.

Everybody has a bad game every once in awhile.

How many years did this guy run routes for bad QBs, and he does little complaining. AJ is one of those guys I would never consider getting rid of unless I felt like his heart was no longer with the game, which I don't think is the case at all.

He dropped some balls today that he normally catches. It happens.

Hell no. They are basically the same, except AJ is more of a physical freak and does not drop as many balls as Braylon. Braylon had a big season last season, but so did everyone on the Browns (Anderson, Lewis, etc.). Not looking like it this year.

Let's not forget he is out of rhythm and did not really play at all in preseason and it's been 2 weeks since he played in game 1. With that said, those were very catchable passes(not easy, but catchable) and he did play subpar today. But he is entitled to that every now and again. He and MW, DR are proven commodities unlike everyone else.

Ah good....then you understand the point I was making. TO drops, but also makes plays. Glad that's cleared up.

About as clear as mud. If AJ made as many plays as TO, it would be clear . . . but you know it's not.

TO has been in the league twice as long as Johnson and was on a winning SF team with Steve Young/ Jeff Garcia as his QBs, winning Eagles team with McNabb, and a winning Cowboy team with the media star Tony Homo.

Johnson has 6 seasons with QBs, David Carr and Matt Schaub and somehow still managed to be a Pro Bowler.

Replacing Johnson with any receiver in the league wouldn't improve the Texans. The Texans don't have a #1 receiver problem that is keeping the team from getting over the hump.

In the Chron article, AJ took responsibility for the miscues. I'm sure he'll be back with a vengeance next game.

Andre dropped the balls but Schaub was absolutely horrible and deserves to get demoted. He is a carreer back up and it is time to try something new.

Andre will be back and good as gold.

Gary should be strung up for this play calling disaster.

I dont think anyone is more irritated with AJ than AJ .... I think you are right , he'll be back with a vengence.

Baby Shanny is calling the plays now .... How bout we hang him instead and let Kubiak have the offense back . They did look pretty for most of last season with GK calling the shots.
